@@joshuabrooks4907 glad these guys "quit" their day jobs. A day job is a remedial minimum wage-type job that someone has to get enough money to survive. The term, " 'Don't' quit your day job " refers to someone not being good at something creative. Such as for example, if they're not good at comprising/writing music and they want to be a musician, the other person, the critic tells them, "Don't quit your day job." Or if man A isn't comedic, he's terribly unfunny and he wants to be a comedian, the critic tells him, "Don't quit your day job." It's a good thing they quit their day jobs because that shit would just hold them back as it would hold anyone back. Throughout history people in the world are told they need a college degree to succeed, that the school system is there to help them in that. To a degree college can help, if you want to learn a trade in what you're pursuing or if you take classes in trade school for a very specific trade related to a job. But everything else, forget it. Steve Jobs developed the Apple computers and the ipod, Bill Gates invented Microsoft and neither of them took school, they just came up with a product and went for it. The school system, day jobs, etc, that's the American system/society telling you what it takes to be smart and succeed. And anyone familiar with American society knows full well they're neither. The American norm only holds the 5 to 10 percent "actually not imbeciles with a single digit IQ" back keeping them on the American norms level.

Same but tbh I was never that much of a loser in high school lmao. I think most people fall in the middle.. not insanely popular but also not super weird and odd.
Here's the hope- in my experience atleast, after highschool, some jocks started doin drugs and didnt leave their part time job, some went to college and play college football but none of them are good or getting scholarships that i know of, and some turned gay. Some prep chicks became pretty much trailer trash, one become a porn star. (We were all basicly told by the principal when she dropped out to basicly stfu about it). Or they're gold diggers. The only ones that honestly moved on or did something with their lives were either people like me (moved out right after highschool and have a job and life i couldn't be happier with), or the ones that went straight to college (and actually get the degree) or have their own buisness of some kind. My group of friends i hung out with weren't the greatest and i was more or less a rebel and did some crazy shit with em. They're like brothers to me but they aren't in great spots in their lives.. TL;DR- dont do drugs and dont go hog wild when you get your freedom.
Find what you want in life and go for it. If you don't buy into the rat race and "keeping up with the Joneses" then you'll be much happier. But yes, the d!ks in high school still grow up to be sh!tty adults.

I am going to be a junior in high school and I can relate to this song already. High school is not what it's made up to be, in all reality high school sucks.
You missed the point. It is saying that life after high school is just the same as high school. People do not grow out of their high school mentality. Seriously it is downright pathetic. Look at those who are older than you, and you will probably be able to link their behavior to someone in your school. People don't grow up, they just become older. Especially in today's society.
That is the illusion. Most people never really live up to the mature adult mytho. Most adults are nothing more than grown kids. They are petty, vindictive, egotistical, and selfish people.
Indeed. Good luck with your high school stuff. Take bunch of maths and science (AP), and when you get into college don't major in something worthless like me. Do something with STEM.
This song is the first thing I realized when I skipped college and joined the workforce. Oh lord, even ladies in their freakin' 30's act like High Schoolers. High School doesn't end. They just pay you to engage with it when you're an adult.

