The thing is he was still improving. His fights were getting shorter and more dominant. His domination of gaethje was amazing
he looked like he was still improving fight after fight when he left us, he might have peaked at age 33-35 or sth., we'll never know. With his dedicated and healthy lifestyle, no party, no intoxication, and also not taking significant damage cause of domination, never bleeding, not getting hit a lot etc. it's very possible.
