Putting oil in your pasta water, is a "no no" ! it may help your pasta to keep from sticking, but it will also keep anything from absorbing into the pasta. You don't need oil. Frequent stirring will keep your pasta from sticking ! Forgo the oil. Your pasta dish will turn out much better without it ! You want your pasta to absorb all the goodness from the sauce you have made.

I love the casserole recipe. I am definitely going to make it for my family. It’s a nice change to have this kind of casserole without tomato sauce. Thank you for sharing.
I really liked how you showed two different ways to chop onions. It just goes to show, when we cook, do what works best for you. It all goes to the same place anyway 😊

This is NOT an Italian pasta dish! Besides, why always add eggs? I’ll do the ground meat, onions, garlic , maybe add broccoli or black olives & pasta sauce. I only like my eggs scrambled or in an omelette! Plenty of chess is good, maybe at the end add some crushed garlic croutons!

I disagree a small amount of olive oil does not prohibit the sauce from being absorbed provided the pasta is rinsed well after boiling. I have used this method for many many years and it has worked for me. Thank you and be Blessed.
No olive oil. If your pasta has olive oil on it the sauce will not stick to it. No salt necessary in the water. Easy recipe. Sauté onion, garlic, celery mushrooms or whatever I had in the crisper. Use any type of pasta.
Do not… I repeat… do not… put oil in your pasta water! It’s not necessary, it’s a waste & it prevents your sauce from coating your pasta properly. It’s a no no that every Italian chef knows!
@@colleen5155 It’s not snobbery when adding oil to the water keeps sauce from adhering to pasta.
