He ain't the next Khabib. He's the first, one and only Khamzat Chimaev. He's only going to given more top quality opponents in the future. He's is going to beat them. He is going to create his own legacy. What is certain about Khamzat Chimaev right now, is the dude is a legitimate badass.
Khabib beat better fighters in his first 4 UFC fights. Despite that he didn't get nearly as much hype as Khamzat. I truly believe Khamzat's hype train will get derailed eventually.
Khabib with better boxing and longer arms which can enable him to better use his grappling. Khabib is probably a better pure wrestler, but Khamzat’s size against welterweights seems like it might be unstoppable. Chimaev might be the test that will tell us is Usman just great (no shame in that) or historically legendary.
The difference is khanmzat does not fear and that makes him very dangerous fighter in UFC. He has some crazy confidence and very quick as well. If those stand and fight champions didn't change their gameplay, it is going to be very tough to beat khamzat
The diversity UFC offers is, for me, a major part of what makes it so awesome. You see bad asses from all over the world come to kick ten bells out of each other EVERY WEEK. Boxing used to be #1 for me but over the past 5 years UFC has won me over big time.
Bryan, this wasn’t supposed to be a Blachowicz domination. It was a perfect matchup. Blachowicz didn’t overlook Glover. Glover took Jan down and wore on him. Jan has a 205+ pound, submission specialist on top of him. Glover made him tired fast and then rocked him in the standup. Now Glover has a tired, not fully there Blachowicz in front of him so he easily took him down and submitted him. Jan didn’t quit, he was outclassed. Glover is hitting his prime in his 40’s, and is dominating every opponent he faces as of recently. He’s anything but over the hill.
Khazmat is more aggressive and has better standup, Khabib has better cardio and higher fight IQ. The biggest difference so far is Khazmat is actually fun to watch.
The crazy thing about chimaev is that he’s finishing these guys QUICK, I can see the khabib comparisons but khabib never started off in the ufc like him, first round finishes while absorbing no strikes!
Khabib victories are more impressive, he was able to dominate his opponents for all 3 or 5 rounds, showing everything he can do and what he is capable of. Yes, Chimaev is maybe more entertaining but undefeated record with all finishes in first or second round is not a real sign of someone's quality. We still have to see him in fights for 3 rounds, 5 rounds, how he reacts when he faces a problem, when things are not going at his favor at first, that's how you know how really good someone is.
Texiera is at 6 win fight streak. Did you see how he pacified that insane striker Santos? He doesn't give up, perfectly calm even in the highest sea storm. Guy did not end up being UFC champion "accidentally". No way Hose.

We knew jan would be Defeated eventually I think. With that said I do like the personality of Jan as a champion. Super humble, knows he got that power punch you know. But, I think when glover was cranking on his neck, maybe it was a shot he took or some of the ground game, Jan showed that his neck or jaw was compromised. Like besping said Jan did not like him cranking upward. When glove was on top. Anyway, I think what ever was going on is why Jan tapped so fast. Maybe I’m crazy lol

Ufc is an mma promotion. Mma means mixed martial arts which includes ground game . English is not my first language but I understand better than you what mma means . English is your first language.
@@osmannaeemrana exactly mate MIXED. It’s becoming wrestling dominated. Karate, taekwondo, boxing even BJJ are all being dominated by boring to watch wrestling.
@@masonleach boring to you because your favorite fighters like mctapper or Dan or other guys get dominated by those ground specialists. But it's entertaining to alot of people including me. I was super entertained how Islam makhachev was about to snap dan' s arm just within 2 minutes of the first round. That's pure skill. Same with khamzat, he finished his guy in 3 minutes. I appreciate the skills they produce. It was super entertaining what khamzat and Islam makhachev did.
we got Ankalaev and Jiri in LHW, monsters
“You not send me location, I send location to you and you fight me at the kingdom brother”
Can’t wait for Chimaev to fight a Top 5 and really get a gauge where he really is!!
only russian and slavic nations know, that khabib was leading islam to submission,at the end he was yelling on islam "put your leg on hes head" and that move just made that submission match ending
super exciting guy. I think only Kamaru and Colby can compete against him
Texiera is tough as nails, had a plan, and determined as a bear in a honey hive!
I think jan tapped right away because he had a terrible night and he KNEW it. He felt glovers pressure on the ground and jan knew he couldnt escape.
The diversity UFC offers is, for me, a major part of what makes it so awesome. You see bad asses from all over the world come to kick ten bells out of each other EVERY WEEK. Boxing used to be #1 for me but over the past 5 years UFC has won me over big time.
