      I think you are referring to a silicon, you need to put little rtv silicon where the timing cover and the cylinder head meet and also the corner where the camshaft to prevent oil leak. Thanks for the comment.

    Thank you for the video, helped a lot. Also helped me to realize I should have purchased the OEM ford gaskets. I purchased the Fel-Pro brand gasket and immediately upon turning the car back on the VVT seals started to leak... noticed from your video they seemed to go down much more smoothly than the fel-pro one I bought, I had to really push my body weight onto the valve over near the timing chain for the two sensors to push through the seals. Waiting on the ford gasket to come in now haha.

      @@junfam24 Will definitely be putting on some grease to install when the OEM gasket comes in. Have you had any leaks on your VCT seals since you completed this job? I am really hoping it was just the brand of gasket I bought that was the issue haha.

    This is helpful except I have an ST and either aftermarket parts from previous owner or something. Bolt #12 (the one on top right-hand corner if looking at it from the bumper) is unable to be screwed out because there is a black piece of flat metal sitting over the screw. It doesn't budge so I suspect it's bolted down on something else. I'm super frustrated because I cannot seem to find ANY video of this anywhere... Erg even a written tutorial in a forum would help at this point b

      I think you can just pull it up, and that will come out, I’m not 100% sure, but usually if there something on top of the bolt is will come out first before you can take the bolt

    Have oil leak from this valve cover. Will go to this shop they can look at it give me estimate. But seems easy enough to do myself. 2016 Focus SE 2.0L duratech engine. Was originally told by another mechanic that oil getting into starter's pinion gear was caused by rear main seal. ..in your opinion, can top valve cover leak get into starter gear ? Yet this other shop said valve cover gasket replacement if not done right could cause my fuel pressure pump to be ruined. . but looks simple. And that those two cam sensors will give me a hard time..? Seems a lot of false bogus claims..

    I am having leakage from the solenoid seals. Is it possible to fix by hitting them down with a large socket to tighten or am I screwed and have to redo all the gaskets and seals. They are so tight when putting them on.

    • @junfam24
      @junfam24  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If is leaking pretty bad, you might need to re do it, and you should put some little oil or lubricate the seal before putting it back

      @junfam24  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi thanks for watching my video, in regards to your question if there is a oil on your spark that is a sign of the gasket start to leak, however if still very little leak it’s ok not to change the gasket, but you need to make sure you don’t wait until it will get worse before you change the gaskets. Appreciate your comment.

    • @junfam24
      @junfam24  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello thanks for watching my video, to answer your question it depends on the situation but it could, if you have loose Timing chain it could jump tooth of the gear and the engine will not run good or will start, as long as the chain did not brake your not going to bent the valves.

      @@junfam24 just today this mechanic thru phone walked me thru compression test . It was basically the same as others I've seen on videos . A lil different ( I think ) in that he didn't have me remove fuel pump fuse disabling it . he also had me take off all spark plugs off at same time and test with gauge . I cranked it for about five seconds and each one had over 120 psi almost 130 . He said that's plenty and manual says 12:1 . Sooo based on that he doesn't think engine needs replacing ..?? If you agree that's fantastic newss !!! That whatever the reason for my prooblem of not starting running definitely don't need engine replaced ?? !! Your input would be greatly appreciated sir

    • @junfam24
      @junfam24  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Frank yes the engine it seems like there is no internal issue base of the compressions test is good, however is hard for to say because I don’t know what’s the problem of your vehicle, if you can tell what’s the vehicle issue probably I can give you more insight. And let me know if you have any check engine code.

    • @frankmontez6853
      @frankmontez6853 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@junfam24 yes check engine light is on when I turn key . Also several times camshaft codes came up when I barely managed to get it to Auto Zone . Originally It had underneath damage to CV axle and motor mounts and timing cover attached to it . It was running fine at home after this but once I took it to this shop won't run . After I tinkered it , finally ran ( sorta ) and made it Auto Zone and scanned it a few days ago . Now also mamged to make it to this other shop but now won 't start at all . cranks but won't start . This ote rshop checked it and specifically said it failed compression test and needed engine swap . ith the help of thias other certified mechanic I found on FB he helped me run compression test and looks good at over 120 almost 130 psi on all four cylinders . Do you agree based on what I just told you I don't need new engine ?

    • @junfam24
      @junfam24  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Base of what you said if the engine crank and won’t start and I’m not 100% sure if you have crank sensor or cam sensor code if either one of them is not working and the computer will not see the signal from the sensor it will not turn on the fuel pump and that could cause the crank by won’t start, you can check that first and replace the sensor if is not working.
