The cockpit was more of a darker green, the zinc chromate yellow was a primer used for areas like the gun bays, rear of the fuselage where a base coat wasn’t required.

Nice kit, except for Tamiya molding a solid floor. The Wildcat only had the foot channels hence the 2 small windows underneath. I just painted that part of the floor black. With the closed canopy you can't tell.
