I am working on not being bitter as it's not good for me inside, but any friend I've ever had has either has somehow a burden or I've experienced betrayal. Not at first, all's well...but over time things get really muddy. I hope it's because it's because all people are not perfect so somehow they will cause disruption and disappointment over time. I've learned not to have expectations.
I tried romantic relationship at the age of 18. It didn't work out. And something beautiful happened. I fell in love with myself and universe. Since then I am living alone. And now at the age of 43 I m still living alone but not lonely. I absolutely love my peaceful life. Specially when i cook for myself, travel alone, read books, watch movies i like, and some very few good friends that I value ans socialise sometimes. Living alone is blissful experience. We come alone and we go alone.

I spend a lot of time in solitude, enjoying the peace and tranquility it brings. I can only take interaction with others in measured doses. Friendships can be draining. I like to feel a sense of nature and the universe. Every quiet moment can be reimagined and romanticized, even a mundane visit to a supermarket can become a gratifying experience, when in a calm and grateful state.
Yes the friendship can be draining In 2023 I was alone not in bad way , I was doing the things that I wanted to do without even a judgment things were going good in my way But in 2024 I found my friends again i feel drained from that time and feeling right now also idk really why but maybe what they think about me if I do this or that !
At 64 years of age this is the first time in my entire life I’ve lived alone. I have appreciated this special time so much! I am not and have not been in a romantic relationship for 6 months which is something I haven’t done since high school 😬 I needed to find myself after a long relationship ended. Thankfully I am enjoying discovering more about myself and knowing I can in my own sometimes feeble ways still get through life one day at a time. I know my future is bright dispite how hard I can be on myself sometimes.

AFTER THE DEATH OF DEAR PERSONS, PEOPLE OFTEN CHOOSE TO BE ALONE,NOT BECAUSE THEY WOULD GRIEVE, BUT TO REALIZE THAT THEY ARE SUFFICIENT TO THEMSELVES TO FEEL COMPLETE. THIS IS EXTREMELY VALUABLE BECAUSE WE LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH FEAR, WITH UNCERTAINTY AND THROUGH DIFFERENT SITUATIONS WE PERCEIVE OUR PURPOSE AND CONNECTION WITH THE ENTIRE COSMOS THROUGH THE INVISIBLE THREAD OF LIFE FORCE. I THINK THAT EVERYONE WOULD WELCOME SOMETIMES DISTANCE AND SOLIDITY IN ORDER TO RESTORE THE ENERGY BALANCE. 🌬️🌀🌌🙏

I think it's so difficult when people say rely on friends and family. Doesn't work in a world full of selfish uncaring people and family who are so toxic and filled with hatred. You eventually don't have any option but to be alone. And trust and rely upon God and yourself. Even giving to people helping people doesn't guarantee they will help you when you need help. People are assholes. Selfish to the core even the spiritual ones
Thank you for being so REAL about this. Seeking authentic friends and community has been a disappointing exercise for me, making me feel even more lonely. Working on being at peace with how things are, being the best person I can be in the world and turning inward to learn more about myself and keeping my connection to God active. There are good people out there but I only experience it in brief moments.
I've been a loner since I was very young, even though I was raised in a large family. I'm 62. People who try to influence change in my behavior are uncomfortable with the concept that I'm happy this way. I beat myself up for YEARS and tried the social circle thing, which to me, left me feeling very empty, without content or value in relationships. Ironically, not one of those people have reached out to me in years.

Ive lived alone much of life. Its more authenticate personally. But i learn also by interactions that help each other. There is a learning about self and how we are more alike intrinsically than extrinsically. What makes us all human and needed also by each other, over our living environments, countries,ethnicities,languages, etc..
In the past fifteen (15) years I have lived in utter and complete, solitude. During this time, I have experienced the opening of my mind, body and spirit - As well, I have understood lonliness. Also, I have created many works of art, spent times of rest and restlessness. Gone through phases of anger, guilt, happiness, love, contentment and even contemplated, why? Make no mistakke, being alone, is naught for the weak!
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

