What you would say about Mg30 CFX the ones with chrome plates comparing to these. I would get one second hand and mod (install speaker out jack, change clipping LEDs to Mosfets and install a fx loop if I am able.
Thanks for this review! To my ears, the only place the Old One really beats the Gold One, hands down, is the Phaser effect. The Flange sounds better to me on the Gold.
Thanks for posting. I felt the older MG series sounded much better. I have tried the new MG Gold series and they sound way too shrill too me. Just my opinion, but I think the Blackstar Core:ID 40 v4 sounds better than both.
Why so much hate for the mg,'s I have a 15 wat and just picked up the mg30 fx gold and I like it alot. Sure the jacks are plastic but that can be replaced with proper jacks.
I'm not giving no hate for them. I didn't care for the way the gold was shelved after a couple days but I think these amps are great amps. Way better sounding then a Katana & Fender.Idk where I came across hating on them? I gave my honest review & it doesn't mean I don't have them yet.
Great test and inf-video.
Thank you

I like them a lot. They are just as good imo.

You're welcome. The Gold does sound that way. I never heard the Blackstar.

Is it possible to install a boss ME25 pedal on the MG30FX ?
Sure as long as it has a 1/4" TRS in/out you can go into the front end of the amp.
@@TheCleaner6969 Thanks !!!

Dont cheap out on cables, the fender with tweed wrap are very good sounding, keep lengths as short as it reduces signal loss and noise of long cables.
