- In this video ill show you how i camp in the peak district uk in bad weather,its always best to stay warm and dry. On this particular trip I bring my Hilleberg Soulo, Hilleberg tents are very strong and the Hilleberg Soulo is one of the strongest out there, having the right camping gear and knowing camping hacks and camping tips is important.
outdoor adventures and outdoor activities can be fun in good and bad weather,caming in the rainand bad weather camping is a rest of outdoor survival,good outdoor preparation is key so we can camp safely.
This was a windy storm with rain and at times torrential rain ,i managed to stay safe warm and dry.

I'm a little old for this style of camping now but being inside a tent, completely snug and warm, listening to the wind/rain is one of the best feelings ever!

I don't know your situation, but alot of people, though they be well aged, begin to feel younger and are more mobile and physically strong after just a few workouts and alot of well balanced calories. Good nutrition, hydration, and exercise. You may have to start out small but after 2 or 3 workouts I promise many feel much stronger and limber. Something to consider because there are alot of people in their 70's who do this and feel and function much younger. And if you get close to Jesus you can get even better physical vitality
Same, in a warm sleeping bag in a dry tent, pissing with rain out 😊
@@Manofmanyhobbies86 My problem is I always wake up mid night and panic trying to get out of my sleeping bag because the rain is making me have to pee so badly lol!
. Yes agree, I try to look after myself, I used to run marathons but my body says no these days. I find carrying a backpack and cycling a good workout. Cheers for watching 👍

I noticed Sheffield spelt with one F as is the case at the Hope Cross.
How do you find the Soulo for condensation? Hilleberg are often criticised for being condensation magnets but I don't think that's really justified. I like as much ventilation as possible and often sleep with the inner open at least half way. The tent is there to keep you dry and out of the wind. Your clothing and sleeping bag/quilt is there to keep you warm.
Your videos are refreshingly honest and straightforward. Too many nowadays are slick, barely concealed adverts for whatever free gear the protagonist has been sent.

Cheers Frederick, really appreciate your kind comment, yes the monument had one for, it dates back to the 17 hundreds on the way up to white edge from the Baslow Rd end, some fascinating stone circles round that area.
I have no condensation problem with the Soulo, the enan is more of a problem without the footprint but after buying one it's not bad at all.
Not sure about the enan, don't love it like the Soulo... May sell next year.

I've never considered camping on that bit of the Peaks. Looks like a nice place to pitch up and a little bit less busy than up Kinder and Derwent Edge. So many places to go visit, and right on the doorstep.

Very good test for this tent out there, can get really rough on the edge!
This is a great camp spot... Its hidden from the view of people, it was a rough eve but the tent didn't budge 🙂

Aah the versitility of the bushbox . Easy to use with a Trangia as well as twigs .
As you said , kerping warm is due to what you take with you , 100% minimalist is fine for warner consistent weather, but not midsummer in the higher bits of the Uk.
Still, love yhe sound of wind and rain on tent when you're all cosy .
(My video from easter Sunday was equally wet and windy .
Bushbox are so good, love the quiet... Not into gas stoves.. The jet engine noise... Only use the quilt when it's above 10 degrees at night... Cheers for watching 👍

Camped at the base and walked up to the tops there, but want to camp at the top. And in the rain! Like naked noodles, beef pho my fave. Although inthink the beef is only available in the posher more expencive naked noodle now
It's a great area to be, much quieter than kinder area, in this vid I didn't see anyone all evening... Ace.

Your naked Thai style sweet chilli pot noodles. Have you ever added a spoonful of peanut butter? I find that gives a meal a sort of satay taste.

Hello from Texas. Staying warm isn’t as issue for me. Staying dry is (outside of the drought we are having at the moment). I’ll trade you some weather!

Right now, under the current global circumstances, the coming collapse of FIAT Currency, I would suggest that you should have invested in Gold, not a tent 😵💫
A bit of gold could get you killed in the circumstances you describe, in more than one way. A decent tent, on the other hand, will keep you dry and warm until the weather improves. Figured out how you’re going to eat with your bit of gold?

So camping in bad weather, just buy a hiliberg, ok then, everyone can afford one of them
Literally ANY tent can be coated and can have seam sealer put on the seams to make it much drier
Get yourself a firebox from the usa
