While redeeming Durge is one of my favourite storylines, sometimes it’s just a little fun to slip into old habits when someone particularly arrogant, vile or aggravating touches the wrong nerve. That said, Stupid Evil/Murderhobo isn’t usually something I find fun.
You can be evil durge without being stupid tho - you kill strategic people in strategic points, and control yourself when it's against your best interest. Easy. Even certain stupid stuff like taking Gale's hand can be excused with "you're amnesiac so you didn't know your fantasies very quickly become reality if you let them".
redeeming durge is just a little too cliche for me. It's a trope done all the time now. So often in media that just a true evil murderhobo is far rarer and imo more interesting.

That's why it's not cliché at all - the game acknowledges it could go either way, depending on the player. Imo the best way to play this game is not to treat it like a story you're watching, but try to actually get into the mind of the character you are playing, and BE them for a bit. When you do that, nothing is cliché really, it's all just choices you make.
well if you go murderhobo then you are not different than Orin. Dark Urge is more political and efficient with his mission while Orin like to toying and playing around. thats why Gortash like you more than Orin
I really wish your Companions had something to say about what Kressa did to you. Like this lady opened up your organs over and over and kept you as a lashing thrall and no one says anything?
I'm appalled at the squad you have left over once all the durge (evil) choices have been made. Gale doesn't exist anymore, Karlach is just a head, Halsin died a prison bitch, Wyll straight up ghosted you, and Minthara...oh my beloved Minthara. She would've been the only exception to let live, but Royalty is the one calling the shots.
People like to do mental gymnastics to make Act 2 longer. Instead of just saying it's short lol. It's real hard for people to critique this game. I got bored of it on the second playthrough.
Bit late, but créche is Act 2. It clearly tells you to finish business in the previous area pre entering the mountain pass, just like venturing from underdark/grymforge to shadow cursed lands and most unfinished quests in act 1 fail upon leaving. As you can still travel back and forth between mountain pass and shadow cursed lands (until reaching the shadow fell) without impact on quests on one side or the other, it's considered the same act.
@@cn_nightingale creche and underdark are both act 1. The prompt you're talking about when you enter the mountain pass tells you you're underleveled. You dont get the other prompt till you move to the shadowfell either through the mountain pass or the underdark
@@fenixchief7 underdark/grymforge is 1, creche isnt. Don't quest in the first areas, enter mountain pass and see for yourself, tieflings dead, hag got the child, no doggo/bear for camp and so on. Entering the mountain pass considers nearly everything previous either failed or completed, i had to reload about six hours of gameplay after i went back to the suddenly empty grove. Edit: also you don't get another warning when you enter shadowlands through mountains or forge.
@@cn_nightingale I don't know about that. Going into Shadowlands forces a camp scenario first. Unlike Creche. Going into Act 3 also forces a camp scenario as the story line progresses. You can do plenty of things in Act 3 where quests will fail even though you're not moving to another Act so don't think that's enough to consider it. The forced camp, to me, serves as the marker into the next Act. You can also completely skip Creche going into the Shadowlands which, again, makes me feel it's not Act 2.
Me who got pick pocket and then followed the teflings in to his lair only for him to tell on me with the gaurds I decided to spawn in the spectator and raid the grove
Okay, I missed most things again. I got through so well and quickly that I was able to get straight to the temple and free Ayln. I actually wanted to kill her with the spear but Shadowheart was in the camp and I couldn't go back. So I had to free her because the spear didn't work. I didn't even take a long rest in act 2. Terrible and that on tacticians

a lot, he gives you a pair of gloves that summon a raven named quothe, he can attack twice per turn which is really nice
Good news is that the scene shown with He Who Was isn't exclusive to Dark Urge. You can make him stab himself with a Custom too.

So how come the Dragonborn's head changes shape right after transforming into the Slayer for the first time?

Yeah I noticed that too, it changed his look to another dragonborn preset. Recorded it close to launch so its probably patched by now
