With the Buffalo Bore and my chronograph I was seeing ballistics and velocities eerily similar to my Taurus .41 Magnum. I’m very happy with my XTen and will totally carry it in the woods for camping, hiking, and bow hunting. 👌
10mm was originally intended to match the ballistics of 41 magnum but now you have to pay a premium price to get that ammo. Most common off the shelf stuff is more watered down
The Glock grip angle is unique and very different so I have to consciously readjust my grip when I switch between Glock and my CZ, Sig, Beretta, SW, 1911, etc. I felt that was hurting my shooting skills overall, so I sold all of my Glocks. There's nothing special about Glocks anyway.
They did not neck down a centimeter to create the short and weak, they shortened the centimeter case. To neck down means to squeeze the neck into a smaller diameter or caliber
I've never had much interest in 10mm. With high quality red dots becoming more affordable, I'm more interested in a dot equipped 10mm for wide open spaces. It could almost serve as a PDW type weapon.

With the right load, a 10mm will always be more powerful than a 40, but a 40 will always be way more powerful than a 9mm.

Im having the exact same mag issues with my xten. The ammo I have the most issues with though is federal hst. It just plain refuses to feed right and gets caught in the magazine. Personally, I think it has to do with the with of the with of the opening on the hollowpoints hanging up in the magazine catch slots. Would love to see sig address the mag issues.
I appreciate how honest this is. That can be a BIT hard to find with larger Guntubers. Especially when it comes to Sig. Definitely enjoyed the review probably the best videos I’ve seen for information over the gun and how it preforms. Definitely considering picking one up for the hogs out here in Texas. They’re like walking armor depending on the size but the xten looks like it’ll definitely get the job done. Definitely would like to see a torture test.
Great video Andrew!! I'd love to see you do a head to head with the other two 10M pistols. S&W and Springfield up against the Sig. Only one other reviewer I know of that has done it and I don't think that they did that good of a job.
I have a p229 Legion 9mm that came with 3 15 round mags. I have never been able to get 15 rounds into the mags. 14 tops. Don’t know if it’s a Sig thing but same issue with that guns mags.
I believe you can trim off a hair of the magazine spring without having problems. I used to have a FNX and would push the last round in using the floor carpet being nearly impossible. I really think the Trijicon dual illuminated fiber optic would be cool on your pistol.

Enjoyed your review, especially the reference to the Hard Cast Buffalo ammo! IMHO, it's the only round to carry in bear country. Given your plate rack shooting ability, you might consider a Surefire weapon light with a green laser. Of course, a bear is a larger target than a plate rack. Thank you @GY6vids!
Great video 👍🏽👍🏽!! I didn’t realise you were back doing videos. I was delighted when this finally popped up in my feed. 7 months of videos to catch up on 💪🏽💪🏽
After watching videos of 10mm bringing down a water buffalo in Africa, a charging full grown moose from the seat of a snowmobile, a black bear from a stand, a few wild boar and last but not least punching a hole through bullet proof glass (using hard cast). The 10mm is a formidable round. I tried several holsters for the outdoors and highly recommend chest holsters from Paradise Valley Leather.
I have the sig Xten, Springfield XDm Elite 4.5, and the Glock 29. Prefer the ergos of the Sig but I have the same mag issues. I shoot the Springfield the best and it’d be the one I’d want if the chips were down.
Neither magazine that came with my Xten will comfortably fit 15 rounds. That 15th round sits weird in both and will even fly out if you hit the mag. I tried and struggled to seat the mag with the slide closed but finally got it. When I racked the slide it mangled the brass on the 1st round. I'm holding out hope that Sig will fix that problem in future magazines...but it's been over a year and I still regularly see complaints online. Now if I could figure out the constant jamming. Rounds get hung up on the feed ramp regularly....1-2 times per magazine. Honestly, could be me limp wristing since I'm still new to 10 mils.
Whats more dumb is people out there still shoot themselves with "unloaded" firearms, considering pistol ownership is common, its good to exercise safety so people around you follow suit. Pistols are one of the most dangerous firearms because the barrel can easily be turned towards the shooter or bystanders, so less of the smart ass comments and how about be focus on making America great again?
@@MrFreefonix420There is NO such thing as a president who will make America great again. Here’s the facts….. ALL our presidents have ALWAYS worked for satan as they slowly and incrementally enslave it’s citizens through freemasonry and cia operations. Our other world leaders are doing the same thing to their own citizens as well, no matter what system they use. Why do you think there are Masonic lodges in every town in the U.S.? @GY6vids this came in just in time. I actually just left a store and the Sig fits perfectly but I prefer the slide of the FN with a slightly spongie trigger. That said, I may go with the Sig. Again thanks for responding as these are expensive decisions.

