  • We have heard different stories of greed after a family member dies, especially when it's the man of the house.
Celebrity Toke Makinwa took to her Instagram page and told ladies
that the moment they find out their in-laws are greedy, such a lady
should not fail to ask their husbands to put properties in their
    children's name.
She referenced that she has never seen a man being kicked out of the
house after the death of his partner.
What can be done to curb such culture?

    Much love to Mariam 💕
Morayo there is nothing wrong with people showing emotions, it's actually healthy for ones mental health whether it's a show or not it's healthy. The ladies of the real, the view, Oprah do this all the time. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Women too should work hard and get their WILLS done in favour of their children. WILLS are not made for men alone.

God bless you Suffy DJ... my brother’s wife just killed my brother because of his big life insurance and she saw his will when he was away. My brother put his properties in his children’s name and she’s selling the properties already. I pray God protects my brother’s children. It’s a wicked world.

This happened to my older sister who lost her husband less than four(4) months after their wedding day leaving her with twin girls to cater for. It's been the most difficult ten (10) months of our lives as a family.
Aunty Mariam Longe, I can understand your feelings. God help us all. Amen.

African men, should start planning for all eventuality. Even if you don't care what happen to your wife when you are gone as she may probably remarry or whatever. Please once you have children, write a will to protect your children.

Sad to say Chris these women sell off the properties before the kids grow up. Am a woman and I am talking from experience.

Good topic. The problem is people's ignorance particularly among some Muslims who do not follow the dictate of their religion. Allah has recommended will writing, in the holy Quran, for Muslims. Even when a Muslim dies intestate, the mathematical formula is there for sharing their properties for the heirs.

In my perspective, this issue may arise before marriage...family traditions and how parents manage relationships should not be ignored .
Nigerian parents/ young lovers who choice to pay less attention to family traditions and values suffer more harm.... the idea that women are blame of the death of their husbands is sooooo nollywood.(it is best partners understand their partners family tradition)
I suggest the focus of this program should be less on some man writing theirs wills and some women starting the conversations.
Nowadays more women are financially independent as today’s conversation paints women in general has the weaker vessel.
The discussion should be more on parents taking proactive decisions against future family/ outside interference rather then greedy in law.

Keep hatred aside and ameliorate things that are not right.
