That rye looks awesome.....I'm the one who asked for all the rain and got it, maybe it will work if I ask for a couple of dryer months now so we can put up hay😉. Thanks Dave.
A little moisture and some mild weather.. makes things grow! Timing is everything! Our west hayfield and a spot in one of the pastures, both have a little strip of wheat growing. Maybe 10 plants in each. Neither has ever had wheat on or near them. And no, neither get manure last year.. so 🤔 Radish and mustard happen. Especially a wet spring. Like vetch, those hard round seeds can lay in the ground for over 50 years.. pretty amazing! I'll bet your AC just needs to be charged. Low pressure switch keeps the pump from coming on.
Things are growing nicely for you. It's one of those years no good for spring planting, just too wet. I'll have an update on the rye here tonight or tomorrow.

I’m hoping this rye will be early enough that I can get it done in late July and spread the risk out for my small grain cash crop.

Mosquito net. Works for gnats and biting flies too. It’s a terrible year for bugs this year. Ticks are aggressive too.
