Most of the shops I see when I watch these types of channels are a mess. It would be nice if they would at least clean them up once a year!

It's a good show of skill using lathe but given the amount of 3-phase power is needed to run that machine and the damage to the environment and of course the amount of labor spent, the whole economic justification of such acts is questionable. Besides, it is quite unlikely that the weld solidness of that metal piece would be stronger than the original integral part. Thus, if the original did not hold and broke then how on earth would a weld tolerate that pressure? It will break in no time again. The best alternative is to simply use a new axle instead.

Most of the commenters here don't know what they are talking about. It's true that many similar videos on TY are far-fetched, but I have carried out many repairs just like this, and using the same methods without any problems at all. The only difference is that I took better care of the gear (using an angle grinder to spray the lathe with abrasive particles, and running the steady dry) and I took better care of myself, safety-wise. There are still plenty of places in the world where engineers are not just labourers who fit new parts.

O eixo maciço com quase 5 cm ele se quebrou agora você tem um eixo o com as bordas 5 a 6 mm outra parte do eixo rosca de parafuso 3 cm ambos rosqueando e com a solda no encontro vai permanecer oco apesar de ser parafusado vai quebrar vai quebrar depois da solda