Love these videos! It’s such a nightmare keeping up with the ufc these videos are amazing,
Khamzat is going to be triple champ… the potential this guy holds is immense
Hey Geordie. Keep up the fight content for each ufc numbered event they are always banging😊
Absolutely true about what you did about mma, the diversity, the different cultures. So entertaining right now
except in 2 years when those god dam Daghestani killers hold all the belts 😳
Jiri and Rakic are both absolute killers at LHW. I think LHW is actually more interesting today than it was 3 4 years ago 😅
New to your channel. Great commentary, informative and entertaining.👍🏾
HAMZAT WENT TO DANA AND SAID " DID YOU ORDER CHINESE" 😂😂😂
Jan tapped quickly, but I think once Glover had his legs fully flattened and everything locked in he knew he was done for.
You forget in the light heavyweight about Jiři Prochazka mate. Anyway HOWAY THE LADS!! HOWAY THE SAUDI'S! 🇲🇴
Khazmat is more aggressive and has better standup, Khabib has better cardio and higher fight IQ. The biggest difference so far is Khazmat is actually fun to watch.
Khamzat has pretty high IQ and generally knows the Sport very well
@@grevengriff8609 100% agree, but between Khabibs experience, his father, his team at AKA with Javier Mendez, he has the edge.
The crazy thing about chimaev is that he’s finishing these guys QUICK, I can see the khabib comparisons but khabib never started off in the ufc like him, first round finishes while absorbing no strikes!
tbf to khabib he came into the ufc much younger but yeah dude doesnt even entertain decisions lol
Khamzat will have 1 more fight before he fights the winner of Colby vs Usman and i cant wait
Leon edwards is crying in the corner rn
I grew up with many close Russian friends. What always stood out to me and what I truly admired was the mentality they all seemed to possess. Kind and strong, mentally and physically. Even the words that I’m using don’t quite seem to capture every special and unique qualities Russian people have.
*Chimaev is not the next Khabib.*
*Khamzat has his own identity.*
*Hopefully he reach his full potential reminiscing the Dagestan Legend.*
_Carry on._
Allow me to read back to you what your pretentious ass just said.
1) Chimaev is not Khabib, he has his own identity.
2) Hopefully, Chimaev can be just like Khabib.
Yeah. Okay.
Chimaev is chechen
youtube suggested this video after Khamza vs Holand
I’m watching this guy and realising that his previous fights have been in similar form and he’s scaring me. Looking forward to his career I must admit.
Respect to Leechy and Hangman for not tapping
Great fight video as usual, cheers Brian. More ufc content would be amazing!
Brilliant analysis as usual from the big man
We knew jan would be Defeated eventually I think.
He's not the new Khabib. He's the new Khamzat!
Comparing him to Khabib is so lazy and casual lol
Khamzat looks like the real deal I want to see him fight top 5.
I love this breakdown, dont really watch football but love these breakdowns
Khabib defiantly has a bigger legacy then McGregor, he put Russian muslims on the map AND then gave a parting gift to the UFC in Khazmat and Islam. No hate Conor elevated UFC but became a meme and 3 solid years Khabib dominated the devision
Khabib didn’t gift Khamzat…they aren’t in the same camp
Khamzat is his own man
@@Alex-zh5fm nature or nurture debate. Them = BOTH 🙏
He trains with and coach’s Islam but not khazmat
Is other teammate/pupil is his cousin. His guys are 5-0 in ufc this year
@@mehdifaiez3188 i get that i mean in terms of breaking barriers for Russian muslim fighters. He has made Dana take the risk of choosing 3 without Khabib lets be honest Dana wouldn't of given it to them
True geordie! Teixeira didnt choke Jan when he tapped. He gave him a jaw crank similar to what Khabib did to Conor. Many thanks 😎
"Khabib is khabib. Im khamzat chimaev"
Finally he gets the recognition he deserves. He out cold someone with one punch. Literally one punch man!!!
Brian's pronunciation of names is on par with footy commentators
Glovers win wasn’t because Jan was off, he’s just a tough 42 year old that drags you into deep waters if you don’t get rid of him within the first 1 or 2 at most. If he gets on top and flattens anyone in the LHW division out, most aren’t getting up.
Jiri prochazka can bring star potential back to light heavyweight division
Khabib's influence in the caucuses is truly incredible. Guys like Khamzat out here stealing his entire gimmick and then he has all his father's students from Dagestan. His two cousins are definitely future contenders and Makhachev will be a champion, he will replicate Khabib's gameplan to a T if he faces Dustin for the title.
