my mom was the one suggesting me to start wearing mascara lol because my eyelashes are very long but flat they sometimes curl back into my eye and that hurts like hell so she asked if I wanted to start wearing it and if I preferred she could buy me clear mascara so it wouldn’t be that noticeable since I was 12 and we weren’t aloud to wear make up at school

And I don’t know if you or your mom know this but makeup can damage your eyelashes and they can fall out after some time. Try using Castor oil or Vaseline on your eyelashes. I’ve been using Vaseline because it’s all I have an it has been working decently. So I personally don’t know how well the oil works but people say it helps for them as well. Personally I also wash my eyelashes with baby shampoo because it doesn’t sting your eyes and shampoos your lashes to keep them healthy as well. Just as you wash your face and then put on cream, these steps are basically the same but to keep your eyelashes healthy. Also, if you have glasses or sunglasses and your eyelashes touch your glasses then you will have to rub off the extra Vaseline that rubs off onto the lenses every now and then so it would be good to find a small glass cleaning cloth if you don’t want to damage the lenses after so long of using a shirt or other cloth to clean them. My mom was the literal opposite. Never wanted to wear it cuz I had severe cystic acne and told me to cover it up. Just that would just get me more acne.
If someone is that desperate to wear makeup just leave it with a friend. My mom was really against me wearing makeup especially anything red including nail polish. I didn't really want to use makeup as a kid but I would just leave it in my locker or my friends back pack we all used cheap kiss and bop brand so it wore off by the time I got home.

I would say makeup at a young age is a bad idea because you should focus more on being a kid. But at around 14 is a pretty ok age to start practicing with basic makeup products and older. Cause instilling in a kid their inner beauty will help their confidence a lot more.
