I thought I'd leave a pinned comment with my final lap times here (All times on set up unless specified): Road Atlanta: Ford: 1:18.945 Corvette: 1:19.388 Lambo: 1:18.667 Bathurst: Ford: 2:04.600 Corvette: 2:04.604 Ferrari: 2:03.836 (probably disregard this though since it has a turbo and hence a big advantage at altitude) Long Beach Ford: 1:19.571 Corvette: 1:19.660 Lambo: 1:19.121 I also did some laps on the HYMO baseline set they released and was able to get 2-6 tenths off these times depending on track. P.S I'm very very sorry for my horrible pronunciation of Sachsenring hahaha
Your opinions on the Mustang are interesting to me. I agree with the sounds being better and the fact it can tackle kerbs very well. However, I find it slower than the Merc and generally blockier feeling than most other GT3's. In fact, I found I am on average a full second slower in the Mustang than with other GT3's pushing them equally. I can bring the Mustang to a higher pace, but I have to try that much harder. All my testing was done using stock HDF setups around Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen.
I'm a big fan of Navarra and the new STANG. Sounds great and suits my driving style! Really covered everything including the sound of the new cars which is big for someone as obnoxious and shallow as me lol
Honestly, your experience with a car is going to depend on your driving Style. I've always done better with mid-engine cars, and I find the pointyness of the Corvette to be quite good with pace. The tendency of the rear to step out under braking is definitely annoying, but I found that I can significantly reduce that by messing with the dampers. In fact, the Corvette has become my new favorite GT3 car. Definitely faster than the McLaren that just came out, which is a bit disappointing because I've been wanting that particular McLaren to be added to the simulator for a long time now.
I was doing laps with the Corvette for a few days and then an update came through 6/10 and I think it made it faster but I am probably not good enough to know for sure.
I feel like the mustang is going to be weird with viisbility in VR since you can't change FOV but you can change driver height wish we could get rid of the sunstrip they have give us more visibility
if its not a globally popular track its not surprising not many would buy during week 13? Even in regular racing it might need iracing to push it in official series to ‘encourage’ people to buy it and that might start some word of mouth/popularity.
It’s also worth mentioning that the TCR’s have had a tire update too, they now feel like they have tires made of rubber rather than plastic! Really worth trying if you’re into fwd goodness.
Even though Sachenring is low budget for racing I bought it. When I was young I had a weird fixation with Sachenring in a MotoGP game, we're talking hundreds of hours on that track and as soon as I saw it I just had to experience it in iRacing. Very fun track to drive, challenging to push.
I ran both at Nurburgring and one thing I found I think because of that track the mustang I didn’t mind the small window but because the front end is so thick when your going over hills many times I felt myself going into turns blind. Just something I noticed I figured would add for you
Its actually realistic though, I drive a 2009 mustang irl and it has the exact same issue over hills, hump bridges etc. The dash is high and the hood is huge and I can definitely see the newer ones suffering with the same thing.
I bought the street stocks they sound so good, and the corvette. I think that, and I should’ve got the mustang. I think the tracks are okay and I’ll be buying it if I need to for officials
I don't buy Sachsenring, I learned from Ledenon. You pay full price, it's rarely used in officials, and when nobody drives there, and 2 seasons later it gets free content. I know better ways to waste my money. I drive Sachenring when it's getting free
Interesting.. for me the mustang is even more unstable than the porsche lol. I tested it on the nordschleife and it had gigantic lift-off oversteer. I normally don't have a problem keeping rear engined cars on track but this was impossible. Even in some other corners where it wasn't lift-off oversteer

I decided to get the Mustang. I have the Ferrari 296 which is MR and I can use it in the ferrari challenge and GT3 class. I also have porsche cup which is RR and has a similar performance as the GT3 cars. To complete the set I decided to get a Mustang for the traditional FR experience, with the horse in the front and traction in the rear.

The Vette sounds so bad from the cockpit. It really reminds me of some of the earlier Gran Turismo "Hoover Vacuum" engine sounds.
