    What would cause a sport mod to hop on the rr coming off a Corner? Should a rr spring be free when you have the car on jack stands? Thank you for the awesome videos!

      It would be the uncontrolled loading of the RR and not being able to hold that much load in the RR spring. The car should be digging pretty hard and all the load should be on the RR.

    Thanks for the videos. We run a Dirt Car ProMod we have to run Afco shocks and only 5 different ones. I am not familiar with the 60" center measurement on the RR. Is this wheel to wheel? Thanks.

      A 60" centered rear end in the hub face to hub face, if I miss stated it I am sorry.

      @@jaynealgofast So this is 30" from center of driveshaft to hub on both sides? No spacers?

    Does the Right Rear spring load change depending on class or total weight of the car? Most of the time when you talk about the 375-400 number it's based on a modified so I'm curious if a imca stock car would be more since the whole car weighs more likewise would a late model be less since it weighs less? Thanks Jay!

      Yes, it should but in most cases, it is not changing. The load is based on the total weight of the RR corner or scale number. (Mod 630-680, SS 730-750 total weight) We use 2/3rd the weight of the car on that scale number to determine the load, the 375 to 400 pounds has been working well and ok on a stock car. (we need to check the scale numbers on a stock car my number seem a little low.) Some day when we better understand how weight effects the car we will be on a higher RR spring rate.

    Better on. B-mod to be spring over axel, or on slider? And should slider be in front or behind axle?

    • @jaynealgofast
      @jaynealgofast  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like the slider in front better in the slick and spring on top in the mud. If you are going to compare the positive side of these 2 based on drive instead of overall performance then spring on top would have more feel. Driver choice, the spring in front on a slider is better in the slick and has more options to make it better.

      @@jaynealgofast thank you for the explanation! Planning to try the slider in front this year. One track we race is usually heavy to intermediate and on occasion slick. Another track is intermediate in heat races and slick for feature.

    Run a slider on rr or over the axel?

    • @jaynealgofast
      @jaynealgofast  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would run the slider, around here most people run on top of the axle, up north they run the slider. If we are talking b-mod if this was an A-Mod I would run coil kit RR.
