I like stock camera..but is easy to upgrade. I'm using caddex turbo. Excellent bird. Had me some arming issues but just figured out..this is going to be bird of 2019. Great little acro trainer or use to hone your power loops and such. It's so light wont break..I've wrecked hard! Its bear tuff! Great vid thumbs up..oh option 4 for cable..rotor riot sells a harness kit..can make own harness..get kit!

I think you may have installed the tpu standoffs backwards. If you notice the post portion is slightly offset and you have the offset backward which caused it to pinch and v out the front of the mount. And the outside mounting holes have small cutouts to recess the screws. Maybe you didnt mirror the print? Just a observation. Its tpu so shouldn't matter much. I have a freestyle on the way and and doing the same mod. I had a local person print them off for me in abs
Interesting! Thanks for this guide. I wanted to ask, do you have a problem with your props coming off without the screws holding them on? I just can't imagine how they would be necessary. Makes me want to get a new camera.

I Don't think there would be enough room above the stack and the top plate. As it is right now there is barely room between the VTX and the top plate for the battery strap.

What the hell is that connector called dude. I can’t find it anywhere on the internet. You were so detailed I expected to hear you say what it was but you didn’t, all you said was use an old cable lying around. MX 1.0? I can’t figure it out HELP
I'm prety sure it's a jst -sh connector but you need to measure the pitch of the pins to be sure. I don't have it anymore to measure. Here is a wiki on the jst connector types. I hope it helps. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/JST_connector#Connector_series
Probably not. The reciever and Vtx are fairly well matched. If you upped the distance on the Vtx then you will quickly become limited by the spi rx. Eventually you will be chasing your tail on this one.
Awesome video. I plan on doing exactly this mod as well as upgrading the vtx and receiver. My question is, how would I go about finding that switch board you showed? This is my first quad so I don’t have any spare parts but I’m loving it so far.
I was expecting that you would swap out the VTX as well. Thanks for the video as I bought a pair of these camera mounts to use with my FPV camera mod. They are much sturdier than they look.
Possibly. The VTX on mine was actually pretty well matched to the Receiver range but i have her a lot of people complain about the poor video range. But with that said running a good VRX and good antennas can make a BIG difference.
Hi there nice video. Quick question, I change the stock cam on my freestyle with the run cam nano 2 and the fpv feed looks perfect but on the dvr recordings the colors are very red. Are there any settings for this camera? I also moded the vtx and xt30. I invite you to check out my channel. i agree, might be easier to see difference in real life and not on an dvr recording. seems like theres more interference on the video with the runcam nano.

No, it will only work with frsky transmitters. You can install a flysky reciever in it.

It'd good I wouldn't say it's better than the babyhawk just different. It certainly flies way better than the babyhawk did out of the box.

I can see why you're satisfied with the stock VTX. It has alot less interference than mine does.
I am running rapidfire, so that does help a bit. Also I'm out in no where and there really isn't much 5.8g noise where I'm at.

You would need to solder your own reciever to the tinyhawk board. Other than that it should be pretty easy.

unfortunately there are no adjustments to this camera that i know of.

Ratel is too big but if you had a 3d printer you could probably design somehting to make it fit.
