That rye looks awesome.....I'm the one who asked for all the rain and got it, maybe it will work if I ask for a couple of dryer months now so we can put up hay😉. Thanks Dave.

A little moisture and some mild weather.. makes things grow! Timing is everything!
Our west hayfield and a spot in one of the pastures, both have a little strip of wheat growing. Maybe 10 plants in each. Neither has ever had wheat on or near them. And no, neither get manure last year.. so 🤔
Radish and mustard happen. Especially a wet spring. Like vetch, those hard round seeds can lay in the ground for over 50 years.. pretty amazing!
I'll bet your AC just needs to be charged. Low pressure switch keeps the pump from coming on.

Things are growing nicely for you. It's one of those years no good for spring planting, just too wet. I'll have an update on the rye here tonight or tomorrow.

Great. You see the difference in my rye fields. Field #1 was planted too early which gave weeds a head start. The big field got leveled by deer last fall but it didn’t seem to hurt it.

Good. We use lots of round bales for bedding and we sell square bales.

That's some nice rye. The oats around here is starting to head out. Hopefully you get a stretch of nice weather to make hay. Those new cabs get pretty warm without air-conditioning.🥵

Great video and update Dave. That rye looks really tall. I have no experience with rye and all, so I find it interesting.

    Never combined rye.
The always cut it , and hayed it while it was green. Yeah the mustard.
Central Wisconsin small grain us heading. All corn, and beans around me. Thank you again.

I’m hoping this rye will be early enough that I can get it done in late July and spread the risk out for my small grain cash crop.

Mosquito net. Works for gnats and biting flies too. It’s a terrible year for bugs this year. Ticks are aggressive too.