The caucuses region is full savage grapplers not mention fact these guys grow up in warezone khamzat was born on same year when first chechen. russian started
There have been skilled fighters in the caucasus way before khabib was even born, If you went there and met the older people, you would say khabib stole their gimmick. Its the culturee.
do you hear about Buvaysar Saytiev chechenian from Dagestan?wrestling 3 olimpic champion. His much bigger name, than Khabibs father
@@timurdudaev7316 I'm talking MMA, not wrestling lmao.
@@nokhchi1079 oh give it a rest. Khamzat is great but you're deaf if you can't hear him rip off Khabib's interviews word for word, especially the Barboza one. He literally got his name among MMA fans for sounding like a WW Khabib
Khamzat has that aura about him he's gonna be feared by every fighter that gets in there with him I can only seeing a handful of fighters signing to fight him in his weight class I can only seeing till Jorge magny diaz and maybe Leon wanting to fight him Marty even tho he the goat will only fight him he has no choice the way he describes about eating and killing his opponents and when he pulled that flick knife out on till on the IG live gave me serial killer vibes from him
His name Kamaru ...show some respect to the champ!
@@hansdampf8252 do some research he has no problem with being called Marty that was his name growing up not like I'm dissing him foool
I still think it is disrespectful. How would you feel if everybody calls you a different name ...
@@hansdampf8252 they do 😂😂😂 😂 I've got a nickname everyone has one you probably don't as you ain't got no friends Marty is a nickname he's had his whole life his wrestling coach gave it to him when he was a kid 😂
People say: "yeah, but who did he beat, though?"
Man, it's not about who he beat, but the way he beat those guys. He played with them.
“Usman better than gsp” 😂🤦♂️
An opinion and a valid one both can have arguments made For and against
@The Medical Enthusiast haha casual, man beats masvidal, one of the most overrated fighters then become p4p one,👍 sure
He's only the next khabib because he looks like him
He’s talking about Hasbulla right ?
The look in his eyes when he says Fedor Babies was so sweet 🥺
i agree about the light heavyweight division being slightly less interesting right now compared to the others. but Jiri Prochazka is next in line for the light-heavyweight title. and that dude is goin to take it from Glover without question.. ideally i hoped that Jones was still champ so we could see him get knocked off his pedestal by Prochazka.. just look at how much Jones struggled against Dominic reyes and then Reyes Vs Prochazka.. Reyes got steamrolled and KO'ed by Jiri. Jones wouldn't have lasted 5 rounds against him.
Jiri is highly overrated so is that like heavyweight division it is so bad it's ridiculous it's not even funny how about the division is a 42 year old man is champ now that's embarrassing and should be an embarrassment for the UFC jiri has no ground game whatsoever if clover which are still high doubtable gets into the ground without finished separate and your bullshit comment at the end it's just hystericalyou're literally doing MMA maths which is bullshit that never worked I never will
Ankalaev will take the belt from jiri
The commentary team were assuming that Blachowicz must have had a jaw injury going into the fight, because he was really struggling just by Teixeira pressing down on his head with his shoulders in full guard.
Khazmat looks scarily good. Would love to see him vs Burns then if he beats him he surely deserves winner of Colby Usman. Don’t think he is there level yet but could be wrong!
What do you mean this guy finished his fights without getting touched!!!! He's doing better than Khabib in his first four fights
@@benedictinethetruth Khabib fought wayyy better fighters in his first 4 fights than Khamzat.
@@muhammedaliaydin8977 lol just because he made it look easy doesn't mean they weren't good fighters... Khabib had a harder time with real bums. I think he should fight burns next and then the looser of Usman and Colby if he wins he can get a title shot
@@benedictinethetruth The First 2 opponent's that Khamzat fought are no longer in the UFC.
And Li Jingliang has been outgrappled by a lot of people.
Khabib fought an olympic level wrestler in his first fight.
@@muhammedaliaydin8977 let's just say..khamzat has never been tested by any of his opponents in the UFC and we don't know what will happen when he gets tested..because he won't do to Usman or Colby what he has done to his previous opponents but dude is really special and if theres someone who can beat Colby and Usman at 170 its him
The international breath of MMA is truly one of my favourite things of this sport.
I’m so excited for Colby vs kamaru. I think usman will win again.
Do these for every POV please. Loving these reaction/recaps.
Jiri is gonna get the LHW belt and hold it for for a good while.
Great review but a bit harsh on how fast jan tapped. He was flattened out face down with hoover in full back mount and then he takes his neck. Can’t get out of that position no point going unconscious
He's the best in the UFC been saying it since his debut
This has been the best post 267 analysis.. funny too 👍..
