I'm 60 in 4 months and have stopped my hair loss and am gradually growing it back. First I started doing inversion table a few years ago for a spine issue and noticed some hair coming back. I take Saw Palmetto and am now hardcore on my diet Mediterranean-ish, low carb, no processed, no added sugar. Currently doing 15 minutes per day on inversion table. In last few months I added deep scalp massage while inverted, and derma roller 1.5mm micro needles. My hair loss issue appears to be blood flow related. Tight scalp tension with fibrosis. As I'm encouraging blood flow thru mechanical means and it is allowing my dormant miniaturized hairs to regrow. Now I feel comfortable not wearing a hat. 😄
Hey Doctor, I would love you to do a video about proper dieting for this topic! I know is not your speciality but maybe you could collab with a fellow nutritionist here in te platform!
Yes it speeds up hair loss! But hair loss through stress does grow back once you get over that phase . Topical things like minoxidil can speed that up though.
On next Monday, I'm getting a combined PRP+exosomes treatment for hair thinning on the scalp, now at 40 I'm told it'll work more steadily than after waiting furtherly
I had a transplant at 40 for the front, cutting out a strip or hair, and a second one at fifty for the front, cutting out a strip of hair around the scar (so only one scar which was sewed so that hair grows over it) - in effect a very mild facelift that pulled the thinning crown patch down a bit so I can't see it in the mirror, face-on, but it does not seem to have got any worse than when I was forty (now seventy) and I do comb my hair back from the front. I do use Nizoral shampoo two to three times a week, Fabao 101 hair tonic every day and take some hair vitamins. Definitely can see the hair thinning if I stop the Nizoral and now experimenting with using heavily diluted Nizoral in between the full strength shampoos - I do shampoo every day and only use cold water showers even in winter (not just for the hair but to wake me up in the morning).
Hi Doctor Gary, Is Norwood 3 (Vertex) too late for Finasteride and Minoxidil ? Which stage of balding can be reversible with Finasteride and Minoxidil ? Thank you for your great knowledge and video 🎉🎉
I’m at stage 3 (vertex) with small resscesion on the left temple and some visible thining on crown ( lost about 30-35% of density maybe). If I can get my crown back to 80-90% of my teenage, I’m happy with that 🥳
i had weird symptoms with oral minoxidil. when i took a deep breath, i had discomfort in my chest. had to stop taking it and now back on topical. been on fin for 2-3 years.
When i use topical minoxidil on its own or with Finesteride as topical, i get hair growth that fills , but i get itching all over my body without skin rash, even if i stop. Once i lose the hair months later the itch stops.
I almost completely recovered mine by taking oral minoxidil and Dutasteride. I've began to take Saw Palmetto too, though I'd like to ask, What happens if I take Saw Palmetto in the mornings and Dutasteride in the night? Is it maybe too much?
Hey Doctor Gary, I've been using oral minoxidil for 8 months, mainly for my crown. At month 5 it was back to being full, but at month 6 it started getting bad again, also noticed more shedding. Is this part of the process for oral minoxidil?
Hello. In my country we dont have acess to propecia without prescription, but theres generic finasteride pills 5mg known as prostide. They are small dificult to cut them in 4 pieces but doable, you have after that very small 4x1,25mg parts the problem is that the pill is film coated. Can i buy empty gelatin capsules and fill them with the tiny cutted 1/4 parts from the 5mg pills and consume them like that? Cheers
Hi Doctor. I am 25 and started thinning at 20 lol. I started hair laser therapy and minoxidil with seronoa with some shampoo. I still see thinning and it's still 6 months. My doctor again said that it will cost 4k to have just medication for a year and I can take it for 5 years which will cost 20k. I already paid about 7k for the laser therapy and I believe that my doctor is just lying to me at this point. Kindly doctor is it true that medication can cost 4 grand? Am from Australia
Focus on nutrition, stress free mindset, and dietary habits. In your 20s, your scalp and cells are very active and strong. Inhibit DHT thru topical finasteride, or even duesteride, gentle derma roller applications, and massage the balding area for blood circulation. Poor blood flow causes the sides to go bald, while excessive DHT causes the top to disappear. More importantly, clean and shampoo your scalp regularly. Cut your hair every once in a while to decrease split ends and encourage growth.
Meh, unless you want to be on drugs for it, its the way it is. EVERY drug has a side effect. Now if you have a shit load of money, go ahead. But more or less the poor mans ways just wont work.
min and fin are pretty cheap in any country though, they're generic prescriptions for common things like blood flow and enlarged prostate if you're in a poor country they probably only sell fin at 5mg, so you cut them in 1.25mg and take only 3 times a week if you're worried about side effects. by doing this your 30 capsule 5mg fin will probably last 6+ months
Dr. Linkov and his staff are the best!!!

Pls. Make details video on oral minoxidil, specially its side effects on long term use, how long we can use it, etc.
Wish my hair transplant doctor had watched this. Halo is an apt name for the outcome.

I lost much of my crown after a break up. Stress is a factor.
Get on meds bro..

@@theancientsancients1769do yo than simply stop using minoxidil when the hair is back? If the loss is stress induced?
Or it was coincidental

Thank you Doctor for you usual expert reports. I have a question. Is a person ever too old for a hair transplant.
Not really. As long as general health is good.

you can try at any stage, but don't expect it to revert to 0 unless you get a HT

How detrimental is nicotine on hair growth?
How about if you have a lot of wounds from alopecia
The limited amount of grafts I have went to what I can see in the mirror. Finasteride, oral minoxidil, and Toppik will have to fix the crown!
The lighting in the before and after shots is really not fair
Any thoughts on umbilical cord stem cell hair restoration?
Can Canadians purchase finasteride from your site?

hey how long have you been on meds?
@@shahreyarhossain4406 2+ years almost 3
Saw palmetto is a very weak 5ar inhibidor
I don't think it'll do much if you're already taking dutasteride
How long did it take for you, and what dose of oral minoxidil do you take, please?
dut is probably 100x more powerful than saw palmetto
i want to try oral minoxidil but scared due to the fear mongering.

What kind of laser 😂
@ the red laser hair therapy. Not only that, I mean no finasteride and only minoxidil and seronoa
