I'm aware of the meaning behind the song and what it's written for/about. However, the good thing about music is people can interpret differently and relate to it in different ways. It speaks many different languages and yet still manages to relate to everyone in some way or another. And while I miss this era of MT, I wouldn't wish for it back. Why? Because that'd mean that Josh was in this state of mind again. He's overcome that. It's something all trenchers should be proud of.

He's taught me everything and I've never felt so connected to anyone before in my life. He makes me not scared and pulls me out of depression. Sure, he's mean when his friends are around, but when they're not, he is sweet and sensitive. He is on my mind constantly as well.

I don't have a touching story about myself, but this makes my brother's life make more sense. My brother started heroin at 14 and is now 16. He just celebrated his 1 month clean in rehab. He overdosed 9 times, and he would have died unless his friend called 9-1-1. It wasn't even his friend, it was some kid he met on the street. The kid wrote a letter and put it in his pocket after calling 9-1-1. It read, "I don't want you to die, so I called 9-1-1. Please get clean and don't end up like me."
this song was writtin from a letter his doctor told him to write in rehab as an excersise to discribe how he feels about his heroin,, it turned into an amazing song

I have struggled with many addictions for the last four years, from cocaine, extasy, speed, weed, cutting, alcohol and I am only seventeen. There is hope for all of you, I am not 2 years clean off of chemicals, one year of not cutting and a month clean off weed. Though I still drink occasionally. My 11 month old son saved my life, he is my lover dearest.
