      How's it holding up? I'm wondering weather i should get the admit jet armor or the surron ultra bee quality and performance wise

      @@bahamaboy2609 I would guess that they're a lot of the same parts. But, I would also guess that Surron has unrivaled quality and/or customer support. I own a rad power bike and I am looking into these. The reason I purchased the rad as opposed to the cheaper version was because of the service and branded name. If you have the money and are going to be using it regularly I would go for Surron. If you just want to play around and you will get bored soon go for the admitjet. That's just my opinion

    Hi Brian,
    I am very curious about the behavior of the new controller. Let me know what the result is. I have the same AdmitJet as you, it contains a 500A controller (type YS 72500-24). I have found that throttle dead occurs when the rear wheel locks up for a very short time (around 0.5s) during braking. This is exactly what happened to you in this video 10:44 where you were going downhill and braking on gravel. When the wheel is locked for a longer time (around 1s or more) the problem does not appear.
    Sorry for my bad english
    Thanks for the feedback and enjoy the ride!

      Thanks for your comment. I have not installed the new controller yet so I'm still using the stock controller. It's not high on my priority list, probably a winter project. I may see if I can reproduce the behavior by locking up for less than .5 of a second and see if it kills the throttle. Thanks!

    Google admitjet Amor dirt version, looks exactly like KTM freeride, probably made in same factory.

    Regarding the noise: one, it’s likely in part due to no engine noise drowning out; and two, I have read multiple times that you Absolutely need to go over Every Single bolt, clean, blue thread lock, and torque. Apparently, they don’t have torque instruments in China, and also strip threads.
    I saw a vid of an advanced dirt racer on a max track, and I was distracted by clunking on landings … so, I’m thinking that it’s because no engine noise 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @fx1mark
      @fx1mark ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a nicot sahara pro. I had a problem with bolts coming loose at first. I used blue lock tight and still had bolts coming loose that I had tightened myself. You hear the chain slap on landings, it's kind of strange but I have gotten used to it.

    Hi Brian, eager to see more!
    What charger did it come with?

    • @brianl.2104
      @brianl.2104  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not sure what you mean by "what charger" - it's a charger that plugs into a normal US receptacle. Didn't need to run 220 or anything like that.
      I have footage from another ride but it's so tedious to edit!! I was at the same place but on some different trails. So much wildlife compared to on a gas bike. I saw rabbits, chipmunks, and even a moose!

    • @drmayerr
      @drmayerr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianl.2104 a moose?! How close were able to get before they noticed you?
      Was curious about whether the bike shipped with a 110v or 220v charger. 220v chargers usually charge much quicker than 110v ones.

    • @brianl.2104
      @brianl.2104  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@drmayerr normal 110v US plug. Yes, a moose! I looked up and it was in the trail running the opposite way, so it noticed me before I noticed it. It will be in my next video if I can ever finish editing it. Thanks for the comments!

    Eager to learn of your experience to get it Plated (on road use). That is the final determining factor for me purchasing …. I need it (licensable) for Dual-use.

      I am in the process of uploading another video. To answer your question, I was able to get an ORV tag here in Washington. Once the title comes I should be able to get a street inspection. I need to add blinkers, working horn, tail / brake light. It already has a headlight, hopefully it will be good enough. They also require DOT wheels and tires, but the wheels and tires are stamped DOT, hopefully that is enough (I have no idea if it's a legit stamp, though).

    • @brianl.2104
      @brianl.2104  ปีที่แล้ว

      My latest challenge is liability insurance, which is required in WA to be street legal. Geico is my car/motorcycle insurance company and they won’t help at all.

    Hi Brian, Was wondering if you were ever able to get your bike titled and off road tags in Washington? And what did it take to do so. I am Also a Washington residence and thinking of getting a Chinese bike .I will appreciate any response.

    • @brianl.2104
      @brianl.2104  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello. Yes! I was finally able to get it registered in Washington as an ORV. I was then pursuing getting it registered for on-road use but I am blocked right now because I can't find any company to provide liability insurance (required in WA state now for on-road motorcycles). Still trying, though!
      I documented what I went through here:

      I have not ridden the ultra bee. Definitely better than the light bee for me. More power, real moto sized components, etc. Just a bigger bike overall.

    • @brianl.2104

      They advertise much more range than that. I have only gone about 25-30 miles and still had significant battery left, but it depends on how hard you're riding it. I'm going to try to do a range test before winter.

    Who wears ear plugs on a gas dirt bike??

    • @brianl.2104
      @brianl.2104  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do. My KLX300 is pretty quiet with the stock exhaust but it's still loud enough that it's bad for my hearing. My DRZ400 has some cheapo aftermarket exhaust on it and it's obnoxiously loud. Trust us old guys on this, be careful with your hearing when you're young so you don't end up damaging your hearing or having to deal with tinnitus.
