Shut the up he has hundreds of thousands of dollars of moto bikes in his office and he’s probably better at riding than you so shut up kid I also own a Ktm and I sold it because it’s bad
lol. KTM make good dirt bikes , john deakin rode for them and had wins at paris dakar. i was watch him lap again from end of a tractor track in dunholm woods when mate camee to fetch me back . dad had stacked n bust his leg . 15 miles laps , geared right down , nowhere 80 mph possible and other limits pass by first for most . bravery and skill lol . i remember the time first ktm appeared . at the point the japaneese mx bikes all started power valving it ,painful hearing tests for the rider, hilarious for everyone else , 2000 revs and tuning goes turbo lmao catch it accidentally and throw ur bike away like a clutch dump start by a noob . i was lent right over , slammed handle bars nuts first pmsl . right by where everyone sits lol . dads new race bike too . i hadnt even asked to ride it , i was 8 or 9 , n could reach the controls but not the floor . if guy martin ex TT racer and general speed freak flipped a 12 grand e-mtb .so must be powerful . dont know wattage of ebike or that dirt bike . im thinking , having seen ktm's roaming the wilds , that even after charging it , it wasnt set properly . theres no clutch normally like a gas bike , you dont need to clutch it to wind up a fist full of grunt , the power band starts at 1 rpm ,so theres simulated clutching , throttle response in parameters set up . its that fierce , they advise you use zero start set so you have to peddle start e.mtb's. to avoid breaking kit outright or wearing it out as if you had throttle tied open and just a clutch n gears to control speed . set that right up to 5 on the ebikes , spinal taps 11/10 the electro magnets. , this also is max regen setting , and max engine breaking that gas non rotary engines get . clips suggest breaks are almost decrative . watched couple amateur weekend racers clip and it changed their riding style from how you drive a rear wheel drive car ,compared to a front wheel drive . wider slower cornering , preservation of momentum , not point squirt break late steer boot for power slide , straighten repeat . rider said in setting 1 the bike had 125 power 2 250 3 equaled his 450 4 stroker crosser 4 and 5 spun up the wheels at will not just when accelerating from slower speeds . electric wins on performance , theres no fighting it . powers always there through full 360 rotation , piston has reset stroke minimum as drag and no 360 cylinder engines lmao . running a bike flat out test ok for comparing within catagory , maybe even petrol vs electric coz i dont think an hour flat out on a gaser is likely without buying a long range tank or a bike pre made . like first dominator style bikes . long rally bikes . enduro mx is lapping your pit set up ahead of the reducing lap time allowed by enough to fuel up without crashing and breaking shit . big bikes in the woods mostly dnf , crash or lifting that fuel tank up or manhandling it breaks the rider. those soft tires , if they survived , didnt have serious power put through them . id only put them on for kick start type trials , digging ur nails in , in fear of your life shit climbing 30 ft fibreglass waterfalls n shit . learning phased electric as ive got an emtb and found out it cant cope on throtlle only with 50 ft above sea level . lol. turns out that 50 ft in 40 m is beyond average ebikes pmsl . as even the gasers geard down , i should have seen that coming . uk and eu 250/350 w limits defining electric assist and motorbikes , set a false standard of useful power and hold fake value through being required , leave riders likely to encounter difficultys at random points . like with 50 cc n 125 cc bikes .the gutless ebike i brought still hits the speed limit in 2 secs , and sensor off and lift rear wheel 55kmh is nigh instant . 30 ish on the flat is often quoted as top speed for 250/350 but thats more than 15 limit needs . so reasonable power excess is used theory wise . coz im 11 stone and geared hub at that power have worse copd than me .lol . trying not to break that rule living with hills , cliff paths , to not risks seizure . is a massive headache . if getting it to self propel the hill i live on is possible . gearless hub im told give 3 times hill climbing for a chunk of top end . mandate using them and low 20s top end and hills no object . off road mid motor and bikes gearset is what im installing 6or 7 to 1reduction area using bikes standard cogs . but 21 speed is now 7 , eng uses biggest tho if top speed was needed , just shorten chain . i use old mid size but new crank as you need double freewheel to coast . as i said . 1 lil error and only limp mode occurs . wonder what throttle settings were on im reckoning 1 was set in factory to reduce damage or wear from full stop starting with full twistn peddlers . glad i dont live where they shot steve mcqueens bullet car chase .surpised no one has put that throttles setting in a 0-5 format and mapped it to a variable resistor or an e gear selector , give it a fancy name like simEclutch . effectively your varying the size of magnetic field as clutch plates. there could even be more torque in geared hubs and were seeing n feeling the limiter ruining momentum . sabotagued by ped assist . if they want us to switch ,vehicles at least must do hills reliably on its own . dont need assistance on flat or downhill , anything that packs up at 1 in5 slope is false advertising as none say soz m8 we claim torque figures to rip you off lol . no need its just not restricting power for the sake of it . no allowance for kids on board , means loads wont swap . bad managment by people again .like fish stocks arent great , minimum size . increase killing breeding stock . max size doesnt fit bar potting , trapping . big crabs lobsters or anything big cant get in . be a lot of jobs to fill . no escaping the answer is quota , ban pricing by size so once you ve caught a load full you cant profit hanging on for prefered size . fish farming requires upto 50 kilos . stupid rules cause problems . hills are real and where help is neccessary not luxury . right ooff to see ,hopefully more performance from ktm . should throw people off lol
