PLEASE NOTE: There were two factual errors made in this video which I will correct below. 1. The top speed was incorrectly stated as 30 knots, when in fact the top speed is actually 32+ knots. 2. A comparison was made regarding the size of the 6800 Sports Yacht tender garage versus that of the two larger Riviera models. In fact the 72 Sports Yacht does not have a tender garage, and the 78 Motor Yacht has a water sport garage - the tender being carried on either the bow or the boarding platform. Having personally built this boat I can truly say this is one of the boats I am extreamly proud to have had a hand in the making of. The 78 was good and a pleasure to have worked on but the 6800 is just absolutely stunning combining the best parts of every boat we build here at riviera.

I did ask one of the Riviera reps at the boat show and they said the Platinum Edition is depending on options and extras it’s about $6million AUD or whatever that is in your local currency 😊👍 - Scott

I went aboard this boat after the media crew did their thing. Very nice, but I don't like the idea of having a skipper on a sports yacht. No privacy. Too big for my needs, but as usual Riviera nailed it. Great quality. I found the third cabin disappointing. It was clearly to accommodate very small children especially on the top bunk. For a 68 footer, one would expect four cabins taking two adults in each. Well done Riv. I prefer the 5400 platinum and the 585 SUV.
Hey John great to hear your thoughts, I’m with you I’d want you to skipper this one myself so I’d be using the optional crew cabin as a utility room. I did a walkthrough of tre 78 Motor Yacht, the 585 SUV and the 54 Belize Daybridge…. all really nice in their own right 😊 - Scott
Gorgeous yacht. I just wish you could get this with more powerful engines and shaft drives to push the top end to the upper 30 knot range and cruise in the lower 30’s.
Hi Tony it’s great to hear from you….Im glad you enjoyed this one. I agree Riviera sure do know how to build your good looking motor yacht. Yes the engines are not my area of expertise but my understanding is the IPS drives allow them to create more space in the hull which equates to more space for cabins etc….but someone else could provide a better explanation. I have walkthroughs of 3 other Rivieras ready to publish soon so if you like them you’ll see a 585 SUV, a 78 Motor Yacht and one of my favourites a Belize 54 😊 - Scott
