This is written from an expert in the field
There is absolutely no need for vaccines to extinguish the pandemic. I’ve never heard such nonsense talked about vaccines. You do not vaccinate people who aren’t at risk from a disease. You also don’t set about planning to vaccinate millions of fit and healthy people with a vaccine that hasn’t been extensively tested on human subjects. This much I know after 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Yet there are such moves afoot.

„The speed of the U.K.’s emergency authorization-at a time when the British government is aggressively seeking to boost its image after a poor handling of the pandemic-has raised eyebrows among European politicians and health experts.“
„Guido Rasi, who recently finished his term as head of the EMA, told an Italian radio station that the U.K.’s emergency approval of the vaccine was a “substantially political step that is not without risks”. “If you evaluate only the partial data as they are doing they also take a minimum of risk,” he said. “Personally I would have expected a robust review of all available data, which the British government has not done.”
It just feels rushed. It’s easy to give approval. Just imagine there is a flaw which the UK authorities did not find and the EU finds it after millions of doses have been given in the UK. Boom. The UK behavior creates unnecessary pressure. You do not really think that they will spend a minute longer than it is necessary to get it approved under the given circumstances. The virus was acquired by thousands in the UK. The vaccine will be given to millions.

@@heinerschmitz1259 UK is certainly under pressure, today and yesterday several hospitals have had covid patients held in the ambulance bay for 8 hours before they found a hospital able to accept them. (Guardian) This trajectory of hospitalisation is set to continue because an extended family Christmas was permitted and cancelled. And we have a worse strain on our hands that makes infection even easier.
If I had to work in a hospital at the moment, I would be demanding a vaccine. At least we can consider their needs unlike the rest of Europe.

He obviously completely ignored the biggest 'warning flag' of the whole issue, which determined me immediately never to have the vaccine. This was that the vax manufacturers were to be guaranteed immunity from legal action in the event of adverse vaccine events. This was published on the Govt's own web site in Mar/April 2020, and ACTUALLY SAID that in view of the abnormally short time scale demanded by the Govt. for the development and production of the vaccine 'IT WOULD NOT BE FAIR' to expect them to bear responsibility in the case of adverse outcomes. It actually beggars belief that the Govt. should say such a thing, but of course it emerged later that, in fact, the manufacturers actually refused to produce it without that guarantee. So much for the contention that ten months was adequate time to produce a fully tested, totally safe product. Non medical people knew that this was not feasible, yet it was pushed by the medical establishment - who are still parroting the 'safe and effective' mantra.

Don't get me wrong, if hey offer me the vaccine, I will take it immediately, but I know of a family that is willingly ignoring all rules, and don't care of spreading it, I'd rather they have it first, so the R will drop down to 0.5 or much lower...
We still need to do face, hands, space and ventilate. But with that layer of fat cheese in the group that spread it it would drop so fast.
And then we would be out of the woods in a few months instead of more than a year (or whatever it takes to vaccinate everyone).
But vaccinating in order to stop the spread should have the highest priority, not vaccinating to protect the high risk, because it would keep the high risk group vulnerable for a much longer time.

If the idea was herd immunity to begin with, I never hear about that still. We haven't even had recommendations with regards to masks in public places before now - government said it would give a false sense of safety, and they didnn't think we would be able to handle a safe use. All I can say is that we see a lot of stupid decision making here in Sweden, and I really wish it would handle the situation as they did i Norway (which is my native country). I've been wondering about the horrible side effects, from at least one of these vaccines, that I've heard about. Much worse than a typical Flu vaccine. Migraine like headaches and fatigue that wipes you out for an entire day or more. That it feels like a milder form of the actual disease. It's so bad, that the medical establishment is concerned that people won't come back for the second dose. I asked a nurse I know, about this, and she sent me a picture of a woman who was on one of the vaccine trials. The woman had something called a Fixed Drug Eruption. She has massive sores on her feet and hasn't been able to walk for 3 weeks. It makes me wonder, if I should even consider taking the vaccine when it comes out.

I was talking about this at the weekend with my 80 year old mother. The irony is that it won't really matter if there are long term side effects if it's going to be given to the over 80's first - we'll never find out! Just hope the Oxford vaccine comes in in time for the under 80's but in all seriousness I don't see any justification for vaccinating the under 70's at all, unless vulnerable due to some pre-existing condition.

In 2014 we the UK was promised no more fast tracked vaccines after the catastrophic fast tracked vaccine for swine flu in 2009, £60 million in compensatory payments. Only this time the vaccine companies have been granted total indemnity to any future problems with the vaccines!

A GP gave me the flu vaccination this
year as it was a special flu vaccination clinic run by the surgery. I've had the flu vaccine from nurses most often, but some of the GPs in our surgery keep a flu vaccine to hand for patients too.

    • @OrganisedPauper
      @OrganisedPauper 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@christopherrobinson7541 Yes, there's a couple of flu vaccination clinics every year at our surgery. Usually on a Saturday. This year we all queued outside 2 metres apart and most of us were masked. They had one person at the door who asked of we had any Covid symptoms prompted us to use hand sanitiser at the door. They had set up booths inside and a one way system. Much better than normal as every time I've been to the GPs before the pandemic I've caught a virus there because we're packed in tightly and facing each other in mostly L shaped booths, no ventilation, perfect set up to pass on viruses. Plus touch screen to check in. Ick.

Don’t rely on entities who need you to be unhealthy to remain relevant.