I'm glad he took the time to rant about KTM, ever since I started dirtbiking as a kid I always firmly believed that KTM is a brand for people who think that just because something is more expensive it makes it better.
if you think stat cards on the motor is all that matters... then you're a fool. KTM is more expensive because of the suspension.. to get a quality ride on the big 3. the price of upgrading would be the same as buying KTM from new turn key...
It depends on the type of riding you're doing really, for enduro and technical trail riding KTM is the gold standard, and one of the few companies that still make 2-strokes which is awesome. I've been a loyal Honda rider my entire life but if I had the money I would definitely add a ktm 300 xc-w tpi to my collection, absolutely incredible bike.
I recently bought an enduro 12000w motor bike. 72v battery 48amp. I’ve done 65mph… and covered 80 miles on a charge… all on the road. I normally range from 20mph to 50mph. The thing is a beast and cost me $4,000 👍
Nope, they are Chinese (specifically Taiwan) tires, Cheng Shin in fact is Maxxis. Maxxis is just a name to seem more manly and exciting than they actually are. Much like the G in LG electronics is GoldStar (the brand they used to sell in Thrifty/Rite Aid). No experience with the harder Maxxis tire compounds, but several years ago I tore off 80% of the knobs on a brand new intermediate hardness 18" rear in one 10 mile 100 mph+ down and back run down a hard packed mining truck dirt road near independence CA. Swore then I would never buy another Maxxis. That was even before finding out they are the same manufacture that made the 1/2 price (street or dirt) options for riders who cared more about cost than quality at the Yamaha dealership where I was a mechanic in the early 80s.
@@fredx6678 I use 35in maxxis tires on my jeep, have beat the shit out of them in the rocks, dirt, and snow. I have zero complaints. I'll never buy another brand again.
Maxxis pretty much own the mountain bike tire market right now. Popular tires that I haven't heard any complaints about. Not that there aren't any. Installed four tubeless Maxxis on two mountain bikes recently and they're great so far. And the new Ibis Ripley has same.
I totally wanna see a Harley smash sport bikes! My uncle has a screeming eagle Night train converted to 110ci and built, it claps off on most sport bikes! love it
If that small battery was reading an extremely low voltage it probably defaulted to storage mode. Should be able to reset it or give it a quick boost to revive it. Also, you're not getting anywhere near 200hp out of an M8 with "bolt-on's"
Honestly for electric vehicles I say the electric unicycle is the way to go, you can even take them down hiking trails and the Veteran Sherman has a 80 miles usable range. and it goes 50+ mph. you can also put it in your trunk.
I don't comment anymore, but your videos are great. I'm not even into bikes at all, except I want to go the Isle of Man to the TT someday. You need to get to the UK and do some of your videos there. You would do fantastic there. Wow.
KTM was ahead of its time, they came with good chains and sprockets, rims, and aluminum bars straight from the factory and back in the late 90’s if you bought it early you got and care package, which mine came with a spare piston and rings with other stuff. They did a hydraulic clutch 1st on a dirt bike.
It's KTM, that is said as the 3 letters. It stands for Kronreif (one original owner/partner), Trunkenpolz (the other original partner/owner [and the son of whom is the current c.e.o.]), Mattighoffen {as in the town where it's manufactured, Mattighoffen, Austria.} They've been around for almost a century having begun manufacturing bicycles and wheelchairs. In the 1960's a man by the name of John Penton Sr. headed over to Austria and convinced them to make a better off-road/enduro dirtbike (as opposed to the heavy and w i d e BMW that he did competitive enduro and Six Days Trials on) for world class woods riding. In the U.S.A. it was marketed as Penton. The rest of the world got KTM, although they were identical bikes. This manufacturer is inherently different from ALL other dirtbike companies as what their "factory" racers learn on Sundays at the races/enduros IMMEDIATELY goes into production once it's proven to be an effective change! : )'
the KTM is a famous dirtbike company really known here in the middle east because off course we have to use dirtbikes for fun in the desert and here we say it as a whole word (katim)
If I was riding a dirt bike at home I really wouldn’t mind an electric if it had the power, could ride for min 1 hour and had a battery pack that I could replace very easily replace so one is charging while using the other. 2 stroke Dirt bike engines don’t last very long for most people because ur wide open all the time and when 4 stroke dirt bike engines blow up they can be very expensive to fix. Electric dirt bikes really will be the way to go if they are made to be reliable, can swap battery packs very quickly and made to be driven non stop so you can just keep swapping battery packs. Also a decent price really would need to be cheaper then gasoline for me. If they were made up to par I would love to not have to worry about bringing extra spark plugs, having to buy good 2 stroke oil (I only like 2 stroke bikes), good fuel. I guess in reality if the bike was really good even if you paid more you would save in maintenance and fuel costs.
Clearly you know nothing about electric dirtbikes, its not that easy to swap the batteries out, 30min job , i thought this for my kids mx350 but its such a pain its not worth swapping them out ever change up