After watching this, I am confident I want the latest comp version. I have no experience with the p320 platform, but have read mixed reviews concerning safety. What are your thoughts on the uncommanded discharge claims? Thank you.
From what I’ve been told all those types of issues have been resolved. But it’s paramount we as the end users stay vigilant on keeping an eye out for issues.
As far as the mag issue I just go with 14 but the mag that's in the gun I go with 15 by locking the slide and inserting a full 15 rounder. My back up mags will have 14 if I decide to carry the gun I just ain't got time for "mag issues" in a self defense situation so that's the best way to do it. But Overall outstanding pistol🔥 Sig dropped the ball with this Mag problem they should of just made it a 14 rounder.
Has the XTen worked out the issues with 220 & 230 Grain hard cast bullets. I have seen videos that the slide could not rack those rounds. I am a big fan of the P220 in 10mm.

The 10mm is a formidable round. I tried several holsters for the outdoors and highly recommend chest holsters from Paradise Valley Leather.
I have 4 10MMs Glock 20 Springfield XDM elite Smith 2.0 and I just got the X10 . The most accurate is the Springfield
Great info, thank you!
I have the sig Xten, Springfield XDm Elite 4.5, and the Glock 29. Prefer the ergos of the Sig but I have the same mag issues. I shoot the Springfield the best and it’d be the one I’d want if the chips were down.
Looks like a beast nightstand gun 💯
That it is!
This is definitely a more thorough video than what have seen so far.
Thanks!, my 13yr.old Grandson wants to compete and his choice of handgun is CZ Shadow 2 . Would you please do an video?
The fact that a guy on the internet has to prove his weapon is safe to an armchair operator before moving forward is whats wrong with America.
Yeah but it’s more to remind those viewing about proper safe handling of a firearm. Out of sight out of mind.
Yeah, it’s more about reinforcing good habits and not showing flippancy with weapons.
@@MrFreefonix420There is NO such thing as a president who will make America great again. Here’s the facts….. ALL our presidents have ALWAYS worked for satan as they slowly and incrementally enslave it’s citizens through freemasonry and cia operations. The left and the right work together to divide and conquer US! These are the hard facts that few will ever acknowledge. Our other world leaders are doing the same thing to their own citizens as well, no matter what system they use. Why do you think there are Masonic lodges in every town in the U.S.? Once it’s members reach the 33rd degree, it is revealed to them that lucifer is their god and from that point on they work to enslave and destroy humanity. All our celebrities are freemasons who we are programmed to idolize as they are used to steer us to thinking certain ways…. brainwashing. Seek CHRIST for the TRUTH and HE will reveal all things hidden and receive eternal life where there is no more evil.
Right
Like a old school 41 magnum
Not a sub nose 38
But designed to kill big harry critters and freezer meat
Had the pleasure of handling one of the sigs today
Definitely on the Christmas list !!!!
Great review
What company makes the grip textures I don't see the link
Links in the description now.
Could you please do a full review of the Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 9mm and maybe even the 10mm?? Thank you bro! This video was awesome! As always! Lol
What a sweet gun!
Great video!
Sig P320RX? I own a few of them. Mine are 9mm cause they when I bought them they didn't think about 10mm. The best mm. I only have one 10mm and sadly it is a Glock 20. Yet It is fun to shoot and accurate yet I am Sig guy.
I am really trying to decide to get this or the Fn 510. which would you prefer if you have experience with both.
Both are great. Choose whichever fits your hand best. I recommended shooting both. It comes down to personal preference at that point
@GY6vids this came in just in time. I actually just left a store and the Sig fits perfectly but I prefer the slide of the FN with a slightly spongie trigger. That said, I may go with the Sig. Again thanks for responding as these are expensive decisions.
