  • Here is a rough look at how I printed 1k decals for a customer. These where hand cut using a commercial hand operated paper cutter and a Fiske slide cutter.

    How much ink did this consume? I have a 1k sticker order and I’m wondering. What did you price these at individually?

    Thats a lot of work, maybe this is a dumb question but what other media can you use in the bb-20? You can print posters? Or canvas? Or is only for vinyl print.

      Different vinyls - even holographic. You can even print on canvas material and traditional banner material.

    Hi. Hopefully this will be my go to channel because the other ones are really no help. I have a bn20a. Still in the box trying to figure out which media that is good for t shirts, yard signs, banners, labels,stickers, car decal and window decal. What settings are good to cut. Please help

    • @zumografx
      @zumografx  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Test test test, oh and Test. I can say that enough. Leave the settings at the default level and do some small test prints so you do not waste material. Stick with the Roland media for decals at first until you get the hang of it. For sires I am having pretty good luck with Siser Color Print Easy and use a high tack transfer film. Once you do a test print with the default settings pay attention to how it looks and feels. Then adjust from there.

      I just ordered the BN20A and can't wait to start with HTV. I'm already a Siser fan and heard the ColorPrint Easy is great for beginners and nice to work with.
      I wanted the thinnest and softest available so I went with the Siser S-Print. I also like the lower temperature it uses.
      The main downfall is it can be tricky/difficult getting it on the High Tack Transfer Film. I plan on trying their SparklePrint as well.

    Question? I just got my roland bn20, is the roller on the back supposed to roll the material back in when getting ready to cut after printing? Mine is not rolling and the long piece of material I was printing up got bunched up, never rolled up and stopped the cutting process at the start of cutting.

    The printhead is capable of printing much faster but they cripple the software and hardware to upsell their other expensive series with literally the same printhead and technologies.

      But it is the one that is “affordable” to get you in the game. Unless you buy used. Eventually I’ll be able to invest in a faster larger machine but the BN20 gets me started.

      @@ZumosGarage I don't think so, after researching about BN20 for combo print + cut, I've threw it out of the table since there is better choice (faster speed too), I've gone for Epson P7000 and Graphtec CE7000. Same price tag, a bit more work but a lot of performance different. Yes, BN20 is still good for non tech savy to start with but in the long run you will regret.
