Tool's cover of You Lied by Peach
Artist: Tool
Song: You Lied (Live)
Album: Salival
[Lyrics]
Setting sun can't shine, now you're gone
Inside sleeping, my heart beating
You know that you tried to hide it
Couldn't you have said what you meant? Oh...
Time heals, time congeals around us
Endless hours of wasted moments
Understanding, not demanding
Your eyes tell what you feel inside
Setting sun can't shine, now you're gone
Inside sleeping, my heart beating
You know that you tried to hide it
Shouldn't you have said what you meant?

Almost every Tool song is somehow a truly spiritual experience.
Facts. Their song Pnuema has a very important spiritual message ;)

Welcome to the tool army
they try hard, they make it looks so easy when all they are doing is their best to be completely enveloped by the topic and design the sound in which it lives.
no one even tries anymore, they defy being cool. they are fully sick by todays standards, and thats maybe why the "sick" are here to listen and resonate.
I fucking love tool like holy shit

meh meh Pretty much sums it up...
+meh meh This song is a cover of Peach the band Justin Chancellor was in before he joined Tool.
+meh meh For real.
+Drunk Sloppy The Peach version is not heavy, however. Still good stuff though, but this version blows the original away.
My kids are tripped out because I like this kind of music. It's a solid digestible way to process life's pain, in my opinion. Love it.
good kids
That's why they call themselves "Tool".
Austin Brown indeed. Experts on the study of lacrymology they intended to be a way to deal with such things... you know laughter is the best medicine and all that... it the name took in respect to this band was indeed intentionally able to mean a tool to get through life, a tool...like an idiot, fool, OGT in92 etc etc, a tool is also a another word for someone’s penis. It’s a punny triple entendre all three of which are equally true.
apparently your sperm have more wisdom than you, right out of the box.

I'm almost 60 and I cannot believe that it took me so long to discover Tool's music. I'm speechless.

justblacksawss Sorry I shouldn't pry. 😐
he's no brother I once had
@@commonman9732 no man you're fine. I only now noticed you're comment 4 yrs late. Drunk as before. No my only blood brother got killed back in '16 and this is my way of connecting with him. Never will I ever get over it
That voice alone is perfect then all the perfect music!!!
Tool is on another level straight up
If I could go back in time just once, I'd probably use it to see this concert live, that's how much I love this song!
10.18.19 TOOL SLC: Girlfriend and I got invited to the show. Drove down from Montana. Met up with the gentleman (Craig B ) who introduced me to TOOL many, many years ago. Sat center, row 5, got a tour of the sound and lighting booth and backstage hang on the bus. Huge thanks to MH and BH for one of the greatest experiences of our lives. Extra HUGE Thanks to the members of TOOL! Your musical contributions have greatly enhanced the lives of many! Lastly, this tune is an absolute, sonic masterpiece! ( as is all of your music )
Big Duke's Outdoors dude i live in montana too I’m so sad I missed that show!
Zabieram się do tego od dawna, żeby opisać tę konkretną piosenkę. Zmieniła w moim życiu wszytko i jestem wdzięczna. 🌻
Tool has been such an integral part of my life. My children now grown have listened to them their entire life....thank you for sharing
I don't have kids, but if I do, I hope they love TOOL as much as I do.
i will force them to
+Ivan Flores
Hope you dont...
Tell them you "hate this band" and they will love it.
guess who laughs last ;)
+Gaunerelmo best method to get anyone to like anything
+urdumbfoo make them.
ever since my dad showed me tool it's been our favorite band, he's seem them live like 9 times and was a fan before they got huge
I wish Justin would sing more. Him and Maynard sound amazing together.
He sings on this track? I didn't even realise
Oh at 5:38 ? That's Justin? Wicked
@@TheBlackKnight1o1 Yes. Check out some other live performances of this song and you can see him singing. It's fantastic.
As Maynard gets older, that would be an awesome way to help keep making music that just sounds awesome. I'm so glad I stumbled across this comment, I had no idea!
Justin sings? That is too awesome!
Man every time I listen to this I’m just blown away by the sound production on this Live track its just fkn Amazing!!!!👍👍
I haven’t heard this in so long and forgot how amazing it is. Thank you
Best part is Justin didn't have to learn it for tool.
So right!
That’s the best part? How so?
Kelly Sebzda Justin Chancellor was the bassist for Peach, the band that Tool covered with this
@@maxobb7259 And peach became Suns of the Tundra, new album out back end of last year. Go check out Murmuration
@@kevinduthie1580 I did not know that. Is the new band reminiscent of peach?
I hope their new album moves me as much as their previous ones did. In reality I always associated each Tool song to a specific event or feeling in my life which made each song more meaningful. I guess I'm hoping to find more of that this year!
1000 days is there best album. My favorite ever. The new one is great. But 1000 days is the best.
@@williamrosskopf8657 its 10000 days not 1000
@@koreyseeba3835 I’m sure you know what I meant.👎👎
Imagine the feeling the live audience would be getting when they hear it and the few who recognize it.
Placing an ad in the middle of this song should be considered a criminal act.😂
I've been listening to this song constantly for 3 weeks now and I'm still not tired of it.
4 weeks
been listening to all the tool albums at work for one and a half month now and im still not tired of it!!!
Get used to it. You'll be listening for years. And you still won't get bored of it 😆
