While I can understand supply chain issue's who in heir right mind could think this is a good thing? Thank god my wife, son , and grand children will never be around this thing.
Why just didn’t make a new bolt
Instead of making half and weld to the other half?
The piece they turned down to weld on was easily large enough to have just machined up a new bolt for half the effort.
Close enough. It's a patch but it'll work. They do what they gotta do. Many different safety standards and what they consider acceptable.

Даааа, технологии поражают. Взял сыромятный пруток, выточил из него (все операции одним резцом!!!) штуцер с резьбой, потом газом прямо на воздухе погрел, в мыльной водичке (наверное в сточном ведре от мытья рук) "закалил" - и все готово!!! Сколько такая шпилька проездит?

Mi associo a tutti quelli che criticano queste "riparazioni miracolose",ma vorrei fare notare che il problema è principalmente l'ignoranza dei "tecnici" che vediamo in questi video,mi sorprenderebbbe scoprire che >10% sappia leggere,e anche se fosse in grado di leggere,probabilmente non avrebbe accesso a testi di tecnologia meccanica,per loro,si può saldare?,si! allora è riparabile...

What is actually the idea this stupid, scrapyard video's? Why making an half bolt. Fidling with wheel-studs is very dangerous and should not be done or promoted, no matter you are in a poor 3th world country or not.
