It's gone now forever!" 250 years later, Nicola's shadow falls upon it as she says, "Oh look! Do you see what I'm looking at?" and 70,000 people witness its reappearance in the light of day.
Well that thought will comfort me, as I think back about my lovely Skydancer-umbrella that I lost in the harbour at age 6. In 250 years, they will find it back for me :)

I noticed as the cormorant was trying to swallow the fish that the dorsal fins were erect causing it to be to large for the mouth of the bird. Great video. Thank you Nicola. From Bremerton, WA USA.

The cormorant trying, and failing, to swallow a flatfish was funny. I remember the petrol cans that had those brass lids (Pratts). They usually rusted away in sheds, just leaving the brass lid and a pile of rust.
It is wonderful to see how a river recovers after centuries of "lack of understanding" and how nature can find its way back. Of course, people's awareness has certainly changed over the past few decades, but this river was already biologically dead in the 1970s. Of course, the efforts of the official bodies can also be clearly seen. But you Mudlarkers also contribute, if only a small part, to the fact that the river and its banks become clean again. That the whole thing should also be fun is a thing that I especially like to see. I eagerly await every new video. Greetings from old Vienna!

Another superb video Nicola. The Cormorant versus Dab; The Dab was never going to be swallowed, as it was far too wide for the poor bird, who was always going to be denied its meal. Classic comedy ensued when the Gull tried to steal the fish, which then made its escape. I love your videos on Sunday nights. They briefly take my mind off the soon approaching Monday morning grind. I remember Esso here in the US. It became Exxon then ExxonMobile over here. I’m not old enough to remember Pratts. “Doing lines” means something altogether different here in the US. Hello Nicola, The coral stone was quite interesting. I live in Michigan and these coral stones are found in abundance on the shores of Lake Michigan especially in the areas around the cities of Petoskey and Charlevoix. In fact we call them Petoskey Stones and they have been named our state stone. They are especially beautiful when highly polished.
Hi Nicola, normally I do not look at how many subscribers people have. Tonight I saw out of the corner of my eye, a long string of numbers. Upon reading it properly, I couldn’t believe how many people finally found you! Congratulations 🎉 on the number of people who have impeccable taste! What I was initially going to comment on was the beautiful piece of Coral you found. The State of Michigan across the pond. Is actually made of two peninsulas upper and lower. Lower is often called the mitten. It is the only state where you can show someone approximately where you live with your hand. It is also surrounded by three of the five Great Lakes. There is a great deal of coral to be found there. They are called petoskey stone and are the State official stone. Check them out on google. They come in all different stages of coral growth as well. Thank you for all of the time, energy, and research you put into every video! Hopefully your car was a easy fix. Thanks again for all of your videos!

What a good mud Loving day and a great pipe! As always, the wildlife footages grands as usually. Now I seen you and Si Finds for this Sunday, I can say it is complete. What great detail on the pipe! No wonder this maker was so popular. Isn't it funny how similar things are found on the same day? I remember metal detecting finding numerous dimes or pennies. One nice summer Eve years back I found four Barber dimes, four Mercury dimes and four Roosevelt dimes and all in silver. Or four or five large US cents. Or three earrings or pendants or a number of some item. And of course being the Pipe Queen of the Foreshore all the pipes in one day. A very entertaining lark I'd say from this end of the Big Pond! I Thank You Kindly Nicola and wish you Love, Light, Peace and Luck on the Thames. And I must say again that the phone interview with a man on death row for 37 years still sticks with me. My beautiful lady, the bullets are very unusual. I've fired hundreds of thousands of rounds. Never seen this. Maybe because they were fired into waster. Love you!!

The lines bring back a memory that I will share with you, when I was in the third grade, my sister in the fourth, we got on the school bus one day and sat down together on the same seat. It wasn't long before I noticed a sandwich bag filled with trinkets on the floor of the bus, I picked them up and showed them to my sister who was a year and half older then her brother. I asked her if it was ok for me to have them. She said it was ok, so I put them in my pocket and when I got in my classroom at school I gave them to Amy, a girl I was madly in love with. Amy showed them to other kids in the room and it wasn't long before I was in trouble. The trinkets belonged to another girl that rode the same bus and just happened to be in the third grade also. It wasn't long before I was being questioned by my third grade teacher and the school principal as to how I came to have those trinkets. I explained that I had found them on the floor of the bus and that my sister told me I could have them. So the teacher and principal sent for my sister and asked her if she saw me pick them up off the bus floor and if she told me I could have them, my sister who I assume was as frightened as I was, said she had never seen those trinkets. The lines started for me that day on the black board during recess and continued every day at recess for two hold weeks and it was all because my sister did not tell the truth.
What a great looking pipe. You have a great eye Nicola My daughter found a few clay pipe. Mainly stems. it wasn't anything near impressive. We went to London for the day. As we always do. And we was having lunch at a local cafe on the shore near the Thames right next to tower of London . Not even realising you need a permit. But she just wanted to goto the shore. She was only around 8 yrs old then We did come across a really old boot that was stuck in the wall if you can call it a wall. Right behind us. But I couldn't fish it out. And we really wasn't dressed for being on the shore. My daughter was wearing a beautiful baby blue & white flowery silk dress with frills on white frilly ankle socks and baby blue velvet fancy sandals and summer hat to match. She looked adorable with her summer hat and dress. But had to pick her up as she would of been covered in filth. Every time I watch your channel it reminds me of my little girl and how adorable she looked that day. She's 13 now. Sadly she won't wear dresses anymore. Sorry to go off subject. Great find as always Nicola. Thoroughly enjoy your channel. I'm Hoping there will be a next time to scour the shore. For a nice clay pipe.

