I wish I had time to come over to the USA in April to ride this. But I cannot get away before May. One thing I didn't get. What is a J plug? Is that what we in Europe would call a Type 1 to distinguish it from the Type 2 we have on all A/C chargers?

Hi David, In the U.S. many of us commonly refer to the J-1772 L1/L2 AC charging standard as j-plugs. J-1772 is currently the most popular L2 standard in the U.S., although within a few years NACS (Tesla AC L2 destination chargers & DC L3 Superchargers) will overtake it now that all major automakers selling in the U.S. have announced plans to switch to NACS. I wrote out J-1772 in the story but I guess I got a little too conversational in the video.

Great video, Bill! For those considering joining, there's more to it than just riding the Dragon. There are lots of other nearby roads like the Cherohala Skyway where we saw a bear cub on a leisurely ride to get some baked goods. I'm signed up... see you there! th-cam.com/video/1n15LN21lgo/w-d-xo.html
