  • If you have problems with the loose left pedal on your Tacx Neo Bike and you have allready tried with other bolts and screws and enough power and the problem comes back after a few hours pedaling, i have found the solution. Since then absolutely no more problems.
    Not to see on the video: I have it optimized:
    You can wrap tape on both ends of the screws. This has the advantage that the washers do not wobble and that the screw passes through the axle centered. Simply wrap it around the screw a few times until it is exactly the same diameter as the housing.
    (Sorry for my basic English, but I think it's more important to help other people, as to speak perfectly :-)
    Viel Spass beim Indoor-Training...

    I applied your solution a few days ago and it works very good so far.

    Thank you for the detailed video! It works with my bike very well. I was worried that my ankles could get close to or even contact the screw head or nut but but the clearance is good enough.

    I had just watched the video again three months/~1.000 km after installing the solution (thanks for the vidoeo again!) because on the ride yesterday a noise in the pedal bearing area started.
    For test purposes I removed the long bolt to possibly hear a difference. I noticed that the washers were now visibly bent inwards and the left pedal arm was loose again. I corrected this and fitted the screw with the washers turned around for the time being. The noise is gone for now. I will now try to find a 1.2 mm thick screw instead of my 1.1 cm thick one and new, hopefully more stable washers.

      I have optimized: on the both ends of the screw I put some tape around. Now the diameter fits perfectly to the tunnel (the screw is now perfectly in the middle of the tunnel). My washer dont make any noises 😊

    good one!!! I would recommend an allen key bolt with the flat head and a nyloc nut or loctite.

    I fixed it with the Crank Bold von SRAM DUB - Bottom Bracket. Before that I had a test solution like yours.
    The crank material is just too soft. The crank therefore requires contact pressure.

    • @retoreto123
      @retoreto123  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have also tested a better Bold - but after 2 weeks the pedal was loose. I think that this construction with the little screw can not hold durable the crank arm with the force that is generating during pedaling. With this solution, the crank arms are squeeze together and the left crank arm can not go away...

    • @reiviana

      Does the sram Dub screw works good?

    • @retoreto123
      @retoreto123  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@reiviana I have tried it but after 2 weeks it has to came out again, and the left pedal began to wiggle again. Though I loose the little screw first, then screwed the Sram Screw in and then tighted the little pedal screw very hard. So I began to analyse the problem with the wiggle pedal and found the solution "how to prevent that the left pedal loose the contact to the bike-body" and now I am over 2 months happy.

      @@RafaelCayuela-vt1ym go to a big store who sell iron things and things for constructions. If the screw is too long , then cut it with an iron saw 😉

    Make sure not to screw the bolt too tight as it will wear out the bearings.

    Hi and thank you so much for this, I applied your solution and it helped a lot! I still have some small movement I can feel while pedaling, is there any other trick?

    • @retoreto123
      @retoreto123  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you have good thighten the nuts? If yes, it is not possible that the pedals have some movements. Bought nuts are squezzing the pedal arms together.

      I agree with you but maybe my problem is different... I do not feel the wobble when there is road feel ON, if it is NOT ON, I have it again

    Did this and it works great except the washer on the left side is rattling when I pedal. Do I just need to tighten the nut more or do I need another washer?

      I am glad to help other people. You have to tighten a little bit both nuts. Not to hard, but the washers shouldn‘t rattling.