+eleanor vaz Yup, i know that one. Simple plan has pretty deep and accurate songs as well but sometimes they're too depressing. "No one cares, no one likes to share, i guess life's just not fair" yeah we know everything sucks. But they should try expressesing those negative feelings in a bit funny way at the same time like this song does
YEES!!!
*"Birthday Song" by 2 Chainz
I hate my life by theory of a deadman
this is so true though. like you realize this in college. People care way too much about image
Regan Waite things dont change 😂
At the start they were performing "1985" IN 1985, just imagine how genius that is; those kids predicted the future!
I love that song. Was featured during Alumni Homecoming this afternoon. That's memorable event after one year hiatus amidst pandemic.Congratulations Batch HCHS Batch 1996 for their success!
0:35 Fast Times at Ridgemont High reference.
i remember trying to relate to this in 3rd grade
Same haha. And now I‘ve finally graduated high school sooo.... 😅
@NanaGram This song came out when I was in third grade.
Lol
😂
Same but tbh I was never that much of a loser in high school lmao. I think most people fall in the middle.. not insanely popular but also not super weird and odd.
It's been 18 years since I graduated. This song still holds true.
Sounds like the theme song to some Disney adult show.
ikr
They did do the theme song for Phineas and Ferb theme song
yes they did
and he the voice of chuck e cheese
Well they did do the themesong of Phineas and Ferb and Jimmy Neutron
One of Bowling For Soup's biggest hits, the others being "The girl all the bad guys want, (2000)," "1985 (2003)," and "Alexa Bliss (2020.)"
Girl all the bad guys want is from 2002, and 1985 is from 2004
Dude, you gotta leave me some hope here.
Yeah, why go hog wild with your freedom when you can plan for your future and move on in life no matter what it takes.
There is no hope
Find what you want in life and go for it. If you don't buy into the rat race and "keeping up with the Joneses" then you'll be much happier. But yes, the d!ks in high school still grow up to be sh!tty adults.
@@ButterclawEnthusiastFr just being honest 😅😂
I was so happy when I saw this in an ad for Schooled! I love this song!
Gonna join the “I’m in my mid 20s and this song hits different now” crew. Damn.
I started listening to this while suffering through high school and I am 29 now and holy shit it still hits as hard as ever.
Me: *listens to song from high school*
Song: high school never ends
Me: lol not true tho i'm a whole different being
Song: and u still listen to the same shit u did back then
Me: oh no
lol
With every year this song just keeps getting better and better!
"Man, you guys suck."
These fellas are immortalized in one of the catchiest theme songs ever written, what have you done with your life, fictional football player?
Took the worlds right out of my mouth!
He got crabs, that's what.
I Agree
probably the football player would be in prison
Where he chucks and catches his plectrum just in time to hit the riff. cool AF
I know, people really suck. I wish that people would just act their own age and realize how they are acting.
That is the illusion. Most people never really live up to the mature adult mytho. Most adults are nothing more than grown kids. They are petty, vindictive, egotistical, and selfish people.
What a great society we live in, huh?
Indeed. Good luck with your high school stuff. Take bunch of maths and science (AP), and when you get into college don't major in something worthless like me. Do something with STEM.
Graduated high school in 2015. Really feeling this five years on.
If Phineas and Ferb does continue, Bowling For Soup should do a spoof called Summer Never Ends.
That is so goddamn brilliant, you deserve a thousand likes not 66.
Summer never ends woah oh oh oh oh oh
Didn't Phineas and Ferb end already, which im pretty sure it did. It would be nice to see it air on Disney XD again.
@@0GlassOfAcid0 Quite charitable of you.
@@flammulatedowl47 Disney is entertaining the idea of making new episodes of the show for Disney+
here's hoping.
im 20yrs old and still playing this song, feeling im on my childhood days
The coolest band I have ever gotten to see live. They put on a fantastic concert!
♫And Katie had a baby so I guess Tom's straight♫ Best line in the song. ♥♥
i read this as i hit that line in the song
BaconWrappedCupcake I read this as he said that
BaconWrappedCupcake but was it tom? He might not be straight
BaconWrappedCupcake At my school this girl called Katie just broke up with Tom 😶
Yeah bacon wrapped cupcake
This song is the first thing I realized when I skipped college and joined the workforce. Oh lord, even ladies in their freakin' 30's act like High Schoolers. High School doesn't end. They just pay you to engage with it when you're an adult.
It's incredible. I'm fucking tired of this shit. Worst part is my friend from high school who were not like this are now like this.
I really feel like every day there's less people to have a fruitful conversation with.
I am seriously playing this song during graduation
Charisonic558 I know it's technically warning them but won't it make everyone depressed?
JEMonnier At least then they can start to stop giving a shit about stuff that doesn't matter
I would too
Gonna crank it as I pull away, and just roast 'em on the way out cause it ain't like they can kick me out lol
Charisonic558 I'm playing School's out for Summer by Alice Cooper
Wish this band was still around, best music ever
I wish this kind of music still exist
God damn, I should REALLY be studying for finals right now...
+Poyo279 SAME
+Poyo279 ahah im same xb glad there are people like me over the world
+Poyo279 Highschool never ends so what's the point?
+Poyo279 if its HS finals they don't matter.
If it's college finals and you think you can pass, they also don't matter.
End Of Course..... im fucked algebra 1. hahaha. reminiscing of when i was little and didnt worry about that shit at all.
What I really love about BFS and their music videos is that they're always so funny to watch
2:53
They should do this at their IRL concerts.
