People are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Less disposable plastic is a major step. Shampoo bars are a very marketable way to reduce the use of plastic! Good job Ariane. Food-safe biodegradable film. Go girl!
Jean Thobaben as I will use up my regular plastic film, I want to completely switch to biolefin 🍃🍃🍃
Indeed!! Love and Light ❤️
I have been wanting to make these for so long. The shampoo bars are the only lush product I truly like. I’ve seen bbw vid and was so grateful to know how to make them. But now seeing your vid. These are so cute!! I have been doing so much research on these as well!! I am working on some prototypes now :)

These turned out great, Ariane!!

They look awesome, lovely ingrediënts!
I just made some and they are so cute. A little expensive on the ingredients but they sell well.
Fab video as always! Would love to try the shampoo bar so would definitely like to see them online! x
I love windy point soap making supplies. I literally live ten minutes away from it in Calgary Alberta and only shop there for my supplies. They have really good selection 😁☺️
Hey Ariane! These look very cool, compact and user friendly. Would love to see how they perform in a demo as far as lather etc. The press makes them so perfectly pretty...so jealous! LOL Have a great day and weekend! ((Hugs)) from Texas!! xoxo : )
Kelly W. I did post about using them with a picture of me lathering up in shower. It was on my Facebook page a little while back 😃
she's amazing, right?
Happy summer 🏝
If you dust the mold and the mold sleeve with corn starch it won't stick.
Wow! These look amazing! Great job and thanks for sharing ! I’ve been curious how shampoo bars are made. Love all your videos!
I wonder if you can make these with the Moon Cake Press? I don't have a Bath bomb press yet, and am not ready to invest in one. Since you have to put so much pressure on them - I was thinking the Moon Cake Press might be a good alternative! Anyone have experience with this? Thank you!
That is cool !! Nice tat !
So nice 🏆thanks 🌱
They look so pretty! Love the idea of shampoo bars! I love anything retro! I don't know why we went to liquid (must have been company marketing!)
Wow that plastic wrap is slick!
hell yeah you go girl! love them.
Thank you for the shout out my soapy friend!!❤❤
Desert Farm Company I would say Thank You!!!!
Yes please put them in your online shop
I am not familiar with sodium coco sulfate. In your experience is it generally a direct replacement for sodium lauryl sulfate?
May I ask if you are using scs, what are you using to lower the ph level? Sci is already the correct level, but not scs. I love watching your videos and you offer so much information for the rest of us!
Hi. Is a preservative needed for this since you added cocobetaine? hope you respond thanks!
Hi, great job Ariane. I have seen your soap making videos and I have tried many, they came out very nice. Now I wanted to try shampoo bars as well, can u please suggest from where I can buy this bath bomb machine.
I attempted these, today. My batch was drier and somewhat crumbly.
Super travail. Un détail que je ne comprend pas. Votre mélangeur Kitchenaid semble plus gros que ce que je connais. Quel est le model? Il semble pouvoir contenir plus de 5 litres.
Amazing,what a nice hearts.
Hi Ariane! I'm such a big fan of your creativity- I've also gotten my partner hooked! I has a question regarding SCS- is there a reason why you use it insead of SLSa? I would assume the SCS would require a pH adjustment to less than 6 while the bars made with SLSa would not. Do you generally have to adjust pH for your shampoo bars?
Can you just bake it at home in a silicone mold?
I love the idea of shampoo bars, however I would like to ask how quickly do they dissolve. How long will they last as for say one wash a day. Also do they come for dry. natural and or oily hair. Other interesting point is how do you protect them from water in the shower if you are not washing your hair if you are trying not to use plastic. Would love to hear feed back on this.
YaY, I am so ready!
Who taught you all this stuff ? Lol. How did you get so interested in making soaps 🧼 and many other things???? It’s so cool I wish I learned how to make soaps 🧼 and candles🕯 bath bombs and many other things just like you. It seems like so much fun. Being self reliant is something I just got interested in lately.
Making my own deodorant come on that seems like so much fun! 🙂😁.
I would love to wake up everyday and do something that I love. I know it’s hard work but still... 😊
Hi there, love this - such good tips. Can you briefly explain why you’ve used SCI & SCS together in conjunction with Coco Betaine? I’m intrigued. I’ve been researching myself and haven’t seen anyone combine these in this way. Can SCI be used on its own with Coco Betaine do you think?. Love your work & videos. Thanks so much.
You use any preservatives por this shampoo bars? 😃
Love this! Nice work
I would absolutely buy these in your online store :)
Thank you
Thank you so much
Hi, I like your solid shampoo pressed.....from which place did you buy?
Do you heat ur noodles before you add more ingredients? Didn’t see any heating!!! They look beautiful!!!!
Hello Medeleine, can I ask , what equipment do you use? I would like to try
Lovely. Don't shampoo bars require testing before going to market?
Hi love your work? Where did you purchase the sodium cocoylisethionate ?
Hi there! I'm apprehensive about trying shampoo bars because I have color treated hair. Do you know if they're color safe?
I didnt see the card but yes I want to purchase the shampoo bars online!
Cai I replace scs by SOS?kindly share the quantity of each ingredient
Thankyou
Hi, Ariane, thanks. Im based in UK. Hopefully all ingredients are available here. What does the Patreon Subs give me access to?
I love your videos. Do you also have a recipe for liquid shampoo which is easy and can be made from usual soaping oils etc so that we don't need to buy these other products to try them for self use?
Hello Ariana! I am trying to make this recipe (I bought it) but I only have powdered SCI. What might be the difference? Shall I include some more liquid oils or something?? Thank you!
This recipe isn’t made for powdered SCI as it absorbs moisture and will make a drier crumbly paste.
