I'm really glad to see Dragon Ball content returning after what happened. Especially the art videos like these. Seeing how these artists handle the material is inspiring as I'm trying to get the motivation to get back into art.

The problem's gone and, shockingly, TH-cam actually went to bat for Mark. Although that took more than a month to reconcile.
This was is a real treat, all of the frames that I saw look amazing! That being said it sounded like Mark was going through things slightly faster than felt natural - from my perspective. Also thank you for the thorough apoiler warning and amazing work!
It's really awesome to have such an insight on how every animator / artist approaches these redraws - this is such a good series btw I hope we'll see even more new Animators on future episodes :)

Super Hero literally changed the game for Anime movies using cgi. They’ve raised the bar.

While I do think this movie has some of the best 3D animation I've seen in any anime so far, DBS Broly is still my favorite style I've seen in all of Dragonball. Was never a big fan of Super's animation even when they improved on it it just never sat right with me. Then when Broly came out I was in pure awe of how great it looked and go back and watch it again every once in a while to soak in that great animation again. I was really hoping this movie was going to be in that same style again and while I am bummed it isn't I'm but still impressed with how well the 3D looks.
dude i just gotta say i absolutely LOVE barkarot's style here. absolutely gorgeous and you can tell this guy has some serious knowledge on how to draw dragon ball. the other animators were also absolutely phenomenal too! the fact they took the time to do this despite being busy animators too- i have so much respect for these people and i wish them well! i would KILL to see barkarot redraw some shots of super broly and daima too smth about his style just would fit so well there considering his knowledge of both old and new dragon ball styles. glas's shot of gamme vs gohan was just chefs kiss too. superheroes fully utilized 3d and glas showed what this film would look like utilizing 2d full force and i just LOVE IT

It’s amazing how many of these are nailed on the first try! I enjoy the final results of both Mark’s crew and the Toei animators, but there is an undeniable experience that is employed by the Toei animators to make the process look easy and seamless.
This is a fantastic video. I really enjoyed the ones with Trev, Ajay and Sans, but oh boy, these guys are great. The way they draw, the results with fewer steps, and that DBZ feeling in each image was TOP. Thanks for bringing the fans this amazing content!

This video was really nice, no doubt about it, but it felt like you were rushing in this video. I was really excited for the animators perspectives in this video but it felt like you were going through showing these redraws then moving on to the next artist in a flash. I’m always here for the redraws for sure, but I’m also always here for your insight and explanations of DB’s animation, the production that goes into it, and the many different styles and talents in the industry. Great job to the animators tho and I hope to see more of them in future videos 👍
@@doublea1148 you’re aware that those clips of the animators drawing are time lapses right, not the artists actually drawing that fast? And plus if what you mentioned were the case then Mark could’ve edited those clips to match however long he needs to speak for those portions instead.

My main issue with the Brolly movie was the random like minute of CGI at the most intense point of the fight that 100% made it look like a video game. Made me not even wanna watch this movie.

I think because compared to other videos, the people drawing are people trained to draw very fast, very well. So he has to narrate less and faster.

This video was really nice, no doubt about it, but it felt like you were rushing in this video. I was really excited for the animators perspectives in this video but it felt like you were going through showing these redraws then moving on to the next artist in a flash. I’m always here for the redraws for sure, but I’m also always here for your insight and explanations of DB’s animation, the production that goes into it, and the many different styles and talents in the industry. Great job to the animators tho and I hope to see more of them in future videos 👍
Well the artists were going fast so he had to finish up quick before the final image got on the screen.
@@doublea1148 you’re aware that those clips of the animators drawing are time lapses right, not the artists actually drawing that fast?
And plus if what you mentioned were the case then Mark could’ve edited those clips to match however long he needs to speak for those portions instead.
@@anjello562 yeah I know those are time lapses. But he said it himself compared to him they knocked these drawings out faster than he could in a day or however long it takes to finish the drawing.

My main issue with the Brolly movie was the random like minute of CGI at the most intense point of the fight that 100% made it look like a video game. Made me not even wanna watch this movie.
