I mean, Ted Bundy was a “nice guy.” Chris Watts was a “nice guy.” Scott Peterson was a “nice guy.” I know these cases are different but my point is, you can’t rule someone out because they’re, “nice.” That’s one of the most ignorant things I’ve ever heard!

"Very nice guy" is code for: He has powerful connections within law enforcement or the judicial system and possibly has something to hide in his history that is similar to this case. The police only go out of their way to protect their own and they've gone over and beyond out of their way to protect this man. Their negligence is blatantly criminal and needs to be assessed as such. This is also discrimination and there is no attempt to hide that they were tampering with and withholding vital evidence needed to proceed with a thorough investigation. I hope the family is successful with their lawsuit but I would've personally went for more money just for the simple fact that they are intentionally negligent.

I've just emailed the Bridgeport police, respectfully urging them to apply more resources to properly investigate the circumstances of both women's deaths, for the sake of the families and also the community and wider society. We just CAN'T let any unusual, suspicious death go uninvestigated, doesn't matter who it was or their level of wealth or power or their race or gender or whatever, every one is important that it's properly investigated. Otherwise it undermines the value that society puts on one person's life. It would be so dangerous to allow that to be undermined.

My husband is a homicide detective and literally last night was able to find the wife of a deceased man in Egypt and put in an international phone call to her to notify her of her husband’s death. There’s absolutely no way that they couldn’t find next of kin to notify, in fact it’s required to do so or at least make every possible attempt. Also, going to the scenes of these deaths, the detectives should have had forensics come out to take evidence and a mandatory autopsy would have been ordered through the medical examiner’s office because these deaths were of unknown origin when the bodies were found. Basically, at least in my husband’s department, you investigate every death fully and take all evidence found at the scene and question everyone you can possibly think of until you have confirmation of what happened and can rule it accidental, or medical, or a suicide or whatever it may be. This is absolutely abhorrent of this police department and these detectives should absolutely be fired and a full investigation into the department itself should be done. I'm only sixteen minutes in, but Lauren's case is already very odd to me. Her family wasn't notified of her death until over a day after it happened, the policeman on the case literally told her loved ones, who were in shock and desperate for answers, to stop calling him. Then this random guy she's just met for a very casual date carries her to bed and sleeps in there with her?! I get that some people don't have strong boundaries, but honestly, if my date falls asleep on the couch of their apartment, I'd have just got up and gone home instead of sleeping in a stranger's bed. Then there's a used condom in her room, but he claims they didn't have sex? Not investigating the last person to be with her prior to her death because he was a "nice guy" is just horrible. Anybody can be "nice" when they have to save themselves from suspicion. The plate of food on the living room floor strikes me as weird, too.

Aesha Muhammed was a 23-year old loving, doting young mother. Aesha came from a close-knit family, with who she was in continuous contact.
She was working at a salon and attending Venus Beauty Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her 2-year old son, Amaru, was the love of her life.
Aesha lived in a boarding house run by her father's half-brother, then 57-year old Charles Dockins. Aesha and Charles didn't get along and often argued.
On November 30, 2000, Aesha packed her things to move out and called her brother, Soloman. Aesha said she wanted someone to pick them up because she had been arguing with Charles.
Both her and her 2 year old son went missing. Her son was found several weeks later at a church in Orange, NJ, but Aesha has never been found.

I don't think their frustrated with Kendall. I think their frustrated with poc not getting enough media coverage. Especially with mainstream media when Gabby Petito was missing everyone was covering it. It's all mainstream media and online media where covering. People are frustrated because EVERYONE no matter what they look like deserves the same energy. All cases should be taken seriously. All cases deserve fair coverage.

As a former addict, you don't get up in the middle of the night to do copious amounts of several drugs, to turn around and go to sleep. Nor do you take that amount in the middle of the night for any other reason. Some of the drugs found in her system aren't mainstream drugs. This whole case was botched and my heart goes out to her family.

    • @bigbadwoods4738

Exactly. I never did opioids but I had friends addicted to them and they wouldn’t even drink when they took them because they didn’t want to mess up their “high” or fall asleep. Smdh.

Hello I would like to add to your comment that one of the drugs which is hydroxyzine which is a anti-itching medication and a anxiety and insomnia training medication was found in her system and you are absolutely right that is not main stream you have to get that from a doctor you have to have a whole prescription for that shit. It’s absolutely bullshit that she died the way she did!!!

    • @bigbadwoods4738

@Porter93 overdose on antihistamines and fentanyl. If she took something laced on her own then she would’ve had other illegal substances in her system. Nobody snorts fentanyl unless it’s laced in another drg. You DO realize a minuscule amount even touching your skin can cause convulsions and death right? Or do you just make uneducated opinions all the time about things that don’t concern you?

It's not just the Bridgeport police department that has an issue with how they handle things it's every impoverished city in CT. You should see how they handled my sister's death. I'm from CT and they barely covered this case and tried to write it off as a drug overdose. Get it together CT!!!

It angers me how the police handled the deaths. My biological father passed away in California & I’ve never met him in my life. I live in Colorado with my married name & Jefferson County police department found me to tell me he had passed. The officer even consoled me at my front door while I cried. I was in another state. DO BETTER BRIDGEPORT.

Lauren’s death & the behavior of everyone surrounding is so bizarre! The landlord must have had a reference & emergency contact on a rental application. Why leave a note on the door when you could just, I dunno, make a phone call? Both situations need an independent 3rd party to look into them.
