    In this video…
    Do you ever lose your train of thought when talking to someone?
    Everything is fine and then that old familiar feeling creeps back…your anxiety.
    You start to panic on the inside and completely lose the words.
    You become self-conscious and are looking for a way out of the conversation.
    I’m reading a viewer comment about a problem they experience that you may be able to relate to and sharing what you can do to overcome this problem.
    For more free videos and step-by-step instructions on how to beat social anxiety disorder ( social phobia ) once and for all using the power of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) visit my homepage: www.social-anxi... (read everything and eventually sign up for my free newsletter if you're ready to finally beat your SAD I'll send you some of the best stuff I've created in the last 4 years for signing up )
    Do you have a:
    Fear of rejection
    Fear of looking foolish
    Fear of criticism
    Fear of disapproval
    Fear of conflict
    Fear of not being liked
    Fear of embarrassment
    Fear of being ridiculed
    And do you feel unsafe socially? Read the article above and learn why you experience anxiety and how to beat anxiety once and for all. Or check out any of the many video and actually DO THE TAPPING, because from watching you'll only get minimal benefit. The power lies in actually doing the weird tapping!
    Kind regards,
    Sebastiaan

    I didn’t know that i’m not the only one with such problem. While taking orally exams , while speaking with my friend/s or even speaking with just a person, i sometimes, uncontrollably loosing my thoughts for some seconds, while they are speaking , my thoughts are not present and i’m always thinking oh hopefully that person didn’t understand that i’m not hearing them, that i’m not here.. oh i need to act like i’m cool, My heart beats in that moment so fast , getting nervous and anxiety comes. When these ,, critical’’ seconds are over , I’m presence but have fear that the thought will come again. So my brain feels like blured and i feel stressed. I couldn’t imagine that anxiety could do it to me. Can you give me an advise , how to react or how to make this ,,attack’’ shortly and rid of it? I’ll be happy about your answer.

    this is great. I was always very social and chatty never bothered to know what thoughts were until I started smoking weed. My brain then went to shit, couldn't socialise and my intelligence went down the drain. Needed to know what thoughts are and never knew the concept of a train of thought! Thank you! I feel myself being articulate again after this. I feel rejevenated now and can bring my 'focus' back.

      yes! yes yes yes! same! love weed....but after years i feel an emptiness in my frontal lobe. i never felt that before.
      anyways, i even make videos....and i lose my train of thought constantly. so i have to pause and refocus. and breathe. i do have social anxiety as well all my life so that coupled with heavy marijuana use really screw up my focus during conversation. also i am afraid of saying the wrong thing and hurting someone or something....so as i speak i am editing what i am about to say and it just causes chaos in the brain and i end up just losing train of thought and it feels awful!!!! i end sentences prematurely sometimes.
      i still smoke weed....but limited now. AND i found that simple talking a lot with my nephew helps a lot. he seems to be the only person i can keep a train of thought with.
      do you have anyone you can speak freely with?

    Ah, your accent is endearing. ^^ I found this from looking up why my eyes randomly lose focus, and then saw the title of this and quickly associated it with my anxiety due to this. Thank you very much for your insights, I really appreciate it, it's very helpful. ^-^ I have the same issue, when I slip into: "Oh shit I can't communicate with this person properly," and I'll actually start to stutter as I blank out. It's miserable. :'(
    Fighting the anxiety is hard sometimes, especially whenever my stutter takes over and I slip into inane ramblings.

    Thank you Sebastian, I’m definitely going to try it! My social anxiety is weird lol , it comes and goes , when it comes is very automatic I can’t even notice the thought that triggers it and sometimes I can feel very present and is almost nonexistent. I’m going to try the tapping, I do feel a little skeptical about it lol but I’ll try.. I have your program also.

    • @Social-anxiety-solutions
      @Social-anxiety-solutions  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good! Skepticism is good! As long as you give things a committed go so you can put it to the test. Being skeptical and not trying anything because "it's probably bullshit" puts you in the group of tons of pessimists who remain stuck due to inaction. A smart skeptic puts things to the test thoroughly so he/she can find out for him/herself. And I know from experience (as a an open-minded skeptic, and former skeptic of tapping myself) that nothing turns a skeptic around faster than noticing actual changes in how you feel rapid quick. And that's what tapping provides. Aim it at the right targets and do it in the right way (use tapping specifically to overcome social anxiety) which my program guides you to do and good things await. Enjoy the ride.

