Im 11 days in on my 2600. Mostly needed my widows peak filled in and a very small circle on the backside. Im happy but at the same time concerned. I can tell they didnt seek out single hairs for the front, my donor area was rich in 2/3 hair follicles, so im dreading the fake look. If this is the case can it be corrected a year from now by removing those same grafts and replacing them with singles or will that kill them off being done twice? Note: i have super fine/straight dirty blonde hair.
Great job! This is for sure the best content I've found on TH-cam about hair transplant. It has really opened my mind and allowed me to understand the decision of my clinic. By the way, I've done one surgery at HLC for the hair line and I'm gonna have the second improve the hairline and a beard transplant on my cheeks
thanks man, appreciate the comppliment! Happy to hear it helped you out with navigating your decisions towards the right direction! Good luck on the 2nd one!
Matt, there is a hair transplant TH-camr named Amit who had two transplants with Vera Clinic totalling 10,000 grafts (not to be confused with Amir, who you previously reviewed). Can you do a video analyzing Amit's transplants including assessment of his donor area, similar to what you did for Brett Maverick? We haven't yet seen an independent assessment of Amit's hair situation and just how well the surgeries went.
10000 are possible if you go beyond healthy over-harvesting threashold (more than 35% reduction in donor density) OR you have an excellent donor. Then you could push it to 10000. But with Turkish clinics I learned to be skeptical. Many 5000 graft surgeries for example don't look like 5000. The efficiency is not always as high. I have not seen his case so cant judge but it is not uncommon to have 10000 grafts extracted on paper but in reality it were merely 6000-7000 or less. I will have a look first, and let you know.
@@letsgethair Thanks, I think it would be an interesting subject for one of your videos, and would be relevant to those of us who have a lot of hair loss and are considering mega-sessions with a Turkish hair mill.
@@letsgethairGreat content as usual! I have some questions if you may ! 1- How old were you when you got your first HT ? 2- Which Norwood were you before your first HT and before starting the battle against hairloss ?
if you are 45 and you dont losing further any hair then why to take medication? If all transplanted hair follicles are already resistant to falling out ?
After the hair transplant, are the patients taking Finasteride in order to stop the falling of the transplanted hair follicules or the regular (not touched hair follicules)?
I am asking this because I am confused ... Some experts say that transplanted hair follicules from donor area are resistant to DHT and they are not going to fell off, no matter if you are taking/ not taking Finasteride? Finasteride is only used for existing hair follicules (not transplanted ones) which are going to fell off if you don't use Finasteride/Minoxidil? Is this correct?
Pointless. The meds are your insurance policy. A hair transplant isn't a cure to something that is genetic. Simple as this. You take the medication for as long you want to keep your beautiful hair.
it is not as necessary to use minoxidil after transplant as it is necessary to take finasteride. You only need to use minoxidil on the non-transplanted areas. The transplanted hair thickness is 100%. You will not boost its thickness further with minoxidil.
@@letsgethair I see but some people says have to use minoxidile only on transplanted area for about six months and then just continue with finasterid or dutasterid don't need to use minoxidile all over scalp it will make even worse is it true?
@@hasan6390 The recommendation to use minoxidil in the beginning after the hair transplant is to get results faster. What that means is that minoxidil is a growth stimulant, so it speeds up to regrowth time after the transplant.
@@humptyDumptyHadAGreatFallbut all the doctors say to not use it until 4 weeks AFTER the transplant which seems odd. Seems like you would want to take it right away. Lol

Great video, Matt.

Excellent video matt❤
Matt... 5000 Grafts times 1.5 is 7500 not 6500...15:35
You are right man! Thanks for correcting. Sorry about it.
