You can just put 4&6 down and mark the front pulley then turn one revolution. The gasket sealer on the cork gasket isn't a good idea as it is very common to slip in when you have the diesel tank on after warm up and have all to remove.Evo stick on rocker cover and gasket and stick it to the cover the best job. No matter how good you are setting tappets after replacing the head the valves will settle in causing some to tighten and others to loosen. We just run them with cover off until the oil has fed Rocker shaft and leave to cool then reset them. You said you had a bit of a blow past in the pistons! When you replace the valve's and stop any leakage there, it often causes starting issues as compression is forced by the ring's increasing the blow past.
Thank you for the video Dan, 🙂 at least I've got something to watch due to this F-ing rain!!!! 😡 and can't get into the field for work !!!! Hopefully the Funky farmer will find this video useful for servicing his reunited 35. 🙂👍
Looked a bit fidly with 3 spanners. We need to look on the bright side, in 2 weeks the clocks change which means we will get One hour's less rain every day !!!!
This is completely off topic but do you know anywhere you can get a ball joint that attaches to the blade of a massey ferguson finger bar mower by chance ??

Cracking video Dan, my yellow tractor with a Perkins 3.152 is breathing very heavily so am debating a rebuild. This info will come in very handy!
A good clear explanation of the project, thanks
