Why is Avengers Campus Not Coming to Walt Disney World?

- In our latest video, we answer the big question: why is Avengers Campus not coming to Walt Disney World? Following the roaring success of the new land in Disneyland Resort, it would make sense to build it Walt Disney World too, right? It's not that easy, and you can keep watching to find out why!
Due to Marvel Super Hero Island existing in Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando Resort, Disney are unable to build Avengers Campus in Walt Disney World. However, we have seen them use other Marvel characters to build the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, as well as some other meet and greet areas. While we would love to see Avengers Campus coming to Disney World, it might just be a blessing in disguise. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below!

The Universal Campus. The Disney Spider-Man ride is just a copy of toy story mania. Some of my favorite rides are at Universal Marvel Island.

As a huge MCU fan I would love to have an Avengers Camping in FL, but giving the circumstances between Disney and Universal I understand why. MSI is a good land at IOA since now it's a love letter to the comics and Stan Lee, however based on we view Marvel today throw the movies I think MSI is really showing it's age right cause it's been a little over two decades since it's opening but I know it's classic for several fans. Although for tourist who visit FL and most of all the locals (myself included) who see the success of Avengers Campus in Cal, Paris and Honk Kong then you'll know how eager they'll get if they to have something similar at Disney World. What Guardians has done for California Adventure get their Campus then there could be a possibility for FL to have the same impact. Of course I'm excited for Cosmic Rewind and I hope it exceeds expectations but if Disney World would want to go the full mile then I would suggest them to fulfill our desires if Disney and Universal can work out a big deal that can satisfy everyone but hopefully Marvel's future in Disney World will be brighter when Cosmic Rewind opens.

This hasn't been confirmed or even announced in the very slightest at this point in time so I wouldn't even say that right now.

It’s a very simple answer: Universal. There is writing in the contract between Disney and Universal Orlando that specifies that Disney world cannot use any of the characters that are already featured in Marvel super hero Island at Islands of adventure. They can’t even use the word marvel either
People might not like that because they want those characters to be at Disney World like Spider-Man and Captain America but it was at Universal first. The issue with universal that they can’t change anything in that land. They can update new technology but not change anything with what’s already there or add anything new. You could still use characters like guardians Of the galaxy and Ant-man and black panther at Disney World

We already know the circumstances for Guardians, now as for Black Panther along with Ant-Man and the Wasp it's plausible to bring them to Disney World that is if one of them aren't already involved in the contract but I would still leave them on the table. For Ant-Man and the Wasp I could see them in Epcot as well in either World Discovery or World Nature. Discovery fits a whole lot but considering the space that's already occupied in that area it's hard to pin down where. Nature is probably a good secondary option. I probably could see them in the Imagination Pavilion cause to be totally honest the Figment attraction we have today really doesn't hold up too well it's superior predecessor from '83 so if Disney is planning a refurb (which btw clock is ticking) it hurts me to say if Figment isn't worth of a ride then perhaps Ant-Man and the Wasp would be a good fit. Now as for Black Panther, he's easily a good fit for the World Showcase. I remember there was an African pavilion originally planned to go between Germany and China but it was never build, however "a good idea at Disney never dies" so a little Wakanda area or a Wakanda Outreach Center would help give Epcot their long lost country.