Boys, it is not important which way you put it in. European equipment has Alternating Current. Its so damn easy....
The only problem you will have is the voltage. In Europe 230V is normal. US has 110 or so. Caused by that, it will take longer to load the battery.
The US has 230v. Matter of fact if you bring a European 230 motor over here and wire it to 230 it will run faster:)

LOL, actually KTM makes some of the finest motorcycles the earth has ever seen. The tires makes me think that is not a motocross, electric dirty-bike? What did you think of it's weight? What did you think of it's suspension? How adjustable is the suspension? Could it be ridden like a real duel sport (it looks like such) and hold its own? Come on man, if you're going to do a motorcycle review, you could/should test other things, too 🤣🤯😜
Shut the up he has hundreds of thousands of dollars of moto bikes in his office and he’s probably better at riding than you so shut up kid I also own a Ktm and I sold it because it’s bad
The free ride is more of a trials/ enduro bike. Not meant to be fast at all.
Says I don’t like people that ride KTM but then says,…. I had one….
In Australia most bikes are the same price i paid the same price for an in stock 2021 exc450 as i would have for a not i stock 2020 wr450f
And better brakes. If you "upgrade" the brakes and suspension on a "big3" bike to what you get stock on a KTM. Guess what? It costs $.
@@johnwalker7592 look man I ride ktms and I love them but dang it’s stock suspension sucks I way rather have a Yamaha for the kyb forks

The thing is a beast and cost me $4,000 👍
As soon as I seen the tires ,I was like wait a minute, those aren’t cheap Chinese tires
I also have maxxis on my dirtbike. Tons of grip out in the terrain, although I can agree that they wear pretty quick
Maxxis pretty much own the mountain bike tire market right now. Popular tires that I haven't heard any complaints about. Not that there aren't any. Installed four tubeless Maxxis on two mountain bikes recently and they're great so far. And the new Ibis Ripley has same.

If that small battery was reading an extremely low voltage it probably defaulted to storage mode. Should be able to reset it or give it a quick boost to revive it.
Also, you're not getting anywhere near 200hp out of an M8 with "bolt-on's"
... Unless that "bolt-on" is the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
Honestly for electric vehicles I say the electric unicycle is the way to go, you can even take them down hiking trails and the Veteran Sherman has a 80 miles usable range. and it goes 50+ mph. you can also put it in your trunk.

Their 4 stroke bikes eat oil like a 2 stroke
Yep! You've been around ktms before lol
And then the 2 strokes are lovely until they get stolen because they’re bright orange:(
KTM was ahead of its time, they came with good chains and sprockets, rims, and aluminum bars straight from the factory and back in the late 90’s if you bought it early you got and care package, which mine came with a spare piston and rings with other stuff. They did a hydraulic clutch 1st on a dirt bike.
Was the manual they supplied really a sketch pad for when you have to wait sit around and let it charge?

Have a look at Surrons
