If you are your own best friend you are NEVER alone. I've been alone 40 years.....my husband died decades ago and I've traveled around the world ALONE....it was great. I went where I wanted, ate where and what I wanted, I read the books I select, and don't ask anyone if they approve of my outfit or hairstyle. It's called lovely freedom......lovely!
One is only lonely is he/she are not comfortable in their own life.

@@MyMclaurenI don’t regard the majority of people as ‘normal’. As Krishnamurti said ‘ it is no measure of sanity to be well adjusted to a sick society’.
@@MyMclauren actually we are the ones with NO behavior problems, we are secure within our own skin and are our own best friend.....everyone else struggles to say the right words to the right person, struggling NOT to say the wrong words. HAHAHA........ solitude is when YOU find out where you're strong and where you're weak. If you're lucky you have ONE trustworthy friend, and that is enough. NO ONE has many, many trustworthy "friends." Trust has to be earned.....it's not something you give away lightly.
Solitude is perfect to get to know yourself.

Very rarely I saw I was loved the same way, I gave more and most of them understood when I got hurt and went away, they came back but I can’t love them the same way, but I forgave, the thing is i don’t feel the same anymore. It happened with my sisters as well, it is ugly but that is life, looks like all this situations woke me up to love myself more and be confident and know my value. I gave all my energy and felt drained, I thought I should please anyone and I should sacrifice myself. Looks like that chapter is over. I am 40 now and I understand a lot of things, started to say stop to others, and love myself more ❤
