As a guy who also stopped finasteride for over a year, i also feel my front transplanted hair isnt as thick as it was last year...it is starting to look a little see through. Though i also cannot fully tell. I have continued with minoxidal and dermarolling
@@Jackjack1978. Started being paranoid about the side effects and thought let's see how progressive the continued hair loss becomes if I stopped. To be honest, a year on, and the rest of the hair looks the same in my opinion,. It might have thinned somewhat, but very very slowly, and people keep telling me my hair looks thick. But I think it is only yourself who will notice. I might jump back on but 0.5mg every other day or something (I used to take 1mg everyday)

do you need blood work before finasteride, I started topical 3 days ago but freaked out by derek more plates more dates about doing blood work. so i have stopped my treatment
No you don’t. Less than 5% of people get side effects on finasteride, and if you were to get side effects, they go away completely once you stop taking it. Don’t overthink it
Hey mate I have read an article on Google saying finastride causes High grade prostate cancer and minoxidil too causes cancer . I have been facing severe hair loss but due to these side effects I don't wanna use them and I don't know what to do .Any advice
Bro, you have to actually read the studies. Finasteride reduced prostate cancer, not caused it. Look again. And that was for a very high dose. Current thinking suggests 1mg finasteride a week may well be effective, vs 5mg a day, yes a day, many men have been on. Regarding minoxidil, from what I can see this was a high dose study on hairless mice. Basically a large dose twice a day possibly, and this is very sketchy, might maybe be a factor in cancer in mice. One dose a day had no effect. This is mice, which weigh a couple of ounces vs a 160 lb man. I am not advising anything but if these drugs caused cancer people would be suing the literal hell out of them. They have been in use for over twenty years.
Dont know why life has to be so cruel to me, bruh. I literally just got out of skl where it's band for males to grow our hair. Now this shit I hate this life.
Im in the same boat. You’re not alone man, I get it. I also suffer from hair loss. Not sure if faith is important to you, but I have faith that everything will be alright for you and me. Also, recently I’ve been doing more research into hair systems. Honestly they actually look really really good. Only concern I have is if the glues/tapes might be toxic for skin at all. While I am not sure, nothing seems obvious to me, so I’m hopeful for that.
@anonymousanonymous3690 Thanks for this, man. I don't think most people who are not affected by this get what this shit does to your confidence and self-esteem as a man. "Especially if you're young." It's really difficult. I only hope and pray that one day, for both of our sake and everybody else's, we come to some kind of revelation and closer about this situation and to not let it weigh over our lives.
@@anonymousanonymous3690 Faith is where its at fellas! Whether it be genetics, health, or whatever contributes to our hair loss. @prolific_gambino7931 I get your sentiment, especially about wanting a revelation; I believe in many ways the revelation (or at least part of it) has been made clear to me. I’ll explain. To start off, the amazing part of life is that there are so many aspects. Hair is insignificant among all of them. And I say that as someone who is struggling with hair loss and who would want a full head of hair. But the truth is, is that it’s just one thing. And we must admit at the end of the day: it’s definitely a small thing when compared to all other things that can be done and experienced in life. There are countless other things to occupy our time with and that bring fulfillment: things that being far more fulfillment than a full head of hair alone ever could. For me, for example, over the past year I’ve found that learning music and guitar has been one example of such things. Furthermore, I know many people with full heads of hair who are very unhappy. And I know many bald people who are very happy. (Yes there are many people with full heads of hair who are happy. What I’m saying is that happiness and fulfillment can certainly come regardless of the hair on our heads). Here’s the most important thing, in my opinion. Which is where we can directly take control of our situation; I know it’s said often, but it’s something to be truly practiced and mastered: is to truly not care what other people think about our looks. There’s going to be some people who don’t like the way we look. And that would be still be applicable even if we had full hair. I say, who cares. I had women reject me over my height, for example. At the end of the day, fine, if that’s their preference. Actually makes it easy for me to sort out perhaps the more superficial ones. You mentioned about saying it to not “weigh over our lives.” I agree with your sentiment, though I believe the starting place to the revelation your seeking- and the starting place to not having this weigh over our lives- is to simply not give a care about what others think about our looks. I know it’s hard! But it can definitely be done. Think about it: if you were the only human in the world, would you care about looks and hair? I wouldn’t. So therefore, the pressure you may be feeling is probably completely brought on by society. And like many other society pressures, sometimes they are ought to be simply ignored (as I’ve gotten older (I’m 24), I continue to be amazed at so many things in society that are accepted but I believe to be outright wrong; so yes, I do carry with me a skepticism and I believe many things should be outright ignored). Do that, and you’ll find a real freedom. That’s what I do and honestly my mind is mentally free from all the what-ifs and the have-nots. I have trained myself to simply not care. It takes time and practice, but you can do it too. All that being said, to prevent confusion about what I’m saying, I still would recommend to dress presentably as one desires. And I would recommend going to gym and improving physique. Because it is true that those things can definitely be worth it, though not technically necessary. But what I am saying is to do all that at your discretion only, not via forcing yourself to succumb to societal pressures. Essentially, doing those things only if you want to- not because someone else wants you to. Personally, I find that such accomplishments increase confidence in one’s self and their abilities- ultimately making them more carefree, which again is the goal here. They are things I would do even if I was the only person on earth. In a sense, such expression and movement can all be a part of “not giving a damn.” Essentially what I am saying is to just focus on character. Someone wrote this phrase: wealth is nothing, health is something, character is everything. That’s not to say that wealth and health are bad and shouldn’t be pursued when and where appropriate (I recommend pursuing them but *not* making them gods nor idols). But it puts everything into perspective. It relates/compares wealth and health to character. Character wins every time. In interpersonal relationships, character is what has the power to deeply impact and influence much more than money or looks. I have observed that people ultimately admire someone not because of what he/she had/has, but how he/she treated/treats them. And this focus on character would not only guide you to not worry about hair loss, but also in all of your other endeavors in life. It will make you a stronger individual, ready to deal with anything that life or other people present to you. It will make you stable and levelheaded, and decisive. It will empower you to carry out dutifulness and responsibility- to care for yourself and also for others. It will make you impervious to nonsense. Also, don’t worry about being alone. There are plenty of people who will be attracted to that persona you would adopt (the one of not caring, as I discussed above), and the freedom that you would have as a result, the confidence you would have as a result, and all of the ambition and free spirit that would come along with it. And they would look up to you and want to be with you. They will be attracted to you. Why? Because your character would be way too good and way too deep to ignore, and because you wouldn’t give a damn otherwise.
