Incredible how good the instalink 360 looks! I was blown away. I was totally in the mirrorless camp for the best Zoom setup but the instalink 360 is so much easier to setup and manage. They did a great job.
I have a a6100 Sony with 1.4 lens sigma 4K elgato capture card but I wanted to get the insta360 as well for tracking but I want to buy the Ronin 3 pro for face tracking for live streaming haven’t seen reviews for streaming though that’s why I have held off

Hi. I'm also looking closely at the two cameras to buy. It's great to see them side by side. I find the picture of the Sony much tastier. But the shots of the Insta seem much more fluid. The Sony shot looks as if there are far too few frames. And no, I don't mean the parts where the video is cut ;-) . This also gives the impression that the sound and lip sync is a little LITTLE bit out of sync. But the small stutters in the video gives me concerns (Sony only). Does that have to do with the post-production? Do you notice that too or do I just have to have a second coffee? Anyway. Thanks for the side-by-side comparison.
It is a rendering issue I discovered. I record in OBS at 60 fps, and divinci resolve was converting my footage to 24fps in my timeline during edit mode, and rendering at 29 fps. All my settings were jacked up after I did some playing around with auto wizard in OBS, and trying to save some of my preferences as default in Resolve. I spent all day yesterday getting all my settings dialed back in for Divinci Resolve. One thing is for sure…Divinci Resolve is an amazing editing software for free, but it is not as user friendly as other editing software packages. More features, more settings = more ways for messing things up when you experiment with things! 😂

@@acumen1 I think it comes down to 3 for different reasons for under $150.
Fifine K688 is amazing for pure spoken word only, but doesn’t have the same build quality or appearance as the other two. Maono PD400x has a great sound, great build quality and the only one of the 3 with an App to EQ your audio in USB mode, and the Samson Q9U for superior build quality, can capture audio and send it out in xlr and usb simultaneously for gaming setups. I will be doing a video comparing the three in 2 to 3 weeks on my channel if you’d like to have the three compared against each other.

@@simborar no, but I do not see a setting in the preferences or features to add a second image or source. I do not use the software though, I use OBS or EVmux browser based software
I am thinking about getting the Insta 360 to use in a conference room/classroom situation and am wondering about depth of field and focus. Do you think that the image will have good focus for group instead of just an individual?
It’s should. I used it as my secondary camera in my last two reviews, and the background pictures which were 10 feet away, were just as clear as my face.

What would you choose between a Sony ZV-1 Vlog second user and an Insta 360 Link-both around the same price point, with the benefit of getting a decent camera with the Sony ZV-1 Vlog. I want to be able to blur the background, which I don't think isn't doable with the Insta 360
The only webcam that is out there with true Bokeh is the Razor Kiyo Pro Ultra, but I personally would go with the ZV-1 Vlog camera because you don’t have to have a computer or laptop to record your content. You can use it inside or outside, so more options to use it for content creation. If you need the PTZ gimbal, then the Insta360, but I will always choose the Sony lineup of mirrorless cams over any webcam. But that is just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️😁👍🏻
@@levelupwithmikenewman I think that is the way I am going but with the ZV-1F, I hear that the ZV1 can overheat after prolonged use
@@pluckerpick I am not as familiar with the ZV-1 as the ZV-E10, but in the ZV-E10 there is a setting that on by default to shut down the power to the camera when it gets warm to prevent it from overheating, but we all turn that off because it will not damage the camera. I did that myself with both my zV-e10s, and I have never had a problem with overheating since turning that feature off, and I have (on several occasions lol) forgot to turn my cameras off and left it on for two days, sometimes three. This may be the case with ZV-1 as well, where it shuts itself off by design and can be changed in the settings. It’s worth looking into since they are both in the “ZV” lineup and share a lot of the same features in the settings. 👍🏻

Did you know that you unintentionally made a 3D video if you cross your eyes with your side by side? That mic is really in the forefront and there's depth on your face. The background, movement, and your gestures aren't captured as well but, that's pretty fun.
