So true. It used to be a place for people that were on a tight budget. Maybe so many people creative content for social media… showing how they re-sell and profit from their second hand finds maybe driving prices up.😢
Good lord that shit is high for a goodwill store! I don't shop there anymore because all the corporate people get huge bonuses and salaries while the regular employees are getting minimum wage or worse! And the shoppers get the shaft. Maybe if we quit buying from them, that shit will stop 🤔
All seems true. It used to o be great. But the good pieces are gone and the prices are way too high. Not the same as it used to be. I give my things to shelters now. Shelters help ppl .
My boyfriend and I went thrift shopping for our new place the other week and the prices were crazy. There was a dirty old metal pen container that had a $2 price tag on it when you could see the $1 price tag it was originally sold for…I thought these places were meant to help people out and prevent waste.
Agreed but let’s call them all out. My local top 3 charities have increased their prices 4x since 2020. Yet they have decreased in staff. So, they r taking advantage of the very people that they r supposed to help. It bad when u can’t even afford to by thrift store items any longer.
DO NOT DONATE TO GOODWILL! The CEO is a multimillionaire and getting richer because of our donations! That’s why the prices are so high. GREED! Please give to the Salvation Army! Nobody is getting rich from there. It’s a TRUE business for the people who can’t afford new things. 💗
& then still asking me at the register if i want to donate to charity. Didn't i just do that by shopping here and buying things you got for free? And donate things from my home regularly. Wild what they charge for this stuff
Unfortunately so true… they’re pricing out the very people they’re supposed to help and the people who generously donate usually do not realise that.
Goodwill is going to price themselves right out of the market. Their ridiculous prices are sending their customers elsewhere.
I agree. And it's privately owned. CEO makes millions each year
My favorite is all the Dollar Tree items - in package - that they price $5
Goodwill stores are SO overpriced! Its a shame! I dont even donate there any more.

I don’t go to the goodwill let them drown and keep it! They are ridiculous.
Goodwill, takes free donations and charges more than some stores that actually have good return policies. I miss when Goodwill was worth exploring.

I'm over Texas Thrift, Goodwill, The Salvation Army and The Restore!!!

Lots of thrift stores are doing that these days. It's not good
Same here! ☹️😞
Even here in New Zealand, you have to hunt for a bargain.
Goodwill has an owner with a clever name. He doesn't help anyone.

It’s Goodwill not a consignment or vintage shop! What are they thinking with these prices???
I hate Goodwill now. What a ripoff. And staff and store managers steal best stuff. Really. Super-corrupt.
I like my local mom and Pop consignment store much more than Goodwill
Yes I see that goodwill is very expensive
Goodwill is a business not a charity.

The prices are made up and 100% profit for GW. Just how much are they doing for communities 🤔
