When I am talking to people I think of how they are receiving what I am saying instead of concentrating on my own communication to them and end up forgetting what I am talking about or what words to use next. It is as if I am putting myself in their position and listening to me talking and expecting myself to lose the thread of what I am saying!!
Yes I thought I had anxiety too. No I just had tons of shame packed in my body that triggered my alert system. Shame of being my true self. When I released my shame, I immediately saw results.

Hi Sebastian! I have exactly the same issues. I think in my case it came from bullying when I was in 5 and 6th grade. I get very ashamed and blush a lot as well!
I sometimes feel not anxious and when I go out without feeling anxious, I get scared. It's a weird feeling, I feel worried for not feeling anxious. It is like going out without having a shield of protection. I do feel good when I feel calm, but at the same time it's worrisome, because I know my anxiety could come up suddenly when I least expect it and not being prepared. Is that a common symptom?

Abraham N I'm assuming you mean that the childhood trauma happened with Spanish speaking. Like someone said something in Spanish? If so, this particular phrase might especially trigger you, which would the be a clear target for you to tap on. Though in most cases you can just use English as your subconscious knows what you're referring to. The language in it's most basic form is simply to keep you focused in on the emotion.

A mean angry person who used to yell at me and humiliate me whenever i spoke Spanish because I spoke too fast and was nervous around him and stuttered. Now i get incredibly nervous whenever I speak Spanish with an immigrant and speak fast and get words stuck in my throat.. By myself or with my gf, my spanish is perfect
Abraham N A dad with anger issues is a common story with my clients. And a common cause of anxiety. If you're at home always at risk of upsetting your dad, it's not safe to be yourself. You're constantly walking on egg shells. You're constantly at risk of saying something or doing something that sets him off. Addressing this by aiming your tapping at this (the memories, the phrases, the facial expressions and so on) will help you gain relief from this, and will start to chip away at the overall anxiety. And, the immigrants you now talk with likely remind your subconscious of your dad's behaviour. Now you're at risk again to your subconscious, and the Fight flight freeze gets activated. Difficult to socialise or speak Spanish calmly when your body is in survival mode! By treating the relationship with your dad you will likely make some good headway with this. Let us know how you get on!
Yes, very annoying if you hear about something that's supposedly really powerful, and it doesn't seem to work for you. It might then just appear to be a "relaxation tool" or something. However, "it not working" is the pretty much always a result of not applying EFT in the right way to the issue of social anxiety. I struggled with the same when I first found EFT. What happens you're using EFT to "tap on your anxiety" you'll get temporary results at best. You need to aim it at the right targets. Anxiety is merely a SYMPTOM of a deeper underlying problem. And that problem is that your brain is perceiving threat. Anxiety is the result of the activation of the body's survival mechanism: the fight, flight freeze response. And this FFF response will always get activated when the brain perceives a threat. That threat can be a real one, like a wild bear approaching you. Or a perceived one, like the threat of rejection, being made fun of, looking foolish, negative judgment, etc. This perceived threat is LEARNED. And it is what needs to be shifted and changed, as this is what activates the fight, flight, freeze response leading to your anxiety symptoms. Deal with that properly using tapping... (how? Beyond the scope of this message, go to www.social-anxiety-solutions.com/social-anxiety-starter-kit/ for a free course on exactly how, along with specific EFT tap alongs) ... and your brain won't activate this survival response any longer, and your anxiety is gone. Easier said than done, and this takes effort, dedication, learning how to use EFT in the right way, and persistence. But it's almost never that EFT doesn't work. It works, if you know how to work it. Putting in the time and energy to master this area of your life will reap you benefits for the rest of your life.

I had a very similar feeling when doing 'comfort zone challenges', they feel amazing when you do them but the effects seem very short lasting..

If masturbation makes you feel ashamed, yes. I wouldn't say it causes social anxiety, it just makes it worse if you already have it.