@@ArianeArsenault yes... i know... 😟 i have to get the noodles! Thank you!!
Great video! what i was looking for! can please share the % formulation ?? thank you!
Love the labels you used. Can you share where you get them?
I'm not sure what the "noodles" are. Sorry to be dumb... what do they contribute to the project.
THEY are so pretty! Is it expensive to get all the supplies to make them. ?Its a pretty hot trend right now in America, at least so far what i have heard people talk about. Would love to try and make them..You ARE the best!
mystical rainbow it depends if you can find most supplies from same supplier. That would save on shipping
AND they are HUGE........ they will last a year
Ariane do you print your own labels? I use online labels but those are perfect for the heart shape, where did you get them or what program are you using on your computer, if I may ask.
can you tell me how I can get the recipe please
I want to make my own. But don’t know if it will cost so mcih
Yay I can’t wait to make these!!! Also hi!!!
Bomboozeled Bath Bombs By Alyssa hi!!!
Ariane Arsenault hi Ariane!
Is the sodium coco sulfate used instead of slsa?? Is it a bubble factor?? I looked at wholesale supply plus , and could not find it ?!!! Wondering what it helps your bar actually do by using it???
Hi, I've heard that scs is really bad for you! Is that true? Is there something you can use instead?
Isabel Orozco SCS alone has a high PH that isn’t suitable as a single surfactant in shampoo. I found that combined with SCI and other surfactant, it works very well. It is biodegradable and approved by EcoCert. That is why I chose this ingredient in some of my formulations
@@ArianeArsenault ohhh, thanks for answering! You should upload more videos like this!
I wish you opened a shop right near me (NYC, US)...I would love to learn from you....
I hurd that there was also a way to do this using M&P as a base with the SCS do you know if this is true if so i would love to see you experiment with that type of recipe!!
merci pour vos videos !
great video, good job
Hi Ariane! been dying to make these but I cant find the panthenol or the oat protein that you use can you please tell me where to find them?
Ariane ma’am please share your website link to buy the ebook thank you
Will this recipe work for a hand press? Thank you!! Love your videos!
are these sls sles and sls free shampoo bars?
Could you write the recipe? Please
Desperate to know where you got the hydraulic press
I love them
Very cute! ❤ and good idea for travelers and campers
Can you pla show a tester... Since India we have no product with solid shampoo bars
Hello Beauty, I just pay the 3 for the Patreon campaign but I can not see the Solid shampoo recipe, where can I found it? Thanks and keep on like this, I follow you since a few years, you just deserve Sucses!!! :D
Where do I go to become a patron?
Hi Ariane! What is that you're pouring into the dry surfactant mixture on minute 7:50? I'm formulating dry shampoos and I am experimenting with dry SLS needles but haven't been able to get the right consistency.
May I ask what size is your shrinkwrap system? And those shampoo bars, 😍😍😍😍😍😍!
In this video I use the 18'' system
How can I buy some of these shampoo bars? You are amazing!
Ok yay I just went ahead and signed up to your patreon
Jennifer Mouton Patreon is so much fun! Not only will you find the shampoo recipe, you will have access to all past recipes and tutorials! Enjoy
Thanks for sharing. This is very inspiring. Have you tried it? How well and how long does it lather?
Angella Clarke it works beautifully in my long curly hair!
I have become a patron at the amount you said for the extra help with the shampoo bars, I had such an extremely hard time signing up it’s sent me around and round in circles and once I finally did get to where I needed to be I didn’t find anything I was looking for it pretty much just showed one of your videos and then there was not much below it besides more talk about how much you can be a patron for but I couldn’t find any other blogs or information or anything please help me and let me know what I’m doing wrong so I can fix this or what I can do or if you have an email so I can explain better to
So please help me !!! I did the 3$ patron for a couple months and had a hard time figuring out how to use it, the found out to get the shampoo recipe I needed to pay the 5$ one , but I’m scared to do it bc I had such a hard time navigating how to find the recipes etc. Rifht now I do have my shampoo recipe but it’s seem to look different even though we use many of the same ingredients.. I want with all my heart to figure out how to find out what I need to pay to get the shampoo recipe. I just need help finding out how to do this , like I said I did do the Patron for a while but couldn’t figure it out or get what I was looking for.... is there a way or a option to pay a one time fee like some others where u pay 20$ for a recipe? On top of being a patron?? I ordered a recipe from a lady years ago and it was printed out and sent out , it was a fun easy way do do it... sorry to bother you just really trying to make my shampoo better ❤️❤️🦋❤️❤️
Kimberly Waterbury Dewitt if you are at 3$ level, you can access all recipes. No need to up at the 5$ level. The 5$ level gives you access to our monthly videos and leave your feedback posts. That’s it. When you go to my Patreon campaign, try from your computer. Go to the “posts” tab and search by keywords (tags) for recipe or tutorial and you will find them all. Patreon is a monthly pledge so you cannot just pay once, but you are free to quit and leave whenever you want at the end of each month. Each of my recipe is attached as a pdf that you can print for your own records
where did u get the mask from
Companies started noticing consumers not wanting to use SLS anymore so now they made tons of different names for it. This SCS is very similar to SLS and is made the same say the difference is this synthetic detergent SCS is a larger molecule but it still synthetic so please do your research and stop listening to someone say "it comes from coconut". IF you still want this then that's fine but don't be misleading.
pictureperfect2690 I am sharing information from my supplier. I do know that all surfactants are synthetic as they are modified. It doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be used. If you do not wish to use them, simply don’t. I try and use those that I find are more gentle.
can you make a shampoo bar using rice bran oil?
if i subscribe to your patreon now more than a year later, will i still be able to access the recipe for these shampoo bars?