    • @kentyiluminada7676
      @kentyiluminada7676 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! You’re absolutely right I am an open minded skeptical as well, I gotta admit I’ve just been a little lazy and since because I’ve gotten much better not identifying myself with my thoughts and staying present, but social anxiety it’s also a learned behavior that sometimes does not require thoughts so that’s where I’m having problems. ill definitely start the program and let you know how it goes, thank you :)

    Help me try to understand this problem that I am facing. I am an introvert and highly asocial. I think that I have anxiety not sure.
    An incident:
    I was having a video conference for a training session. I always have trouble concentrating. I was hoping the trainer wouldn't pick me but during the mid session, he called my name and in my mind, i was like 'oh no oh my god he called my name fuck I don't know'
    But on the surface, i was smiling and i asked him politely Yes?
    He asked me the question
    And i was stammering badly and talking gibberish it was so awkward my heartbeat was high, thinking what to say, how not to embarrass myself and hoping nobody laughed at me. But they did laugh. I was embarrassed, felt humiliated and was unable to get over it a very long time.
    I can't explain this to people. I don't like talking to people particularly in the group. I forget things and i zone out often. The only time i feel confident is when someone talks about things i like and things that I'm Passionate About.
    I talk fluently normally without stammering. I hope this makes any sense. Help me understand myself, please. Do I have anxiety, if yes what type, do i have attention deficit disorder or anything else?
    Edit: First of all I am an introvert, the second I am asocial, third I have anxiety (not sure) fourth I have focus issues, fifth I have an inferiority complex about me being unattractive, being not so smart and boring. ALL OF THIS IN ONE. hard to handle or to overcome. Have no one to talk to.
    Dealing with all of these and society has only one thing to describe me - LAZY

    I have this problem where whenever someone gives me instructions or just tells me something, my brain instantly focuses on my facial expressions while listening to them rather than actually listening to them. This makes me miss a lot of what people say in convos. It sucks. I'm hating myself because of it. I am poor in following instructions in real life because I don't actually listen to people

    I was always like this, I had a lot of problems in school because I could never concentrate, I was always getting lost in my toughts or distracting myself with my friends, and nowadays it still happens to me, when i'm holding a conversation even with my boyfriend who is the only person I don't have social anxiety with, if he is talking to me about something i'm not interested it's really hard to not get lost. And not only socially interacting, even when watching a movie or tv show I don't like, or a video, I tought maybe it was adhd, but I have anxiety, so it might be it, I just never heard of this as a symptom.

    • @Social-anxiety-solutions

      Whether it's ADD or ADHD I can't tell as I'm not specialised in that. But it's definitely something common when anxious. Losing focus even when not anxious, may just be because... it's actually boring! Or, you may be very much in your mind (often stress-related), or there may be more going on. When you're worried about it, maybe get a test done?

    edit: just to share some of my issues which many people probably share and are not aware it is affecting us....maybe even ashamed or embarrassed to admit. i was a heavy marijuana and cocaine user. cut down a lot but dont want to end the habit completely. i feel these drugs specially cocaine contribute to the train of thought issue.

    The pituitary gland regulates the production of cortisol, not amygdala.

    • @Social-anxiety-solutions
      @Social-anxiety-solutions  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup. And from my limited understanding (I'm a coach, not a neuroscientist), the amygdala is what activates the stress response, leading to a cascade of responses, one of which being the release of cortisol into the bloodstream by the adrenal glands. But if not, I stand corrected! Main point is this: Perceive a threat -> feel anxious!

    So for me I don'r feel anxious in a social but can loose focus if its a wider public setting. So people say things though it wouldn't have any impact. Will look at taking propranolol more, i know ive had anxiety around other areas but in myself feel confident. I can recall numerous job interviews where i spoke fast and probablly sounded nervous. In that context I wouldve undersold myself..
    I have receptive language dissorder. Any suggestions?