I’ve been blessed with being alone throughout my entire life , now burning through my 70 th year arriving at that completed will be in 5 months. Sure I was married 38 years and let go of it and my expectations by listening too much to others. , so being alone is an easier life. House painting was a job I did for nearly 40 years mostly alone, being an artist is a lonesome life , which is wonderful. Forces the quality in one’s art to finding its authentic spiritual vision, even if no one but you sees it. God sees it and gives you inspiration you can’t have by being with others. Disruption can be a block stifling your restive soulful expression, and until you’re alone will you find the solution. People might be necessary sometimes, but only when it’s time for social interaction. Living by yourself is the blessing of God while he gives time to grow spiritually. Most necessarily the fuel to create your relationship with the lord. That’s the what it’s all about.
Interesting subject. I am living alone for about 15 years. I made that choice. Though I enjoy my peaceful days- Most of the time, - I regret at times. For example, when I get sick and have no energy to do my house work. Also, I regret living alone when my thoughts are wandering around death and dying process. I feel bad for myself when I think of dying alone. I love to have someone to say goodbye when I am taking my last breath. I may be a black sheep here. Am I wrong to think this way?
It’s difficult finding friends at 52 who are young at heart and active for me. I want to go to the rapids water park and be active constantly but it’s tough finding friends like this that like to be active and be active in nature 😊

I think it's so difficult when people say rely on friends and family.
Doesn't work in a world full of selfish uncaring people and family who are so toxic and filled with hatred.
You eventually don't have any option but to be alone.
And trust and rely upon God and yourself.
Even giving to people helping people doesn't guarantee they will help you when you need help.
People are assholes.

Thank you for being so REAL about this. Seeking authentic friends and community has been a disappointing exercise for me, making me feel even more lonely. Working on being at peace with how things are, being the best person I can be in the world and turning inward to learn more about myself and keeping my connection to God active. There are good people out there but I only experience it in brief moments.

I've been a loner since I was very young, even though I was raised in a large family. I'm 62. People who try to influence change in my behavior are uncomfortable with the concept that I'm happy this way. I beat myself up for YEARS and tried the social circle thing, which to me, left me feeling very empty, without content or value in relationships. Ironically, not one of those people have reached out to me in years.
Your words at [11:22] about letting go of suffering were exactly what I needed to hear.

Ive lived alone much of life. Its more authenticate personally. But i learn also by interactions that help each other. There is a learning about self and how we are more alike intrinsically than extrinsically. What makes us all human and needed also by each other, over our living environments, countries,ethnicities,languages, etc..

In the past fifteen (15) years I have lived in utter and complete, solitude. During this time, I have experienced the opening of my mind, body and spirit - As well, I have understood lonliness. Also, I have created many works of art, spent times of rest and restlessness. Gone through phases of anger, guilt, happiness, love, contentment and even contemplated, why? Make no mistakke, being alone, is naught for the weak!

I have God and not alone
I’ve been blessed with being alone throughout my entire life , now burning through my 70 th year arriving at that completed will be in 5 months. Sure I was married 38 years and let go of it and my expectations by listening too much to others. , so being alone is an easier life. House painting was a job I did for nearly 40 years mostly alone, being an artist is a lonesome life , which is wonderful. Forces the quality in one’s art to finding its authentic spiritual vision, even if no one but you sees it. God sees it and gives you inspiration you can’t have by being with others. Disruption can be a block stifling your restive soulful expression, and until you’re alone will you find the solution. People might be necessary sometimes, but only when it’s time for social interaction. Living by yourself is the blessing of God while he gives time to grow spiritually. Most necessarily the fuel to create your relationship with the lord. That’s the what it’s all about.

Interesting subject. I am living alone for about 15 years. I made that choice. Though I enjoy my peaceful days- Most of the time, - I regret at times. For example, when I get sick and have no energy to do my house work. Also, I regret living alone when my thoughts are wandering around death and dying process. I feel bad for myself when I think of dying alone. I love to have someone to say goodbye when I am taking my last breath. I may be a black sheep here.

It’s difficult finding friends at 52 who are young at heart and active for me. I want to go to the rapids water park and be active constantly but it’s tough finding friends like this that like to be active and be active in nature 😊

I live with 3 roommates and we all have very separate and different ways of living...I have always been much of happier alone but never do I feel lonely ....I am much too nice and kinda a pushover.... knowing this about myself helps me to make it even easier for me to enjoy my alone existence