Hi! What holster do you have that allows it to fit under your Bino holster? Thank you for the content!
amzn.to/43RT5ga this one
Can you do a review on a girsan 9mm I bought one and can't find very many reviews on it, I love your videos and u always make me laugh thank you so much for everything you do
I’ve had one for about 7 months now
No complaints, I love it.
Got a lil mule deer buck with one shot last fall
After watching this, I am confident I want the latest comp version. I have no experience with the p320 platform, but have read mixed reviews concerning safety. What are your thoughts on the uncommanded discharge claims? Thank you.
From what I’ve been told all those types of issues have been resolved. But it’s paramount we as the end users stay vigilant on keeping an eye out for issues.
@@GY6vids thanks for taking the time to respond. SIG owes you a commission for this video - I'm sold.
Best regards.
Love, love, luuuve 10mm! Could you test Underwoods Extreme Penetrators in 10mm on bullet proof glass and a mock bear skull!? Pweeese!
If you can find a truly replica bear skull I’d be happy. Ain’t no way I’m shooting any of my best skulls from hunting. They are prized objects to me.
What gun oil were you using, and after so many rounds did you ever spray any oil?
You’re gonna need to load up that mag as far as you can, and let it sit loaded for a while. That’ll give the spring play. Cheers.
I just heard Remi Warren saying that this is what he carries bowhunting in AK.
Thanks for a great video! I suspect your only problem is riding that slide. It could have even caused the one malfunction. Yes, gel PLEASE
The recoil on this thing is just bananas. Theres no free lunch i guess.
Id consider this in the same wheelhouse as 50AE
No way, not even close. 50AE is far more recoil
@@GY6vids definitely! I just mean in terms of "comedically large" calibers
How long have you had this gun ? And have you had any issues with feeding like some of the other ytbers?
I wanna see greentip 556 hand loaded into a 22-250 vsarmor
We already know the answers to that. So why bother. It may and may not do what we may or may not think. 🙄
Has the XTen worked out the issues with 220 & 230 Grain hard cast bullets. I have seen videos that the slide could not rack those rounds.
I am a big fan of the P220 in 10mm.
Eat them just fine for me. Also used some hard cast in this video as well.
HiPoint JXP 10mm would be fantastic! Thank you!
Awesome vid
I appreciate it and subscribe and like and forward mate no worries.. it's not hard especially for such great content.. also i appreciate your honesty we all get trigger flinch on them big bores and spicy rounds lol.. you could easily edit that out appreciate you didn't though..
Much appreciated…”crack baby” bro I’m cracking up(some pun intended😆)
Yeah misses happen, it’s always more fun to show the reality of shooting.
I wish CZ made the shadow two and 10 mm. Also Ivor Johnson makes a 6 inch 1911 in 10mm and I bet that’s probably a really nice pistol.
Good video. Were you aiming trying to shoot the ant or were you missing the steel. My apologies, you were trying to hit the target Scott Lang.
I’ve ordered the HKP compensator for mine. It should arrive by the end of the week. My hopes are that it will turn my 10 to 11…🎉
I need this in my life. Carry a 1911 in 10mm as a sidearm in black bear, cat country....buuuut, I'm still going to lug the .454 Casull in Griz territory. And Sasquatch territory. Those last two fuckers need the big boy rounds. Too much mass. Buffalobore 300-grain monometal flat points get 'er done. Good to see your vids again, brother!
Yeah solid choices. Thank you! Have you seen my last 8 videos?
Can we get a review of the m&p 10mm?
14+ 180grain rounds of spicy Buffalo Bore. If that didn't stop a bear from takin' my life, I would assume it was my time
Exactly
love it and need the jacket.. smart video.. thank you for the ed
The 10MM HydroShock Penetrator was going through 2 blocks of BEAR GEL loads of deep travel.
🧐
Fun and informative.
Review a 1911 conversion to 460 Rowland.