    • @Social-anxiety-solutions
      @Social-anxiety-solutions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edinburger Ben, I don't really know what a Receptive Language Disorder is. Definitely, it’s something that I don’t specialize in. I would go and see a doctor and get a proper diagnosis on what's going on.
      If that is social anxiety, then the advice that I give to other people applies to you too.
      Good luck!

    How can I focus something I say???

    • @Social-anxiety-solutions
      @Social-anxiety-solutions  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not as easy to answer this, as it seems like you're looking for some technique or strategy. And sure, you can focus outwardly. Deep breath. Etc. But rather, when you lose focus mid-conversation you're beingn triggered away from the present moment. Something in your environment activates old experiences, beliefs, or negative fantasies, and you're no longer capable of being present. How to easily focus? Resolve the deeper underlying issues. How to get there? Spend the time learning about your psychology, learn tapping, and use that combo to resolve the problem for good. Most people keep looking for quick fixes however, and unfortunately, there's no such thing. To learn how to get rid of the problem forever, I've put together a free course. It's based on 21 years of focus on social anxiety solutions. The best insights from overcoming my own severe social anxiety disorder. And 14 years of coaching socially anxious clients. It's called 'The 7 secrets to social confidence'. You get it here: bit.ly/socialconfidencenow You got this 💪

      Hi Mike,
      This is Sam, Sebastiaan’s assistant.
      I am sorry to hear that you are in a difficult situation. Seb asked me to send this to you:
      ----------------------------
      Hi Mike,
      Sorry to hear you are suffering so much. I know it can be really hard to deal with this, and you’re not alone in this. I also know there are many ways to find relief in your situation.
      Understanding your problem can help give you relief.
      This video simplifies what’s going on here:
      th-cam.com/video/R8eEc2WRgNw/w-d-xo.html
      These beliefs I refer to at the end of the video are learned through negative life experiences, or (mini) traumas. Via various approaches, these negative life experiences can be neutralized, and the beliefs causing the perception of danger can be let go of.
      Regardless of how bad your social anxiety is, and how long you’ve had it, there is the great hope for you when you use the right resources, and get help where you need it.
      You can start to help yourself by learning more about Emotional Freedom Techniques.
      You can get that and other programs I offer here:
      bit.ly/SocialAnxietySolutionsProducts
      Plus I have tons of free videos on TH-cam that can help you. You can find my channel here:
      bit.ly/socialanxietylive
      I also have a podcast. On it you’ll hear me (an ex-social anxiety disorder sufferer) interview the superstars of the therapy and psychology world who have been traditionally trained psychologists or psychotherapists who have incorporated an exciting new field into their practice: “Energy psychology”. These experts share their most effective techniques, empowering solutions, and unbelievably inspiring stories of transformation.
      Each show we discuss a social anxiety related topic (shame, self-acceptance, sensitivity, bullying, fear of rejection, connection, loneliness, etc) and you’ll get specific action steps to move forward each week. Listen in and gain the perspective, inspiration, and techniques to beat your social anxiety. Be supported on your journey and create effortless social confidence; where you enjoy connecting with others, unlock your potential, have fun in social situations, and create the friendship and satisfying social life you want.
      You can find the podcast in iTunes
      And aside from these resources, I strongly suggest finding a great therapist.
      While I’m not available for coaching as of the moment, there are tons of other great practitioners as well if you prefer to work with someone else. And, EFT isn’t the only amazing tool available. There’s emotion code, PSYCH-K, Logosynthesis, TAT and many other amazing modalities that can all help you beat your social anxiety. I interview the founders of these great energy psychology techniques/modalities on my podcast, in case you’re curious.
      So there is plenty of hope and resources available.
      The question is, what are you going to do about it? And, there’s only one moment to stop suffering, and that moment is right now.
      Decide today can be a first step forward out of this pain. One tiny step forward matters. A lot of tiny steps makes for a lot of progress. There’s only a set amount of steps to get to your goal, start right now, and keep moving forward.
      I wish you all the best.
      Hope this reassured you. If you have another reason for why you’re afraid to follow through, please let us know.
      Hope to speak with you soon!
      We're here to help. :-)
      Warm regards,
      Social Anxiety Solutions
