Hi. I got a bose soundbar 900 with a bass module 700. Can i keep the bass module on a wooden board on the ground to keep it clean and away from dust? Can i keep it under a wooden cabinet? Will i get proper bass? I haven't unboxed it yet.
⁉️ Question. I have the Bose 900 Soundbar with 700 bass module. The first few months everything worked great but one day about a month and half ago there was a burning smell coming from the subwoofer and ever since that day we had to turn the bass down to level 0 (had it on 3) and when the bass hit it makes loud popping sounds -I looked at it and it's because it's jumping up and down moving all around like crazy on the hardwood floors. It never moved at all previously. Also before that you could turn the bass level as high as you would like and it still sounded good, and didn't move around. Do you know what would have caused this or have you heard about this from other people?
I do put the bass on level 20 and the sub woofer level to 80 forever but occasionally I will adjust to bass at 30 and sub woofer to 80 and so far it works great ..no issue at all. It really should not move with that weight for the subwoofer.
@@evilmanforever Oh ok. Something is definitely wrong with it. I contacted Bose, they said to power off/on the Soundbar and the subwoofer and it started working normally again. About a month later I turned the sub off in the app so I could watch TV without waking up my other half. When I turned it back on it started doing it again, I tried resetting the power again and it didn't work this time. So we're going to exchange them out for new ones cause I'm not sure if it's the sub or the soundbar that's the issue.
The sell subwoofer mats which absorb all the rattling that way it doesn’t have to be on the floor. Mine use to shake but now I just hear clean bass thanks to the mat
People stay away from bose. I have the 700 bass module and 2 sound bar 900's. After 4 months of use someone they unpaired themselves and now im here looking to see how i can reconnect them to the app but nothings working just 1 soundbar plays the other one doesnt and the bass module isnt as well. Seems after all the videos and what not they are very problematic. I was gonna go with sonos but they dont have bluetooth so i got bose and im regretting it dearly!. Stay away from this chinese garbage.
Have you tried connecting to HDMI arc instead of optical?
Hello! Can you connect any sub or even other external speakers to the soundbar. Or is it only Bose specific?

Yes you can connect via Bluetooth to the sound bar
There was no difference in sound at all.
Shame on Bose not to include a 3.5mm audio cable for a 650 Euro device. 😢
Your soundbar must be a minimum of 3 feet away from your router or it will cause irritating noises from your modules.

I am hifi guy but the sonos its not good sound :)
