omg this was so annoying!!! We lived in an apartment with 24 apartments, had 4 washers and dryers and they would ALWAYS have wet clothes in them. I always checked the dryers for clothes before I would start washing and if the clothes was still there(not running) after my clothes washed 30-40 mins I would take it out and place it on one of the broken ones. Lady waits there yelling at me claiming she ran upstairs to get money for the dryer and how DARE I take her clothes out if they were drying......how were they "drying" sitting there for 40+ mins when she ran upstairs to "get change"
This used to happen to me until I would just take their stuff out and put it in a basket, wash mine then usually I could still put it back before they came back to finish
Same thing happened to my mom. People show up saying that they've lived there for awhile and always leave their clothes while they go out or go to work. My mom told them it's not right for them to leave their clothes for so long that people also want to do laundry. They still got mad, but oh well.

i live in the barracks on a military base, usually ppl will just change others laundry over to the dryer/take it out of the dryer since the laundry bag it usually on top of the washer , OR it’s our cammies and they have our names anyways so we’ll know who’s is what 😂 plus we all know it’s annoying to not have enough washers and dryers and will change over anyways lol
This is exactly why I hate using the public laundry room in my apartment. People leave their clothes in the washers/dryers, then leave and go shopping! I don't play the waiting game, they have about 15-20 minutes before I call security or maintenance to move their crap.
I always find a nice courtesy to put my phone number on the washer or dryer that I'm using whenever I'm finished so the people who need to do their laundry could do their laundry
Boiled my blood at college. If I left and came back an hour later your clothes are taken out and left out though I was nice and would put their stuff in the dryer. How nice I felt determined if I turned it on or not. I hate going to the laundromat that I’m actually going to buy a portable washer and wash in my apartment

That’s when you just stick those wet ass clothes in the dryer and so your own laundry. Don’t pay to dry their clothes, just put them in the dryer to get them out of the way. I’m so excited I won’t have to deal with this much longer. I’m finally getting an apartment with my own washer and dryer in the unit💯🙏
I had someone take my clothes mid dry and keep them for months because I moved their clothes that were in the washer for 2 days..I despise shared laundry
I just moved and my new house has a washing and dryer machine and you do not understand how happy I am after living in apartments for as long as I can remember
i just check twice and if its the same clothes i put the wet ones on top, put mine in, and then when im done i put theirs back in like i didn't move them
If I can tell that the clothes just stopped than I’ll come back in 10 minutes. But if they have been siting there for awhile the clothes go on top of another machine and I start my laundry. Just last week I had to do this and they didn’t come back for their clothes till over 3 hours later as I was finishing my 4th load.
Matt is right, when she walked in the door she referred to the washer and dryers as being laundromats …. Laundromats are the businesses that have the washer and dryers to use .

I would have waited just a few minutes and if they don't show up I move clothes out the way especially if there just sitting in the washer..I place the them on the table and start my load. When your using a public washer and dryer that everyone has to use don't be selfish and leave your clothes just sitting, be responsible and set a timer to remind you about the clothes so that others can get on to use it. Also try washing on a week day verse weekends..

First apt, used a laundrymat, 2nd apt, I made sure it had a stackable washer/dryer. Only put the comforter in the public washer at like 3a
You can also wash your cloth’s manually,-with your hands if you can’t do your laundry 🧺 with the washer.