Hi Nicola, normally I do not look at how many subscribers people have. Tonight I saw out of the corner of my eye, a long string of numbers. Upon reading it properly, I couldn’t believe how many people finally found you! Congratulations 🎉 on the number of people who have impeccable taste! What I was initially going to comment on was the beautiful piece of Coral you found. The State of Michigan across the pond. Is actually made of two peninsulas upper and lower. Lower is often called the mitten. It is the only state where you can show someone approximately where you live with your hand. It is also surrounded by three of the five Great Lakes. There is a great deal of coral to be found there. They are called petoskey stone and are the State official stone. Check them out on google. They come in all different stages of coral growth as well. Thank you for all of the time, energy, and research you put into every video! Hopefully your car was a easy fix. Thanks again for all of your videos!

Great find on that pipe! It’s amazing how the pipes stay so intact in the mud. And the pink jewelry too. Sad about your car. My car is also broken down for some reason. But.... if it had started you’d never had found the pipe so it was meant to be perhaps?! Looking forward to your new finds! Welcome back!

What a good mud Loving day and a great pipe! As always, the wildlife footages grands as usually. Now I seen you and Si Finds for this Sunday, I can say it is complete. What great detail on the pipe! No wonder this maker was so popular. Isn't it funny how similar things are found on the same day? I remember metal detecting finding numerous dimes or pennies. One nice summer Eve years back I found four Barber dimes, four Mercury dimes and four Roosevelt dimes and all in silver. Or four or five large US cents. Or three earrings or pendants or a number of some item. And of course being the Pipe Queen of the Foreshore all the pipes in one day. A very entertaining lark I'd say from this end of the Big Pond! I Thank You Kindly Nicola and wish you Love, Light, Peace and Luck on the Thames. And I must say again that the phone interview with a man on death row for 37 years still sticks with me. The lines bring back a memory that I will share with you, when I was in the third grade, my sister in the fourth, we got on the school bus one day and sat down together on the same seat. It wasn't long before I noticed a sandwich bag filled with trinkets on the floor of the bus, I picked them up and showed them to my sister who was a year and half older then her brother. I asked her if it was ok for me to have them. She said it was ok, so I put them in my pocket and when I got in my classroom at school I gave them to Amy, a girl I was madly in love with. Amy showed them to other kids in the room and it wasn't long before I was in trouble. The trinkets belonged to another girl that rode the same bus and just happened to be in the third grade also. It wasn't long before I was being questioned by my third grade teacher and the school principal as to how I came to have those trinkets. I explained that I had found them on the floor of the bus and that my sister told me I could have them. So the teacher and principal sent for my sister and asked her if she saw me pick them up off the bus floor and if she told me I could have them, my sister who I assume was as frightened as I was, said she had never seen those trinkets. The lines started for me that day on the black board during recess and continued every day at recess for two hold weeks and it was all because my sister did not tell the truth.

What a great looking pipe. You have a great eye Nicola My daughter found a few clay pipe. Mainly stems. it wasn't anything near impressive. We went to London for the day. As we always do. And we was having lunch at a local cafe on the shore near the Thames right next to tower of London . Not even realising you need a permit. But she just wanted to goto the shore. She was only around 8 yrs old then
We did come across a really old boot that was stuck in the wall if you can call it a wall. Right behind us. But I couldn't fish it out. And we really wasn't dressed for being on the shore. My daughter was wearing a beautiful baby blue & white flowery silk dress with frills on white frilly ankle socks and baby blue velvet fancy sandals and summer hat to match. She looked adorable with her summer hat and dress. But had to pick her up as she would of been covered in filth. Every time I watch your channel it reminds me of my little girl and how adorable she looked that day. She's 13 now. Sadly she won't wear dresses anymore. Sorry to go off subject. Great find as always Nicola. Thoroughly enjoy your channel. I'm Hoping there will be a next time to scour the shore. For a nice clay pipe.

WOW, you found so many great things. The pipe bowl is amazing. That fish was really putting up a fight did not want to be eaten. I bet the tiny spoon was for a baby/toddler or a jam spoon.
