PECAN CARAMEL BROWNIES! Gooey Turtle Brownie Recipe!

  • This gooey brownie is so yummy and chocolatey with chopped pecans and a rich caramel sauce on top! I highly recommend making my homemade caramel sauce because it is so smooth and deep in flavor.

    Turtle Brownies
    Ingredients:
    All-Purpose Flour: 3/4 cup (90 grams)
    Cocoa Powder: 1/3 cup plus 2 and 1/2 tablespoons (40 grams)
    Baking Powder: 1/4 teaspoon plus an eighth (1.5 grams)
    Salt: 1/4 teaspoon (1.5 grams)
    Sugar: 1 and 1/2 cups (300 grams)
    Vegetable Oil: 3/4 cup (180 milliliters)
    Vanilla Extract: 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters)
    Eggs: 3
    Pecans, chopped: 1 cup (125 grams)
    Chocolate Chips: 1/2 cup or more, as desired
    Caramel Sauce: Homemade or store-bought, for drizzling
    Directions:
    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    2. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
    3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Optionally, sift the dry ingredients to ensure there are no lumps.
    4. In a separate large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully incorporated.
    5. Crack in the eggs and beat them into the sugar mixture until smooth and creamy.
    6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
    7. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips into the batter until evenly distributed.
    8. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
    9. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs attached.
    10. Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool slightly in the pan. Drizzle homemade or store-bought caramel sauce generously over the warm brownies.
    11. Slice the turtle brownies into squares and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy the gooey, fudgy texture, complemented by the toasted pecans, chocolate chips, and decadent caramel drizzle.

    Pour into a greased 8x8 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes.
