- The part i missed in the video is that Tope's car got burnt. I thought mine was burnt too until my driver brought it home the next day. He had fled like everyone else but since he lives in the neighbourhood and recognised some of the guys, he went back to get the car. They attacked him in the car, smashed all the front, back and side windows. They damaged other parts of the car while he drove through them and escaped with the car. He kept it somewhere and brought it back the next day.

Good to see you and the crew are alive and well. These youths are not hoodlums but products of Nigerian society where the leaders and communities have failed them. They have no hope to look forward to in Nigeria. Unfortunately, these hungry and angry youths took their frustrations on wrong people. They youths with potentials who felt let down by the elites flaunting their wealth/ material gains in the community . No infrastructure and enabling environment to assist them thrive. Morayo, I easily identified with your traumatic experience. I was in a similar situation in 1983 during the post election crisis that paralysed Akure as a staffer of Radio Nigeria. While the Administration Dept was located on Ilesha Road, the studio was tucked inside a remote village at the back of Gowon Estate. Angry mob invaded my residence at the back of Police Hqtrs on Ilesha Rd which was rescued by my landlord's good neighbours. While the offices couldn't open, I was in the studio along with 4 others keeping the station afloat for almost a month. Thank God for His divine protection over you and Tope. One of the hazards of this exciting profession of broadcasting. Congratulations.
