I am thinking about a gift also...my next experiment will be with squares (5") or 4" so they are easy to work with. Then, there won't be any issue about the sides. But, I am really liking the uneven edge of the big hexagon flowers. Thank you for watching.
Update on the edges: I did not make the edges straight. I liked the large scalloped looking edge. It seems to make it look older. This is one of my favorite new ideas and my family really liked it. Enjoy!
Glad you like it! I just tried 4 1/2 inch square and that was fun...only 4 corners and edges will all be straight. Kid /toddler blanket is my goal. Have fun!
