Every time they release a new car it becomes the fastest so that everybody goes and buys it. We all know that.This is how they make loads of money.
So annoying. I liked the 296 before the update and now it seems so unstable. I thought I was experiencing placebo!
So once again the newest car is the fastest lol nice one iRacing.
I got the Porsche recently and love the way it drives, the Ferrari always tries to kill me whenever I drive it.
Yea...to be fair, it would be a terrible business model from iRacings point of view if it wasn't. It is close though, I think it should be a good season 👍

Good video Dunc, and nice to see the Lambo is back in business. It was always my favourite car but had to leave it in the garage for way to long.

That would be awesome. Many slower guys only race in fixed series and maybe don't have time to do all setups etc, but I've heard the fixed setups change the outcome quite a lot so would me mega helpful for sure 👍🏻
Can't imagine many people use the baseline setup tbh 🤔 as they no doubt mod that to what they like. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻 subbed and shared the vid in our league 👍🏻

Can anyone tell me if its just me but I found the laptimes i set in the 296 before the update to be a lot faster than what i can get now, so is the 296 really slower in this update or am i just tweeking
296 seems as solid as ever this week 🤷♂️

From the brief testing i did the audi seemed to burn a bit more fuel than the 296.
Hopefully, I'll see ya around this season, I'll probably be in the Audi and Porka mainly, I think.
Yea hopefully mate. They'll be my choices too, plus the Mercedes and the BMW

I’ve honestly found the 296 to be very stable and forgiving, while having much better front end and brakes than the 488. I used to drive the Audi but the new one feels way too eager to swap ends
It's nicely balanced at the moment I feel. Depending on your preference there's a few options that ppl can be competitive in

@@DanMas1131 El M4 GT4 es una maravilla no lo cambio por nada. El M4 GT3 lo he utilizado bastante pero esta semana en Suzuka he comprado el Lambo y definitivamente es mi coche favorito. Tienes algún video en mi canal de todos ellos. De usuario nivel bajo.

The Macca wants a *lot* of rake, and some other less than intuitive settings.
Alright, so I've been tuning this thing for the last couple days in preparation for our league race tonight (the apex is lava, Nordschleife combined long) and I'm prepared to explain further:
The Macca is super weird to setup, in some ways it's pretty disingenuous to the point where I wonder if it's actually broken.
First off, as previously stated, she wants a lot of rake. An inch or more is a good starting point. You want to get around 36% df to the front wheels via the calculator. I top this off with -1° rear wing
You'd think lowering the front sway bar would help, but anything under 6 loses front traction, so leave that up and max out the rear bar
Now things get really weird. Where you'd usually toe the front out and the rear in, the Macca wants those *reversed*. So even though toe out is a last resort on most cars you can get away with it here, I use -1/8" combined and at the front go with all the toe In you can get without yellow banding. Iirc it's pretty much 3/8" combined.
Camber needs to be maxed at both ends.
Do you think the Porsche might be the safest bet for someone new to GT3 cars? I'm just about to B class and im starting to think about moving from Mazda to GT3 once I hit B class, I'm not looking for the fastest car on the track, but the most forgiving for beginner errors.
BMW all day for most forgiving and easiest to drive. It's by far the safest bet for me. Porsche can snap at times at lower downforce. I've never had a problem with the BMW 👍
The Porsche was the quickest car around Silverstone during IMSA Week 12 and the Ferrari was a little off pace. Interesting
It still is! Maybe except for the Audi/lambo not sure. Porsche and Ferrari are unchanged so that still is the case. I expect that Steel is simply way more comfortable in the Ferrari as he drove it a bunch. Porsche is still "fastest".

The Ferrari this season is a totally different car compared to last season. Daytona fixed setup compared to literally every other GT3 car has zero pace
