Chastity is a very difficult decision but it is very important as Christian. As a christian young lady, I've pledged to be chaste till marriage. That being said, it does not take away that feeling and craving of sex. Sometimes I call my bestie, sometimes I call my senior friend and mentor and I cry about it. And I plead to God to help me and strengthen me in my weakness. Sex is more than just pleasure. There is more to it, it affects your spirituality, it affects your self respect, it sometimes affects the relationship. I have heard a lady said she was a virgin and would marry a virgin. And if she later meet a virgin guy and get married to him for that reason, then divorce is sure why because marriage can't be figured with sentiments. I support Mr. Brown's opinion. If she refuses to have sex with the man and another lady did and they got married, does it mean their home is not blessed and they are Christians? A lot of ladies are not strong in their faith but try to act it. Tradition could demand sex before marriage, it is the responsibility of the lady to confirm if the family support the demand. Once they accept, I strongly believe the marriage is almost completed. The money paid as dowries is just to formalize it. There are people that do court wedding, do we say they haven't married? Do we say the westerners that don't collect bride price are not married. We mix culture to the point that we miss the message. My stance is that a woman can give her body to the man that his family has accepted.

To corroborate mr Brown's submission on this issue, my mother also told me as a young teenager that if i engage in sex as a teenager, i would not be able to stop it and it will affect my education seriously and i will not be able to make it well out of school. So i didn't have sex during my early days in the higher institution but i thank God that the person i had sex with later as a teenager uptil the moment i married was my wife and probably this is the reasons things have been going well for me. I have never experienced any calamity until October 2020 when my wife died suddenly, as if it was a drama or film, then i new what is meant by loosing your loved one ro the cold hands of death.

Mr brown I disagree with you. 14yrs of waiting does not necessary means you will be desperate to marry even if getting pregnant as a condition. Besides if God wants you to wait that long you will know His will if you are serious Christian most of us just want our own will to be done not God's own. Our preferences are not God's so could probably have revealed your husband during that 14yrs and neglect it or it could be you yourself were not serious in your walk with Him. We want perfect marriage but our Obedience isn't complete with God.

Mr Brown's advice is so wrong. Who is he and what are his values REALLY? So lady should sleep with her fiançe and get pregnant just because she's afraid of losing him? This is such a hypocritical stand. What if she doesn't get pregnant, should the man jilt her? This kind of mentality/demand reduces women to mere child-bearing machines. No woman (esp. Christian) with a healthy self-esteem will descend so low as to violate her personal beliefs and values. If a woman can sleep with her fiançe with the intention of getting pregnant, thereby proving she's fertile, then a woman can also sleep with her boyfriend/fiançe just for the pleasure of it. BTW, where's it written that that particular man (and his family) making such request is the best or only man for her? Our problems start when we try to play God -- it's either we trust God wholeheartedly and ask him to show us a way out of difficult situations and temptations or we don't and use worldly wisdom to solve all our problems. I believe a true believer will do the former
