I've seen Tidus' Bow builds and I know he's a speedrunner but Peak Performance on Elemental Bow just feels pointless for non-speedrunners but post-Fatalis does give the option too use it and when active does give you a massive boost but requires not taking damage cause Elemental Bow is augmented for max Element.Idk Coalescence over Peak Perf just seems better if you can activate it.Just my personal opinion.
@@LordViettner I know your not but figured i'd mention it in case other players ain't too keen on Peak Perf but wanted an alternate and useful replacement
I think the key phrase to Coalescence is “if you can” activate it. Peak has a very easy trigger to activate and keep up. Getting coal to activate is very match up specific trigger or having to go out of your way to trigger it by other means.
@@Sitankou Reason why Peak doesn't really play well with Bow is cause you generally don't run Health Regen on Bow and unless you script your hunts or never get hit then is Peak is a definite solid option plus Coales is actually very easy to proc but again "it's a game play how you want"
Ultimately, I feel like it primarily comes down to what you're hunting. From a casual perspective, run whatever your preference/comfort suggests. From a speed run perspective, if the monster can apply fire blight or you can safely receive thunder blight, by all means run coalescence. Getting hit by frost, water, or dragon blights however is crippling and against these monsters peak performance and avoiding damage would be optimal.
For bow? Velkhana(2) for crit element and namielle (2) for element acceleration. Max your elemental attack and affinity. Be sure to meld a bow charge decoration. Also, either use crit or elemental charm(s)to help here You can transition to silver rathalos(4) or frostfang barioth(4) through the event quest for true critical element. Should carry through to this stuff I think? Sprinkle in some survival skills to not die constantly
@@Phnxkon ok sick I have full Velkana set, that's helpful thank you! Would you happen to know what armor set to grind at place I'm at for best defense? I would love to be a tank
So for the raw build, why do we have the dragon element instead of just maxxing the attack to 7? Does that little element just do more damage on things that have little dragon weakness?
if I remember correctly, the raw build is also the dragon build in this video. So if you're using it on dragon weak monsters, you build for level 3 dragon attack, but (and I probably should've said this in the video) if you're running it as just a raw bow, you can definitely drop the dragon attack to go for other attack skills!
Can you recommend anything for bow users that CANT get fatalis armor? I’ve been stuck on him for over a week now and I can’t get past phase 1. Even with max vitality boost and max divine blessing, he still 1 shots me
sure, it's a little risky with safi health drain, but I'd go with: - Alatreon Bow (health and elemental augments) - Safi Helm B - Alatreon Chest B - Safi Arms B - Safi Waist B - Alatreon Legs B - Wyrmsbane Charm V - Your mantles of choice Use decos to get your FINAL skills to this, or as close as you can: - Dragon Attack 5 - Evade Window 5 - Defense Boost 4 - Health Boost 3 - Weakness Exploit 3 - Part Breaker 3 - Constitution 3 - Divine Blessing 3 - Blight Resistance 1 - Spread/Power Shots 1 - Critical Boost 1 - Fortify 1 - Resentment 1 - Bow Charge Plus 1 (most important, do NOT forget) - Clutch Claw Boost 1
www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunterMeta/comments/j67qsg/bow_tips_antifatalis_build/ idk if this will be helpful, but here's what I could find for an anti-fatalis build :D
this video is great really, thank you so much. Also one question, does anyone know who are the best monsters to use that raw build? how good have to be the monster elemental hitzones to decide that it has to be elemental build?
is there a set where i dont need to use mantle and eat certain food and just go hunt? im thinking of trying bow as my first ranged weapon. Or is it a must things to do when you play this weapon?
it's not a *must*, but stamina management is a big deal with bow, so it really helps and makes the weapon feel and play a lot smoother if you don't want to eat for felyne blackbelt or use dash juice, then getting constitution to level 4 or 5 will be the best case scenario!
Check out the event Azure Age set. It’s a really good performing set with true Crit element before you get to sweaty endgame. It comes from an event quest that is easy to solo.
for dragon weak matchups like raths, diablos, and elders, no, for anything else, it's worth a try to toss in some extra attack. try it, see which way you like it more
Is it wrong to just use raw damage fatalis sets for everything I don’t mess with element stuff at all just seems like an annoyance to mess with elements
nah, it'll be fine, if you don't want to mess with all the elements. however, bow and DBs specifically really benefit from elemental matching, so you'll lose out on some damage in a lot of matchups
Wait, wait, so TWO levels of Normal Shot Up don’t stack with Felyne Sharpshooter? Only one? So I’ve had an extra Forceshot deco in my set for the last million hunts? 😂
they do stack, i never said they don't stack. just that if you need extra room in your set you can drop down to a single level and sharpshooter (which is close to just level 2), instead of 2 levels and sharpshooter
it’s better, higher EFR overall, since power coatings scale heavily off of attack boosting skills. that’s why the only set without power coatings is very different
Why a health augment? I heard that it's pretty bad on bow specifically. You only get the health regen from 1 arrow per shot and the regen is afaik 7.5%. So if you deal 100 damage per arrow, you only get 7.5 HP back which is barely enough to outheal the Safi armor drain. Is that really worth it or am I missing something?
I thought the Silver Rathalos armour was the best set because of true critical element. What happened whilst I've been gone. For reference I haven't played since Alatreon was released?
yeah true crit element is very niche now, it's not really ever the best anymore (except in like 1 scenario), Safi armor destroys it and fatalis armor is just god-tier for pretty much everything
Hey brother, a couple weeks ago, I let you know I was trying to fill energy solo Safi Jiiva without Fatalis gear with the hammer as I haven’t seen anyone document or have video proof to show that it was possible without Fatalis gear. I am living breathing proof that so long as you have 1 health regeneration augment and 1 attack augment, it is indeed possible without Fatalis gear. I finished my story of defeating every single master rank monster in Iceborne without Fatalis gear, including Ancient Leshen and Extreme Behemoth. Extreme Behemoth and Safi Jiiva were the only two I needed the health regeneration augment to do it with and considering those two are the hardest monsters in the game in terms of mechanics, I am willing to say they were worthy of the augments. th-cam.com/video/pUl0NcGR7QM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h_7BxIDz1QHADitx

- Constitution 3
- Divine Blessing 3
- Blight Resistance 1

yes it does stack, not sure if it's a 30% bonus or if either one multiplies the other, but they do work together
